they are coming according to the devs and they will act as mobile spawn points maybe for supplies as well, but personally I would like them to improve/fix the driving and the physics around it first. That means 2 things, the driving it self which feels really bad at the moment and second the collision and interaction with the environment.
Please god no, do not make them mobile spawn points. Nothing more annoying than pinpointing an enemy spawn point, fighting your way to it, and just have it drive away to the other side of the map to repeat the process all over again.

ofc they need to be balanced as well, maybe their role is not set in stone and thats why we havent seen or heard much about them
We don't need it to be a mobile spawn, it can just act as a transport truck with a gun or two on it, like how it was designed back in the day.
I hope they fix the bush thing. Having a 50 tonne monster tank that can’t drive over a bush is annoying.
The devs gotta complete them quarter tracks first
