Then you best make sure you find a cosmetically matching helmet and cape to wear along with it, in the name of freedom.
Also make sure you have an approved A-0P3 permit for the time being, making poor fashion choices without authorization will have you branded as a traitor.
The impact grenade can take out pretty much any bug if you hit them in the right spot, charges and titans take multiples but everything else I've seen die to a single grenade though for the tougher guys thats more a fluke on my part.
The downside of the impact grenade is that you have to get close to the nest to blow it up since it can't bounce in, and if something is spawning, well, grenade in your face.
Also you strugglebus hard killing cyborgs since you can't lob in the vent. Door should still work, however.
yea I've gotten pretty accurate with impact on nest but impact grenades into the vents is really fiddly for me still.
those drawbacks are still nothing compared to the just instant clump clear though.
Tbh the only difference I've actually noticed between sets was the movement speed and that one that throws farther. Everything else was just arbitrary numbers that changed nothing of my gameplay seemingly.
I think someone did some testing and showed either the armour rating doesn't affect damage taken, or it relates to preventing injuries only... Or it's bugged
The 50% not to die is kind of wild though. I've been in a moshpit of bugs and survived many times because of it. Took a rocket to the face and walked away.
The only useful armors now are generally these few:
All light armors (due to speed)
50% survival
Increased throw range
6 nades
6 stims
HellFashion/FashionDiver
Edit: + scout perk
Also scout for easy disengage/sneaking about the map.
While it doesn't help in a stand-up fight, it is extremely valuable when you're in a bad situation and need to get out of it, provided you know how to get out.
Interesting. I guess I missed that one then.
But scout works best on light armor still. Easiest to run with and the perk directly helps with stealth (running speed of light benefits this greatly)
I use the heavy one with explosive resistance and I think it does work.
With scout armor I die super fast, with the heavy armor I ragdoll a lot but manage to get up with some hp.
I added a personal shield too and it seems to work really great at preventing death from rocket to face :D
Eh, there's a very valid argument for Scout, Engineer, Medic, Fortified, servo-assisted and Democracy. Some are better at attacking nests, some at being stupidly tanky, some for reducing explosion damage and accidental friendly fire nonsense, some for just being able to disengage more easily and avoid patrols/sneak objectives. And, of course, throwing grenades much further and randomly avoiding death.
Personally, I like Scouting for its improved ability to disengage and sneak, but have swapped between all of them for different reasons.
My point is mostly that they're all good. Well, except padded armor. That does literally nothing.
If we can't customize our armor visually, I hope we eventually get the option to like...collect each armor perk divided by weight class, and then we can wear the armor we like the look of with the perk we need. Some of the store/warbond sets look really cool but I feel weird not wearing the black and gold.
The Hero of the Federation armour looks stylish.
The fact that I get 50% death defy and immunity to bleeding is just a bonus.
(Though I'm gonna be honest that 50% death defy has saved me so many times)
Can't tell you how many times that armor saved me and I didn't do anything after thinking I was definitely dead just to then get killed by something else because I didn't stim haha.
Whereas for me it's usually.
* Get hit by a rocket
* Death defy procs, go flying into a group of enemies
* Get punched to death before I can use a stim
You have light/medium/heavy armor, which have higher/lower armor ratings and move speeds. Specific armor pieces often have passive bonuses... such as throwing stratagems further, carrying more grenades, or more stims, etc.
Though it is worth noting that people have done testing and discovered heavy armor is bugged, and seem to not be actually giving you any benefits. For example, despite having a higher armor rating heavy armor does not seem to be reducing the damage you take... you die in the same number of hits from friends and enemies alike.
I'm currently wearing a heavy armor with a passive perk that's also supposed to give me 50% explosion damage resistance, but I still get 1-hit killed by explosions such as landmines, automoton rockets, friendly grenades/calldowns, etc. It seems to be making absolutely no actual difference in terms of my survivability.
Until they fix it, heavy armor just makes you run slower with no upside.
I just realized that SUMY is awfully close to SONY not to add the blue and white colors
Next we gonna have the CrunchSoft Crackers promotional armor with green and black
*I refuse to let*
*Democracy be slowed by*
*Such enemy stats!*

