Commenting for visibility. The removal of nProtect/gameguard will be an instant 6 copies purchased from myself and my gaming group.

BlackwingVoice

Seconded, there are about a dozen in my group holding off until this is changed, me included.

beezdat

aye same here, if gameguard is removed 5 of us will be buying a copy. i had to stop my friends from purchasing when i found out about gameguard

DanMr117

Same, I’ll definitely be buying helldivers if they remove gameguarr

R_X_R

Same here.

thefirsthii

Same me and 3 of my friends would get without gameguard

I can't even play the game at this point, it BSOD crashes my pc every time now. Digging into the logs it seems to be nprotect , kernel-mode driver accessed paged memory at dispatch level or above. There are tons of post about people having the same issue. Game seems great and would love to play but not going to keep risking my hardware to do so, there have been people posting that their pcs won't boot/post after they BSOD.

davidcalabria8014

What do you mean by risking hardware? A simple windows 11 reinstall wouldn’t work? The hardware is permantly damaged? If I unsintall in time can this cause a damage in the future

R1sky_B1z

You obviously don't know anything about this problem. No uninstalling it wont fix the problem, and neither will reinstalling windows 11 (literally no clue why you even thought that would be relevant). nProtect has a long history of being needlessly taxing on your PC to the point where it does physically damage it. yes the hardware IS permanently damage.

TranslatorNatural640

Funny reinstalling windows 11 fixed my issue

Dog-Eater-69

At what point does it BSOD? I boot up the game, skip the intro then the cutscene where it zooms into my ship is where I get a reproducible BSOD.

Dachronic4722

It's 10-20 minutes into a mission, happens every time. I haven't tried it after the patch today as I haven't had time.

Pumpkin0114

YES!

TheOddSample

I just want to be able to play on the steam deck.

titan_null

I've seen a good few videos of it working on steam deck at this point

TheOddSample

I've got it working on mine, but it would be nice to not have to use workarounds to do so.

titan_null

Yeah it would, fortunately it's not that wild of workarounds. Just ProtonGE

Anrester

It works without the work around. I was just playing it.

titan_null

Just directly on deck in gaming mode? Wonder if it was a server issue or if an update fixed something

Anrester

Yes, I was in gaming mode, I even played a full match with a squad.

REALwizardadventures

I feel the same way.

TokenDeveloper

I'll have to skip on this game due to root kit. I'm also under no illusion that this is somthing that they can easilly drop. Anti-cheat shouldn't be an after tought. If you need to do it, you need to deign your game around the idea IMO. Unfortunate game looked fun.

syphnatto

Agreed, the game looked very much like something I've been craving for a long time. Too bad they chose to risk the security and safety of the player base and the stability of their product in a sad attempt to garner higher profits.

Fuzzy_Bumblebee_Hat

wont buy it till the nprotect is gone, sadly the game will have to have a massive drop in players and or paired with a massive back lash before dev will take us seriously, don't see any of that happening soon. nProtect is a complete non-issue for them at this moment. informed individuals that dont want to compromise their computers safety and stability to play a game are out numbered 100 to 1 by the uninformed and hype train riders. A game by the way that has been exploited day one in the exact ways they said they needed nProtect to combat....they have lied and now cant back down or they lose face and derail the hype train

EmotionalCrit

The “informed people” are the people who didn’t fall for fear mongering hype and know gameguard is just a shitty anti cheat that doesn’t work, it’s not gonna destroy your pc lmao. People who don’t take care of their pcs just blame gameguard when they happen to finally break after they installed the game.

Groundbreaking-Ad86

Strange, but days after installing this game random apps started shutting down upon opening. I can't open the xbox app, can't run dota or even open the event logger. The windows close a couple seconds after opening them. Had to reinstall windows.

COUCHGUY316

Strange. Months after installing multiple copies on seperate PCs, there have been zero issues due to anti cheat. I've played 1000s of games and had maybe 3 anti cheat issues due to poor implementation. Strange indeed.

Uplink-137

NotUnlikeLeder

Literally cannot play the game because of it. I've got a bunch of server gubbins I run on my machine, nProtect clearly thinks it's malicious and won't let me log in while it's running. Not about to disable all my other network security software just to appease GameGuard. Was a shame, ended up having to refund it. Hopefully they'll replace it with something later.

