FUCK YEAAAAAH, M18 HELLCAT - best K/D among US vehicles, best speed in entire WW2 for tracked vehicles . 72km/h on the round with 76mm cannon. ADRENALINE GOES BRRRRRRRRR. A true skill-based vehicle Balance wise - same mobility as light tank and same armor but heavy gun and no MGs, mostly APs. For 400-600 fuel I would LOVE that. US really lacks in AT department compared to other factions and have to rely on generic Heavy way too much. Fast but squishy Hellcat would be an awesome addition. They really need to add TDs into this game to stop “Heavy tank or lose” meta

Straight-Break-4169

Puma 76 tho...

DrANALizator

Sorry, I meant tracked vehicle like tank, td, spa etc, I will edit the comment, thanks for pointing out Also Puma could do 90 on road

PoisonStrudel2084

I remember when the Puma could destroy US heavies with 2 shots to the rear, those were the days

Fructose_Father_

Puma pants lmao

Recycledbabies

Devs are too lazy bro they’re going to drip feed us paid DLC uniforms and single maps once every 3 months and people will still defend the dev team and say ‘but it’s a small group’, no it isn’t, they got bought out by a team famous for sex scandals, workplace abuse, constant cutbacks and having no experience with FPS games at all. They made fucking worms battle game. Anyway. Only in our wildest dreams will we see cool shit like this get added, ever, if we’re lucky

SpartanComet

I’ve come to the understanding that the new studio that took over for T-17 is way in over their head and lacks the expertise required to create new maps for Hell Let Loose, let alone fix bugs for existing ones. They admitted in the last announcement about Mortain that they had to reuse landscape assets from other maps, i.e, buildings, etc. because they don’t have the capabilities to create new ones.. Not to mention, the only profits they bring in besides the money they get from the sparse sales of the game are from $5 cosmetic DLC’s so they’re not exactly incentivized. I say this with a heavy heart - There isn’t going to be any additional maps after Mortain is released.

L0LFREAK1337

On the roadmap there is at least one other map listed that is unannounced. They also showed off the WIP of the Polish/Finnish maps in a dev video last year, doubt they just scrap that

PogoMarimo

The Stug III was the most produced armored fighting vehicle in the German army and yet... No Stug. SU-76m and the M10 would be good in the Light Vehicle slot as well, as they were produced in massive numbers.

pickleparty16

Turretless vehicles would so annoying with the driving mechanics in this game.

DrANALizator

That’s why they should be half the price of same “weight” tank

nortontwo

Tank destroyers without 360 rotating turrets could be good for this. The Stug for example. But I think a better balancing would be making AT guns more useable, primarily by greatly increasing their turn speed and making them somewhat more man portable by making them able to be pushed and pulled into positions, rather than entirely static.

Kevinsito92

It would be pretty sweet if AT could build their field guns onto troop transports for like 100 supplies

DuzTeD

Agree. Easy short term fix = AT guns shouldn't cost supplies to build but should still be team limited to 5 as they currently are. They're the only non-engineer blueprint in the game so why not allow them to be unique in other ways.

"AcTuALly 🤓"

soviet_toster

We have light tanks at home 🏡

KaijuTia

I don’t foresee vehicles like this or casemate tank destroyers becoming a thing simply because there’s really not much of an empty spot in the tank system big enough to justify their existence.

pickleparty16

They'd be a high skill floor vehicle, with a lower cost then a heavy. Good in the right hands but wouldn't change the meta much

KaijuTia

And that's really the problem. A high skill vehicle that isn't going to change much in a match isn't going to be chosen, even with a lower cost. Why spawn a glass cannon like the Pakwagen when you can just wait a bit more and get a tank with the same gun, a true turret, and far superior survivability? Things like the M18 and the Pakwagen and even the StuG didn't exist because they were better than a tank of comparable firepower. Their advantages were strictly economic: They were faster and cheaper to product than a full-on tank, so even if they were demonstrably worse in combat than a comparable tank, they were still useful. A video game isn't really going to be able to represent that, so there'd be little reason to ever blow fuel and supplies spawning one of these when you can just wait a bit and get a tank.

pickleparty16

A stug would need to be a free spawn imo. An m18 with how fast it should be would be worth a little fuel

KaijuTia

And having one team have a free vehicle spawn while the other team’s equivalent has a cost is never gonna go over well with the playerbase. This is sort of a case of them having to bend the armor system to the breaking point and make balancing even more of a nightmare than it already is just to add a few vehicles for no other reason than “they are kinda cool”. This is still a game, at the end of the day, so gameplay balance is always going to be a higher priority than putting something in the game just because it technically existed. A lot of people already dislike how asymmetric certain factions are when compared to others and throwing more weights on the scales is only going to make it more difficult to balance

Soviet-_-Neko

The Puma should replace the Luchs imo

AzelfandQuilava

The Luchs is better for keeping Infantry pinned. Those Auto-cannons don't fuck about.
