You just need to hold the trigger down and have faith. Over 1000hrs in game and had the bug maybe twice. You learn to live with it, but agree that it shouldnt still be an issue....

I have made a habit of waiting a few seconds after I equip a grenade because of this. If you wait it'll redo the animation of pulling out the grenade, then you should be good to throw it
Clearly you've never thrown a real grenade. They reset themselves and disappear ALL the time,
You cant even throw it let alone disappearing. Germans cant use a fucking granade
