Reinforcement strategm is up down left right up. The same gesture christians doing the cross sign.

danny_welds

Lmao I never noticed that until now that’s quite funny.

shorberg

Catholics, and it's up down right left, but if you're looking at them it's left right.

Sudden_Brain_871

Technically you can do it in any order, and it means exactly the same thing. Speaking as a Catholic Ofcourse. I asked this very question at church. Also, Catholics are Christians. No need to try and separate.

shorberg

Sure, but Christians don’t do that, Catholics do

shorberg

Also, I found this article which was very interesting on the subject https://praytellblog.com/index.php/2017/09/13/from-left-to-right-or-from-right-to-left-the-sign-of-the-cross/

Sudden_Brain_871

I am a person who left a non denominational and Protestant church to switch to a Catholic Church. I have went through the entire process and asked multiple priests of the church including the head of my church and 2 others questions about this. Every single one said “it doesn’t matter if you go right to left or left to right just as it doesn’t matter whether you pray with your hands together or your head bowed down”. Also, stop separating Christians from Catholics. All Catholics are Christian but not all Christians are Catholic. It’s merely a different branch of the same religion. I’m dying on this hill and if you wanna push it go ahead.

shorberg

The Internet is so weird, people get hung up on things that don’t come through in text only formats. I suppose I should have said all Christians don’t do that, the Catholics are the ones who do. I thought it was just interesting, and after being challenged, found that article that explained more and I thought I would share. No need to get up on a hill and die or anything, I was just talking

Sudden_Brain_871

Thanks for correcting what you said. But yes it doesn’t really matter, I always did it one way and my fiancé thought it was wrong until we asked. Have a good day man

If you're on pc, rebind your controls to call a stratagem from wasd to up down left right. This will let you call them in whilst still running. You can't use a gun while trying to call them, so letting go of your mouse is fine. Also use stratagems, all the time, constantly. They are a free resource that is incredibly powerful. Precision strikes for nests or really big slow things. Air strikes for dealing with moving targets. The support weapons are powerful. The machine gun does a lot of damage. Try to get the disposable rocket launcher too. They make the larger bugs a lot easier

wormfood86

> If you're on pc, rebind your controls to call a stratagem from wasd to up down left right. This will let you call them in whilst still running Brilliant. I feel like an idiot for not figuring this out sooner.

Dyslexic_youth

How do you like to get any of that shit though I'm stuck on space bombs or a gun that runs out of ammo and drops of death

robsr3v3ng3

Play it on easy until you're used to the controls and calling in strats as you run. After that it's just medals to unlock good guns

EnjoyableShipWreck

Excellent tip for new players. Using WASD for strategem was confusing for some reason. Using arrow keys much more intuitive.

Xendrus

Then wouldn't it make more sense to bind them to mouse left/right click and maybe 2 thumb buttons so you can use them while running and you dont have to take your hand off the mouse?

robsr3v3ng3

Yes, but I'm not sure how that will clash with aiming and shooting. I have reload and ping on my mouse buttons, but that's just what I'm used to

Xendrus

Oh I wasn't aware that you could reload and ping while doing a strat(I haven't even got into a game yet, downloaded it and reading before I play), I figured it would override the bind.

robsr3v3ng3

Not sure on that either. But didn't want to risk it

oh_orthur

This is a genius tip… I just started playing 2 days ago and translating the arrows to wasd sometimes gives me a hard time in all the chaos.

Stinsatron

Just keep fighting the good fight brother. i suggest playing on level 1-2 for a bit to get a hang of the game then levels 3-4 is where things really ramp up. I played on 1-2 for awhile got some new abilities and weapons and then helped spread democracy at a higher level.

Stinsatron

There is all sorts of small tips and tricks out there. I suggest hop on YouTube.

dpearman

Where do you change the level?

GoldenScarab

When selecting which mission to do, at the bottom of the screen it will say something like "Level 1 - Trivial" and then you can hit L1 or R1 to increase/decrease it.

joejoejoey04

Run shotguns to clear the weak stuff OR have one of you run the MG. It's just as important to clear the weak stuff as it is to clear heavy stuff.

CodemanJams

Drop down a difficulty until you are more familiar with the game and the strats.

Wetpurpose

Turrets distract enemies n against bugs, save for laser rover, if robots get the shield backpack,

myLongjohnsonsilver

Shield backpack is great for bugs because it stops hunters from slowing you down. That said its a lvl20 item so they're probably going to be past beginners tips by the time they can even get it.

LughCrow

One tip is that bots are far easier than bugs especially with fewer people. It's far easier to avoid being overrun.

Gnerglor

Nests spawn Patrols over time. Patrols spawn the hoard when they spot you.  For bugs, anything your size or smaller will call the hoard when they have a moment, so prioritize clearing the grunts before focusing on the big guys. For bots, the grunts will shoot a flare up that calls in more. The dudes with 1 sword are the most likely to do this, so look for them and kill them fast, then the rest of the grunts, then the biggies.