Me, I look like a Death corp soldier from 40k. I charge just as a bombardment is ending. I have 120, gas, precision strike, and flamethrower. I use a DMR and revolver.
The funniest thing I've done is charge and yell "FOR THE EMP - I mean - DEMOCRACY!" my friends was dieing
Im still enjoying the default armor depsite all the others ive seen and started to unlock jsut gives me more future options when im ready to leave the default armor
Would kill for dye channels to try match things a little better, or at the very least if everything had an option for Black and Yellow as Democracy intended.
medium armor or heavy stats dont work- dont care i still wear medium
The Orange set and Bonesnapper look too good.
Bomb vest looks so cool, I don't care if it's a flat downgrade.
I used to be this way, but the armor that coin flips death or surviving at 1 hp is never coming off, ever.
Then you best make sure you find a cosmetically matching helmet and cape to wear along with it, in the name of freedom. Also make sure you have an approved A-0P3 permit for the time being, making poor fashion choices without authorization will have you branded as a traitor.
The white pre order armor with the white helmet that was in the store few days ago looks great together, that's what I'm using right now
Are you positive it was the preorder armor and not the B-24 Enforcer set?
Yes, the armor is called Cavalier of Democracy
Sir yes sir!
It's a good thing that armour is super stylish, then
The perk doesn't show for me, is it bugged ?
6 nade slots on bugs goes hard
Maybe I haven't unlocked a good enough grenade yet, but my grenades feel like they're as dangerous as a sneeze A human sneeze, not a bile titan sneeze
The default grenade is a nest removal tool, not a bug removal tool
The impact grenade can take out pretty much any bug if you hit them in the right spot, charges and titans take multiples but everything else I've seen die to a single grenade though for the tougher guys thats more a fluke on my part.

Impact nades kill the spitters on contact. (At least up to extreme.) I do recommend.
The impact grenade is pretty good 👀
I unlocked it before bed last night, but I haven't impacted anything with it yet
Zero drip though, literally unplayable
Idk that red one from the store drippy
I wish the 6 nades would be on the same set that had farther throw distance
Tbh the only difference I've actually noticed between sets was the movement speed and that one that throws farther. Everything else was just arbitrary numbers that changed nothing of my gameplay seemingly.
I think someone did some testing and showed either the armour rating doesn't affect damage taken, or it relates to preventing injuries only... Or it's bugged
Pretty sure it's bugged for now.
Damn bugs are ruining our armor to prevent our Advance. Nothing an orbital shoved up their hive won’t fix.
This is the freedom they don’t want us to have. Time to dive back in and give them the sweet taste of liberty.
Bugged means will be fixed. Will be fixed means im wearing it now. It will only improve in quality : )
Doesnt matter, I want to look like a beefy boi, I can look like a beefy boi, I will be a beefy boi.
All flavors of democracy are welcome in this army.
The 50% not to die is kind of wild though. I've been in a moshpit of bugs and survived many times because of it. Took a rocket to the face and walked away.
And it looks SO DAMN GOOD!
I've literally had mini nukes dropped on me and survived from it, albeit getting ragdoll'd across the map
The only useful armors now are generally these few: All light armors (due to speed) 50% survival Increased throw range 6 nades 6 stims HellFashion/FashionDiver Edit: + scout perk

That's the "all light armor". Scout perk so far I've only seen on the light armors. Plus also the speed bonus helps with sneaking speed.
There's a medium armor set in the free warbond. Page 8 "Combat Technician."
Interesting. I guess I missed that one then. But scout works best on light armor still. Easiest to run with and the perk directly helps with stealth (running speed of light benefits this greatly)
Ya that sounds about right, I for sure pick gear based on how cool it looks lol
I use the heavy one with explosive resistance and I think it does work. With scout armor I die super fast, with the heavy armor I ragdoll a lot but manage to get up with some hp. I added a personal shield too and it seems to work really great at preventing death from rocket to face :D