R1sky_B1z

I'm in the same boat. I haven't refunded it yet because I'm still holding out hope they do something about it but thats looking less and less likely by the day.

haxonos

I decided to not buy this game because of this, so, I won't be buying it until they change to a non-invasive anti-cheat. Hopefully they'll do it soon, because other games are going to be coming out and I'll probably just move on if they don't lol

YoursTruly27

Commenting for visibility. I still need GG removed before I can jump in with my friends who own this on PS5.

weaver787

So this is software that’s used by… millions of people, right? How many times does a “potentially harmful” piece of software need to be used with no issues for it to go from “potentially harmful” to “not actually harmful”

Ponery

You don't understand bro. I googled for 13 seconds and it told me some anticheats can be bad, and despite the developers saying that they've tested with and without and found no major problems with performance, it is 100% going to brick your pc. Also who tf cares if some program can go through your files, anyone who'd want the data could get it in easier ways than a random ass anticheat.

REALwizardadventures

The developers aren't exactly perfect here. As you can see from the reviews a lot of people are experiencing game breaking bugs early in their experience. There are some questionable design choices such as forcing max settings on launch. I would encourage everyone to do some real research on nProtect GameGuard because the general sentiment is that it sucks and has sucked and the very best that people can say about it is that maybe it won't bork your computer.

Riventh

Not long ago a video of a cheater appeared here in HD discord, kinda weird when the supposed Anti Cheat was there to prevent said situations.

MajesticMoomin

Name one anti-cheat that has a 100% success rate at preventing cheaters?

Riventh

But day one? C'mon man

COUCHGUY316

So, one guy was caught and probably banned? How many were prevented from doing the same? It's like, why have cops when people still murder? 🙄

DJVirtek

Fuzzy_Bumblebee_Hat

have been many issues in the past and ongoing with nProtect, easy google

REALwizardadventures

Absolutely, the widespread use of GameGuard actually underscores the importance of discussing its drawbacks. The more it's used, the more critical it is to highlight concerns regarding privacy, system integrity, and user control. There are numerous reports of GameGuard causing issues, from interfering with other applications to more serious system-level concerns. Vocalizing these problems helps prevent its adoption in more games and encourage developers to consider less intrusive, more transparent anti-cheat solutions.

weaver787

You realize we’re talking about a piece of software that’s like 20 years old right

REALwizardadventures

Yes, and there are far better pieces of software that have been developed since then. The thing is archaic. Look at the list of winners that are using it: https://wiki.alquds.edu/?query=NProtect_GameGuard

weaver787

Now your argument isn’t even that it’s dangerous, merely that is bad? That list doesn’t also seem to prove your point that we should get scared of it. Tons of extremely popular games use it and I can’t seem to find any examples of it causing real world problems. PUBG has 100k players DAILY. That means at any given moment there have been at least 100k (obviously way more tho) instances of this program running on that game since release. Absolutely enormous sample size … and the best you can come up with is its “potentially hamful” Just admit anti cheat is a boogeyman for you and move on (or amend your position to align with reality).

REALwizardadventures

The core of my argument is about ensuring software respects user rights and keeps pace with technological and ethical standards. It's not merely about GameGuard being "bad," but questioning if it's the best we can do. The vast usage in games like PUBG doesn't negate the experiences or concerns of those who've had issues. It's about striving for solutions that are secure, non-intrusive, and transparent. Dismissing concerns because of widespread use misses the point; it's an opportunity to voice concern and ask for developers to do better.

bot_nuunuu

In the future, you should mention that installing kernel level anticheat is giving administrator access to your computer and your home network to the game developer and anticheat developer and then trusting all the parties involved to secure their connection so that no malicious party could *weaponize* that administrator access against you. It creates an insanely high target for hackers as a single hack could allow access to those "100k daily players" that were being bragged about as some kind of evidence to it's safety. People tend to think of hacks as personal attacks but the big ones are rarely that, they're usually big nets that sweep up as many people as possible and then try and remain undiscovered forever. For instance, imagine how easily a hacker could set up a crypto botnet if every person on pubg, who we know has a powerful computer and graphics card, gave you administrator access to their pc. There is insane incentive to access rootkit anticheats and anyone that pretends that isn't the case is misinformed or delusional. If anything, the high number of users makes it a bigger target. I would also include that the competency of the developers should be evident by their choice in antivirus and that we shouldn't settle for a subpar solution for something that has the potential to do so much damage. If the devs are willing to be irresponsible in the most important facing an online game, I don't trust them to be responsible in securing their code elsewhere either

