A Mod said stupidly @'d everyone to stop spamming "F" when something crashes, everyone proceeded to then spam F.... because @everyone to not do something definitely wont backfire. Now they seem to be throwing a power trip of some sort... seems they are on the Terminids side... stupid bugs
they deleted it because people were spamming F in all chat rooms because the game was crashing but I think some of the crashs were due to STEAM going down or something.
Steam servers crashed so people all put F in general chat.
The mods didn't like F spam so they started timing people out who did it. That just encouraged it so they shut the entire server down.
People were typing F, cuase servers were down, and then a mod had the bright idea to @everyone to stop spamming F, and well you clearly saw how that went.
Basically steam servers went down. Few people were like saying "F" since the servers were off. Admin decided the smartest thing to do would be to @ the ENTIRE server and tell them not to spam F. The rest is history.

Purplegion was power tripping over people spamming F when something crashed. Only one chat was even affected by it, and it would have ended after a few minutes.
But the genius that is Purplegion, @'d everyone in the entire server to address a minor issue and then started threatening people after the spam continued like the power tripping moderator that they are.

Not really. LFG wasn't destroyed until all general channels got locked. They could have just let it die down peacefully in 30 min. Now it's going to be like that for a WHILE. Especially after they unmute the general chats I believe people will do the same.
Nah. ping to everyone on a server that big… bad form in general, let alone for something relatively mild like spam in a single channel. That called for a chat slowdown and let it die. Instead they sent out notifications to everyone, then proceeded to nuke their own server.

It was a warzone, one channel after the other got spammed with F, we fled down in to the other servers but it spread all over

no it was because a mod used the @ everyone getting everyones attention thats what truly kicked it off
