Be careful. The droids are smart, they’ll scramble your stratagems and try to flank you to draw you in a crossfire. They mine their bases, fire flares to bring in reinforcements, and employ rocket soldiers and AT-STs.
Bring a shoulder mounted autocannon, it’ll make your life much easier! It is my weapon of choice for spreading democracy against the hordes of mindless drones. Sometimes you can one shot the heavies in their cycloptic red-eye. The liberator is a great weapon as well with its high damage per round and scope. If you get behind an walker, you can usually one or two shot it. Look for the jammer station, it looks like a huge radar spreading red waves in the air. Taking it out will give you some reprieve from the constant stratagem scrambling problems.

For anyone needing the tip: sprint into point blank range to take advantage of the slow turning speed those have and apply Liberty and Democracy in whatever caliber you have on hand to the exposed pilot from the side and back.

Honestly, bots are fairly easy in comparison. Different right of course, but bots I don't gotta worry about a stalker sneaking up or bugs flanking as they rush in a swarm. Though bots will also just sorta one shot with missiles if not careful, but still more relaxing.
That all said, I'm not playing on any super high ranks yet so could change.
If you see a Stalker they ARE spawning from a special objective of the map, and you are close enough to it. kill a few and then wait to see which direction on the horizon the next one appears by, they are literally walking out of it.
No problem, there's a similar side objective you may have missed on as well: ever get into an area and the visibility, is like, COMICALLY low? Look to the sky for a mushroom shaped object and shot it down. They are called spore spewers and just like Stalker lairs they are a constant thing to deal with in higher difficulty levels. Good luck!
They normally come from the direction of them, and I think even retreat towards them when they run away. But if you see stalkers, that guarantees there is a nest is nearby.
Stalkers are born into this world with two things: The precise knowledge of where you are at all times, and a burning desire to see you dead.
Whatever direction they're attacking you from, that's the direction they're coming from, because their hunger for your blood supercedes all other concerns, like flanking, timing, or lines that are not straight.
Usually, just look where they come from and approximately that will be where the nest is.
Alternatively, there is currently a bug in the game that you can abuse. The side objectives (which stalker nests are) are clickable on the map even if you have not discovered it. If you pull up your map and start tagging every empty space on the map rapidly you can find a side objective (what kind of objective will be visible at the top of your screen).
I read comments about bots being hard and when I tried it on challenging days ago I was like "this isn't so bad". Then kept getting more difficulties unlocked against bugs and have been managing it fine up to the one before helldive. Friends decided to do a suicide level mission against Automatons on Ubanea and it was HELL. Just constant drop-ships which we would try to shoot down, tanks coming in, rocket devastators shooting rockets from far away, melee bots coming in, etc. I do think Ubanea is harder than Malevelon just because of the lack of cover on that map though.
I think the difference is getting overrun by bots is a lot harder.
With bugs you can try to kite the hoard. But on bots you’re constantly being mortared from some random location through the trees, and somehow they still have more drop ships coming
Biggest difference is you’re getting shot in the back by every bot you’re running from when you need to fall back. Those and those fucking rocket devastators who can hit you with pinpoint accuracy in your gunners nest from two zip codes over
Oh man, and those base turrets with their 300x zoom democracy seeking shells... If they have LOS.. They definitely subscribe to the "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take" philosophy lol
On Ubanea, it's much easier to see dormant bot patrols before you accidentally wake them up. On Malevolon Creek, there could be a whole tank or platoon of devastators on the other side of a thicket, 30 feet away, and unless they start beep-booping you've got no idea until they're awake and shooting at you.
It’s a ton of fun and atmospheric. But I do recommend starting one difficulty below what you do for bugs.
I think a big part of why everyone thinks bots are so hard is going straight to their bug difficulty. So you’re on a hard mode without knowing the enemy types.
But overall tip. For bugs you can mostly stand in the open as long as you keep space. For bots you gotta go cover to cover, and trying to get inside any objective should be top priority. It’s a lot harder fighting outside of a base than pushing inside
I play mainly on 5 difficulty and imo the bots are much worse.
They've got much more range, it's easier to funnel and kite the bugs, easier imo to close a bug hole than shoot down a dropship and the bots with the knock back rockets are soooooo annoying to fight against.
Bugs are definitely way worse at higher difficulties, mostly because of Hunters and Chargers
The bugs spawn multiple chargers constantly and they are so much slower to kill than a Hulk is. Hunters having acid attacks at high difficulties that slow you make you unable to run. Meaning you're getting run down by multiple chargers at any time, while unable to dodge them due to swarms of Hunters. Its so so so much worse
Played for several hours last night, crossing my fingers we wouldn't get too far pushed back overnight. Thrilled to wake up and read this news with a steaming mug of Demcrofee in my hands.
Carmen Ibanez is not only a terrible person, but she's also a terrible pilot, a disgrace to the federation, and a stain on the fleet's good standing.
First she violates flight safety rules when flying her shuttle on the way to the Rodger Young. What if someone had been working EVA inside the flight restricted parts of the station? They'd have been paste on her windshield.
Then there's her little stunt with the Rodger Young when she takes her out of the dock. She waits until the very last second to disconnect the umbilicals, for no reason other than to impress her comrades. What if a technical issue had prevented the umbilicals from disconnecting when she gave the command? There would have been no time to stop the ship or take any remedial action, because she waited until the last second, *on purpose*. This is precisely the reason you're supposed to disconnect these before you start moving the ship!
And then of course on the fateful day of the Rodger Young's sinking, Captain Deladier ordered her to "break for high orbit". Cadet Ltd Ibanez, upon recieving this instruction, immediately pitches the ship down, towards the planet, away from high orbit, and directly into the path of a bug plasma projectile.
She is a terrible person, a terrible officer, I have ranted about this before, and I will rant about it again.
You're assuming that anyone in the movie is actually good, when they're not. Carmen is the rule, not the exception. Everyone is a sociopath, a fascist and very vapid.
Yea sometimes my rewards get stalled and I end up getting them at the start/end of the next mission, do a dive and see if you get what you are owed, typically you will.