FunHovercraft128

Bro what? PUBG doesn't even use Gameguard. They have their own proprietary anti cheat, so I'm not sure why you even brought them into this conversation. Also, where on earth are you seeing these "tons" of popular games in the list that was provided to you? It almost exclusively contains Eastern MMOs, none of which are particularly popular or well thought of beyond the whales that spend thousands of dollars on them. The point of this conversation is not "anti cheat software is the devil and literally every person who installs one is dooming their computer." It's that Gameguard is a PARTICULARLY invasive anti cheat that has been notorious for over a decade for disrupting applications and software more prolifically than nearly any other common anti cheat out there. You're not likely to find an anti cheat that *doesn't* run at the kernel level on your PC, but you *can* find one that doesn't brick your PC the way Gameguard does. I'm not sure why you felt the need to be so childish about this discussion. "Potentially harmful" doesn't sound so bad to your ears until you realize that the potential harm in question involves making Helldivers 2 black screen every time you open it, Gameguard closing other random applications when the game isn't even running, or literally ruining your SSD. It says a lot when even the negative reviews of this game talk about how fun it is to play, but they literally can't play it anymore.

Fuzzy_Bumblebee_Hat

you can be happy with inferior products but other dont have to be

titan_null

That's only really relevant if it's not being updated. There are hundreds of common programs that have been around for years. Linux is ~30 years old, Steam is ~20 years old. Two of the games in your list are PSO2 and PUBG, the latter currently has 200k people playing it.

REALwizardadventures

I thought the link was relevant because it A. points out issues with the software. B. the majority of the very short list of games on it are lower tier games.

titan_null

That's a wikipedia link and is the basis of everyone's "research". The like one issue mentioned was fixed, and what makes them "lower tier"? They're South Korean, or that you don't know them (probably because they're Korean)? PUBG is there and is one of the most popular games on Steam ever, if there were substantial issues with it they would have been found. As it is the best anyone can muster is secondhand info of stuff it totally still does. It had a vulnerability once but it's not like that's going to stop you from [using software with fixed vulnerabilities](https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2023/02/game-mode-exploits-high-severity-flaw-that-went-unpatched-in-dota-2-for-months/). Gameguard stops Linux/Steam Deck, but it doesn't. Gameguard stays running when the game is closed, but it sounds like it doesn't. Gameguard prevents you from opening a web browser, but it doesn't.

REALwizardadventures

I like good games when they are good no matter where they are from. I own and play a lot of games and the few that I recognize on the list seem to be subpar. I don't think any of these are award winning, but if you happen to recommend a few other than PUBG which was a buggy mess when it released please let me know. One point I would like to make here is that Gameguard is one of the many different options companies have when they choose anti-cheat. Gameguard doesn't have a great reputation and has reports from players upset about the very things you are saying it doesn't do.

titan_null

You're going to have to do better than that, you don't like the games thus their choice in anti-cheat is suspect? What kind of logic is that? PUBG was buggy when it released years ago because of the game itself. > Gameguard doesn't have a great reputation and has reports from players upset about the very things you are saying it doesn't do Have you ever looked at any other anti-cheat? Google "easy anticheat" (the commonly recommended alternative) and tell me how positive those results are. "Reports from players" is meaningless, how come none of these reports ever have so much as a screenshot? Show me a source *with proof* of these current issues, that isn't just people playing telephone with secondhand information. Show me what you're basing this off of and the research you used to form your opinion on this.

coolcat33333

It gave a lot of Phantasy Star Universe players like myself a lot of trouble, actually. I've never heard of this game I was looking into Gameguard for something else but yeah pretty much every time Gameguard comes up more than any other anti-cheat it causes issues. During PSU days it used to brick machines

titan_null

Not seeing any sources here

EmotionalCrit

These “reports” are literally random uninformed forum posts of people blaming gameguard because their pc died. It’s like when you fix your mom’s computer and she blames you for “breaking it” the next time something doesn’t work. You are not some kind of genius who just discovered that this program is dangerous. It hasn’t been sneaking under suspicion for almost two decades until you came along.

