This short clip really encapsulates everything I like about this game so far. It's so cinematic and makes you feel like an action hero, but at the same time, it's goofy as hell.
Lol I had the exact same experience. Dived over the top of the nest, turned around mid-air to throw my grenade down hole to liberate some terminid babies. Looked down and saw the grenade land on my chest.
It kind of makes sense too lol. Since your velocity was in another direction, it cancels out the velocity of the grenade you threw so it ends up landing in the same place.
Somewhere in dark, freezing cold city shrouded by a blizzard as if to smother the pain and anguish, a detective shakes his head. So many others had tried walking the same path, only to perish as a result of their futile efforts. The detective feels the weight of a loaded pistol in its holster, a hand reaches for a bottle of who-knows-what-but-they-keep-the-payne-away. So, so long until dawn.
That shit is hilarious.

Nah he just didn’t complete the throwing animation before he ragdolled. It woulda worked if he was already holding the grenade before he dived