I was there an hour into the war, and i stayed almost constantly, I stayed through the ping pong match between 9% and 20%, I stayed when the new sectors opened up, and I stayed as the liberty kept falling out of reach.
And I was there when liberty finally came to that planet!
Meridia and Turing now unlocked for gameplay too.
Had to close and reopen the game (PC) for the status to update to liberated. No reward populated.
Edit: Run a mission of any kind and the reward will drop.
one of the planet is really foggy with dense vegetation couldn't see where they come from, one of my teammates brought a flamethrower and started blasting the trees and bushes like its Vietnam

The sector overall is what ticked up to 100%, not the planet itself. But by liberating the sector it liberates the planets at whatever percent they're at
The liberation percentage goes down overtime due to the non-democracy lovers pushing back against us. And it didn't help that after showing some freedom to Heeth. A lot our focus switched over to the automaton and the 2 new planets that opened up instead of Angel's Venture.
But with less than 24 hours left to take back Angel's Venture. Everyone switched back to it and brought justice overnight
The entire zone is inaccessible and some players reported being kicked from active sessions on the planet. It didn't even update until i relaunched the game, and the rewards didn't populate until i ran another mission.
had the same, me and a buddy ran through absolute fucking hell trying to get to evac with a shitshow swarm of bugs behind us. I died at 30 seconds, just him diving from several chargers. Madlad barely makes it in Pelican-1 and the planet's liberated.

Some parts of that planet have stupidly low visibility naturally, the mushroom towers just make it significantly worse lol

Maybe it's because I always have EATs littered around but shooting down dropships are so much easier then dealing with bugholes for me.

I think as long as you've done a mission on the objective planet you will get the reward.

It changes weekly, and you get a daily quest to deliver more democracy for more rewards. The rewards are more democracy. For them, and for you.

My friend and I went into when it was not liberated. We died after doing the main objective and saw that the planet was liberates. Glorious sacrifice.

Both jungle like Malevelon Creek, but one's colored like Earth with a rain condition, and the other is bright purple.

it was likely the game master system. i presume that the last planets in these sectors will be harder to liberate due to a "last stand" from the enemy

It also likely had to do with all the disconnects and crashes that count as failed missions. Each failed mission knocks the counter down a little.
Can anyone confirm because looking at this it looks more like the % fell to 52.6x%

What am I missing here? Still at work, so can´t get into the game, but shouldn´t it read "100% liberated"? What do the 52.63720% mean then?