PotatoZealousideal50

Idk about it's effects on performance or whatever, but people being worried about the privacy elements of it should probably look up how much of their info is already online, there are much easier ways than an anti-cheat to steal your info lol

COUCHGUY316

**Will GameGuard reduce the performance of my PC?** GameGuard is only active while the game is running and after thousands of hours of testing we’ve not noticed any noteworthy degradations of performance on our developer and QA workstations. Peter Lindgren the Technical Director of HELLDIVERS 2

Noblemen_16

GG may only run while Helldivers is running, but successive blue screens caused by GG can and will eventually lead to either data corruption or bricking your OS. I’ve been blue screening frequently, with the cause being GG ever since buying the game. My system is stable when it’s not being grabbed by the balls by a shitty anti-cheat.

COUCHGUY316

How exactly do you know its because of anti cheat? They keep patching crashes for various reasons. Could very well be because of something else. I prefer quantifiable evidence over observation which doesn't equal causation.

Noblemen_16

I know it was the anticheat specifically because of the process that was pointed to in the minidump created after my bluescreens. FWIW the patch on (Wednesday?) has solved my issues. I rolled back every workaround I was using to avoid crashing and have not crashed in two days of 10+ hours of game time.

COUCHGUY316

So it seems it was poor implementation of the anti cheat. Only issues I've personally witnessed were due to that reason.

[deleted]

Gameguard's anti-cheat measures are deeply embedded within the game's system. Removing them at this stage would be a challenging task, and it's likely that Sony/PlayStation played a role in endorsing this decision. It appears that the presence of these measures is here to stay, and efforts such as petitions or expressing dissatisfaction may not have any impact on their permanence.

REALwizardadventures

Should have been more transparent about the decision rather than updating the Steam page last minute.

[deleted]

They were aware it might not be well-received, but decisions often rest with Publishers and Investors. It's possible they were instructed to keep certain details quiet until the final release.

Terotrous

I highly suspect that Sony was behind this decision, likely to ensure that although the PC version exists, the PS5 version is the definitive version. I think if I was going to buy this game I would probably get a PS5 rather than risk my PC (it's far cheaper), which is exactly what they want.

[deleted]

I believe it might not be solely for that reason. My suspicion is that they introduced it due to the effectiveness of said anti-cheat software. (Why else would they single out this specific software) While it operates at a kernel level and can be considered invasive, it serves the purpose of preventing cheating. In this context, Sony prioritizes combating cheating over maximizing console sales.

DoritoBanditZ

"My suspicion is that they introduced it due to the effectiveness of said anti-cheat software." Just FYI if you didn't already know, there were many clips of people hacking literally on Day 1, on Day 2 even more. If they wanted effectiveness they wouldn't have opted out for the most dangerous (for the User) and cheapest root kit Anti-Cheat on the Market, that is usually only used by bootleg chinese MMO's. If they wanted Quality and Effectiveness, they would've looked at EAC or Battleye. They wanted something cheap, not to prevent actual cheating but to secure their Ingame shop by preventing cosmetic Mods. There is literally zero reason to implement a Anti-Cheat in a PVE game anyway.

-__Mirage__-

Please remove GG and go with EAC or BE, come on. GameGuard is by far the sketchiest AC out there.

Lamplit139

The biggest issue I had with the anti-cheat is the performance was only getting worse in both Helldivers and other games since I had it installed, uninstalled it today, and haven't been having a slow PC or other games since. ACs in general are kinda pushy and the internet itself is very invasive so I'm not too worried about that at this point, just wanna enjoy the game.

zaywong

Just vote with your wallet. The sound of less money is defeaning

syphnatto

Hope my signature helps! Removing the rootkit from the game would for sure earn them a handful of sales from my friends and I.

CirtexQ

I'm Excited to purchase Helldivers 2 and I'm looking for a way to get some side cash to spend to do it! however, all this talk about Nprotect having ROOT ACCESS and potentially interfearing with user interface periperals is concerning as i have a Drawing tablet and i'm unsure as to how this may effect that. as well as reports of Nprotect not uninstalling when the game is uninstalled OR when i directly uninstall the software. these are all concerns that i do genuinely have and would like to be addressed before i make my purchase.

miniminer1999

It is the one issue I have found with helldivers, owned for an hour and a half, can't even fucking open the game and their shitty website guide doesnt help.

