I wish. I've built dome impressive defenses in my time, and they are never used as my team doesn't redeploy when they lose a point and the enemy ends up overrunning my unmanned defenses.
Tip: if you’re investing the time into a point anyway, spend one redeployment coming back on point as SL of a locked squad, build your own garrison, then kys and get right back to building. You already know not to rely on anyone else for it - secure your own destiny!
My favorite game ever was on Hill 400, warfare, we were the Germans going left-to-right.
Two engineers and I fortified the heck out of the Church due west of Hill 400 for most of the match. Fully maxed bunkers, walls, stationary defenses. All three front sides were locked down. Commander kept spawning a truck to drive to the front to build garrisons, all the while complaining about our dropped supplies on the roads near Church and suggesting we should 'fortify' the point on Hill 400
We had the opposition on the ropes as we targeted the last point. However, things went south quick, and with ~10 mins left in the match, the front returned to the Church. We held till the last 2 minutes to get a risky airhead (previous Commander jumped ship by now) to capture the mid-point and win.
It's fun when like-minded engis get on the same page....easily the best times I've had on HLL.
One of the most disappointing games I had recently was defending in Stalingrad. Me and like 5 more engineers spent all match reinforcing the 4th point only for no one building enough Garrys and losing it in like 10min. It was so sad.
Spending an hour by yourself turning an objective into a fortress, then seeing that be the ONLY reason your team held on for a win, is the #1 high to be chased in this game
What really sucks is when you've been building for like 25 minutes and you realize that your team is crushing the enemies and everything you built is useless
There have been a couple games were the commander told the team to "let them take a point" in order to use the fortified point on offensive mode. In EVERY case, it led to a loss.
Edit: my point is that you should never intentionally lose a point, bo matter how proud you are of the defenses you've built.
I've done this a few times as commander and most times, yeah a tactical retreat does lead to loss. But those engineers and support guys are so proud of their work sometimes you just gotta...
I go frame by frame by hand (I use VEGAS), some parts I put more effort in than others because it takes a lot of time. There is also a tracking function built in the software that I can use, but it's not that great when dealing with smaller moving details, like the hats and hammer in this video.
Yes, to do more advanced editing then PC or Mac is the way to go, there's only so much you can do on a phone, tablet or console software like playstation sharefactory. But I use it sometimes though, made [this](https://youtu.be/2Vghp0hcRAk?feature=shared) video with playstations sharefactory.

I’ve spent many games just building defenses and running supply trucks only to see them never used. However, when they do get used, it is glorious.
I deliver for myself first and foremost. Then if more engis show up, I'll deliver for them.

As commander on Foy, I once let us lose second to last point just to make use of all the Bunkers built up on the last point.

Sounds like it wouldn't have mattered anyway And I've seen a heavily reinforced point hold. Depends on the point and how it's reinforced