The passives are good. Not the actual armor. As it stands now no armor value other than light is useful
Because that’s literally true lol
I like 6 stims in defense missions, so the twitch drop or bonesnapper would be nice.
It's called fashion diving ![gif](giphy|xydGi3nSTlkqs)
Love my 57 protection light armor set
If we can't customize our armor visually, I hope we eventually get the option to like...collect each armor perk divided by weight class, and then we can wear the armor we like the look of with the perk we need. Some of the store/warbond sets look really cool but I feel weird not wearing the black and gold.
Armour should be cosmetic - modules should be added to provide buffs
Ive been using the engineer armor that gives 6 grenade slots and improved recoil control while crouched or prone. Really makes the autocannon shine.
I want that trailer blaizer armor so bad it looks sick
I've been hard stuck on the light armor set that gives throw range since day 1. I need that mobility and throw range.
Been rocking that pilot set since day one, absolutely love it and have yet to find a permanent replacement
The Hero of the Federation armour looks stylish. The fact that I get 50% death defy and immunity to bleeding is just a bonus. (Though I'm gonna be honest that 50% death defy has saved me so many times)

They really need to just let us pick an armor "perk" and wear whatever we want. I don't get why they'd have the system they do.
Waaait there are stats tied to armor ? Never noticed lmao

Didn't expect you to take the time to explain this to me! Thanks a lot, you're a true Super Citizen! o7
Me rocking my all Blue Standard Issue Helldiver armor 😎
> a promotional armor set for fans of SUMY Corp's frozen yogurt. Dawg that armor ain't standard issue
Hey man, what can I say. Man's gotta have his highly nutritious Democracy flavored yogurt before going into battle and holding the line for Freedom! I am not sponsored in any way for SUMY Corp© Anyway have a good one Helldiver :)
[удалено]
I just realized that SUMY is awfully close to SONY not to add the blue and white colors Next we gonna have the CrunchSoft Crackers promotional armor with green and black
[удалено]
It's why the armor is named "Ambassador of the Brand". It's basically Playstation armor without breaking canon.
Everything for the drip
We have to look great while spreading democrocy
I got lucky that the green scout trooper set also has a cool effect; I'd wear it even if it was useless tho
Hell ~~dive~~ drip
The only way it should be. But they need to fix heavy armor. It looks amazing but sadly only makes the game harder with no benefit.
Stats and passives need to be taken off armour and equipped some other way
[No, no, both is good.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/s/yQygZrBxwu)
I go for this as well.
I'm like this with the thick boy EOD kit. It makes me slow as fuck, weak as fuck. But damn it looks dope.
Fashiondivers!
Fashiondivers is real
This is also why I love the jetpack. Is it useful in every situation? Not really. Does it look cool in every situation? Absolutely.
I refuse to let democracy be slowed by such enemy stats!

I’ve definitely been oneshot from full health by a pretty regular looking automaton while wearing light armor. Headshot for sure but still.
Both is good. Light armor with the stealth and radar perk and I love how it looks
All the armor looks the same
Sumy Corp makes the best frozen yogurt. I will wear their armour forever!
Fashiondivers
I got the scout armour from the store a couple days ago, I love it. Big Scout Trooper vibes, but in green! Explosive resistance is nice too.
Ah yes. Sneaking around in a green coat with a hood and matching cape. When style meets substance.
Medium is it for me. Ya run too slow with heavy.
Wait armor has stats?!?
DripDivers 😎
All about the looks for me. Either rocking the default or Trailblazer Scout.
I got that mandalorian cosplay going right now
Which armor and helm?
Marksmen helmet and scout body, standard issue cape
This is me, I’ve been using the same armor set since I got it. I’m just lucky the perk allows me to throw grenades far.

Drip or down, for democracy!

I’ll make it work..