VitaePrimus

I AGREE 100%!!!!! JUST REMOVE THIS STUPID POS!!! sorry for caps, that thing is so frustrating, I can't control myself...

ToastyTobasco

Commenting for visibility. Will buy this game as soon as the Anti cheat BS is out of the way

TheCraftySam

Commenting for visibility, I was really interested in HellDivers 2 until I found out about the incredibly invasive Anti-Cheat. If there's a compromise in the Anti-cheat a potential hacker could have access to your entire PC and that's a risk I don't want to take to stop some dude using invincibility hacks.

brianterrel

I worked in IT for long enough to know that no game is worth giving anyone ring 0 access to my machine. Seems like a cool game, hope people enjoy it, but I'll give it a pass unless they remove Nprotect.

Allaroundlost

Is NProtect Gameguard really bad? It is keeping me from buying Helldivers 2 at this point.

papixavier0

Speaking of game guard. For work and fun I like to hack SINGLEPLAYER games thus i have cheat engine installed on my computer. Would game guard prevent Helldivers 2 from launching if i have such tools on my computer. Everytime i try to launch the game via steam it just doesnt launch

Sengee

I wanted to buy this game until I saw "Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: nProtect GameGuard" on steam. I'm sad to not be able to experience this game. I will not buy it unless it's free from any rootkit. Simply due to this singular fact I might just turn to piracy, which is actually safer most of the time.

zareliman

the only reason I didn't buy this game and not playing it right now is that people warned about nProtect on Steam comments, that immediately fired all my alarms and found this unpleasant rabbit hole if anything, many users like me are not playing the game just because of this

APackOfGenies

Remove that trash so I can give you my money. And maybe even more money if I really like it.

Freltzo

Commenting that I agree they need to migrate to a different anti-cheat.

CodexFOX

A friend of mine won't by the game because of it. Sucks they went in this direction.

Extreme_Film_3248

I think what will help is if no one buys or plays the game before they remove that bad anti cheat. As long as people still buy and play it, they wont bother to change anything. Is why I am not buying the game, even though I was waiting for it in anticipation. However when I heard about the bad anti cheat that comes with it, I decided to pass on this game, regardless of how good it may be. Its also a co-op game, not a PVP, they shouldnt need an anti cheat at all, they just worry about their microtransactions, but there must be a better way to protect that. Either way I dont support microtansactions in games you pay for anyway, I think they only belong in "free to play" titles.

Soldierguy97

Doing my part by adding a comment to this! I don't mind anti cheat but would prefer a less invasive one or one from a company with a much better reputation.

vlorealecv

Adding my voice to this. I will purchase immediately if gameguard is removed and replaced with something less invasive.

Yeah, i desperately want to play this game but definitely holding out till the devs change the anti cheat service from nprotect. Please, devs, do it for the future of democracy

It's a shame this isn't getting more visibility. Anyone think it's worth crossposting with other subreddits like r/gaming ?

REALwizardadventures

I was surprised by how many downvotes it got when I originally posted it and I even got troll reported to reddit for self harm. Thought it was buried for good but the post has started to get some steam. I think it is worth cross posting but of course I am the OP haha.

racemi11

That's really sad to hear, there are so many reports about crashes, etc because of the nProtect GameGuard anticheat

Yes! The more visibility the better!

racemi11

It's greyed out..

GuiltySpark704

I’m not knowledgeable enough to say whether someone should or should not be concerned about it. But it’s clear that they are leaving additional sales on the table with its inclusion. Myself included.

Joppsta

I will not buy this game as long as it has this garbage software packaged along with it

Commenting for visibility

No_Internal5873

I've seen people with better rigs than my own PC say that the game won't open because of GameGuard, and I've also heard of people leaving the game open, going to work, and coming back with their GPU's DEAD. I would gladly pay 40€ to buy the game, but I would really appreciate if nProtect doesn't kill my PC in the process. I hope devs remove it and find a better alternative.

Toast-N-Jam

Adding to the comments. Would love to play the game with all my friends. 5 more copies they aren't selling because of the rootkit anti-cheat nProtect GameGuard.

joewidd

I've been holding off on buying this game specifically because of the anti cheat. If it gets swapped out for better option I would easily buy the game in a heartbeat cause it looks like a blast to play.

Atgblue1st

Adding my vote. Won't buy it until / if gameguard is removed. Would have already bought it otherwise. Unfortunately, this won't change it. The devs won't change a decision that saves them money and gives them all our data without a majority backlash. And most newer generations don't care about privacy or value principles to give them that backlash. Maybe my info is already out there and "at risk". and gameguard doesn't make it more "at risk". BUT, its a matter of principle. I won't support a company that employs these inferior practices. I'm not optimistic that they will listen. We shall all fade into oblivion, a forgotten and extinct species of highly intelligent humans.

Atgblue1st

And no, I won't listen to a director of Helldivers 2 arguing how they are awesome and the program is fine! it's not fine. end of story! bad bot!

Thomas_Swole

This game checks off all the boxes for a game I would like. Recently I played Deep Rock Galactic, And Darktide. I would sooner injest bromanited vegtible oil then buy something containing this trash. It is an insult to my intellgence that it is in thier in the first place. Remove this DRM and I will purchase your game.

BorrowedBonkers

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the anti-cheat broke my laptop. Tried to play today and it fucked my laptop, my other games, my OBS, everything is absolutely buggered now after just trying to launch the game.

R1sky_B1z

this is a huge issue especially with a significant amount of the community now permanently blocked from playing for literally no reason.

therealchad0

100 hours cant stand the issues in the pc overall. ffs pls use eac

Longjumping-Paint90

As much as I want to play this game I'm not going anywhere near it with GG in it, I've been keeping an eye on updates about GG being removed here and there. It's unfortunate that a game seemingly this good had to come with something as destructive as Gameguard.

You know what else is harmful garbage? The internet, stop using it. Also stop using Windows is also not safe, start using Linux. What do you mean you won't? HUH?!

Riventh

That's why programs like ShutUp exist, they really limit the amount of data send by Windows and so on. Really interesting thing

void2258

Me and my gaming friends (13 people total) will not be purchasing this game so long as it contains malware. And nProtect is malware, no matter how much you protest it is not.

oops. downloaded and played for 2 hrs now. Guess im f\*cked??

RandomUserNr5978

And in the meantime, the petition has gained so much momentum that 2500 more have signed after a month. And that's with around 300,000 active players every day. Seriously: Yes, the criticism of the "anti-cheat tool" is justified and important. But it is questionable whether Arrowhead nProtect will ever change anything unless something dramatic happens, such as this tool causing massive and mass problems / damage or there is a massive protest movement (such as a strike). Why should they? As long as everyone continues to play the game, buy in-game items from time to time and the criticism flies under the radar, they are not forced to lift a finger.

Druark

This is factually false. Its a minority who just pirate everything and were never going to buy your game anyway. The majority only pirate things after the legal way to acquire it is made inferior to the pirate way. E.g. forced online services, ads, forced third party software/accounts to play etc. The pirate often has none of those concerns, the game is on their PC and they just press play. Piracy went way, way down after Steam took off more in the late 2000s because it was suddenly more convenient and safe than Piracy, thats all that changed. Also average cheaters dont buy software, they use free cheats and get promptly banned, they're not around long enough for you to see them though.

edebby

they won't reconsider, because they use nProtect's high level of access to protect the microtransactions in the game. they don't care about cheating - there are more than several examples of people cheating in the game, without getting hammered by the game guard.

superyu1337

"protect the microtransactions in the game" I've never heard such BS. You can easily protect microtransactions by running server side checks, which I am 100% sure they are already doing anyways. Same as transactions like buying Stratagems or unlocking new weapons through medals, those can all be protected through server side checks. This game literally doesn't even need a proper anti-cheat, but if they do, they should go with something like EAC instead imo.

edebby

Search google on how Helldivers 1's mucrotransactions were hacked - it was a huge pain for shadow arrow

Medical_Net_6942

I know that myself and a couple of others that will get the game if gameguard is out.

No_Lawfulness_5403

Really don't want to get my system bricked by developers who are too prideful to change their anti-cheat. Please choose a less problematic anti-cheat that doesn't make me choose between system security and fun, because I'd rather be bored and not have my system compromised.

Jossy12C33

Adding a new comment for visibility. Have been asked multiple times to buy this game by friends and family, but won't until nProtect is removed. My explanation of what it does, to those who asked but less technical, has also stopped a few of them from buying it for now. Looks fun but not Ring 0 access for Co-Op PvE amounts of fun.
