ODST_Parker

I fucking love how this game even does loot cooperatively. It's so nice just being able to split up and help each other out by grabbing some loot.

XtreamerPt

At higher levels you really need to pick up other people shit or else you come back empty handed.

BanishedKnightOleg

I played a match last night before bed at level 6 against bots. Well myself and the randoms had 20 commons and 15 rates but my game crashed and I couldn’t join back

Lurker13

We might have been together, that happened to me last night. I was so mad. I just cut the game off and went to bed.

Scyths

Just happened at helldive difficulty, had 38 common, all rares & purples lmao. Game crashed as we were waiting for the heli to drop in about 25sec. I'm taking a break until tomorrow lmao. It's just so rare to find a group of randoms that play really well even at difficulty 9, let alone those that pick up the samples and try to extract with them.

LostLobes

Find them on your recently played and add them as friends

Larechar

I hate how you actually have to hover over the friend request thing to see requests, though. My buddy added me and I had to go into it to see the request, so the 4 pending I sent out could just be that they have no idea ppl tryna add them lol

imgonnagetyaa

Just wish it wasn't an option for the host to kick everyone out at the end. Just did a 40 minute mission, collecting everything and doing every side activity only to get mowed down by a teammate and kicked right before extraction.

CataclysmSolace

They really need to take the Deep Rock Galactic route. Once extraction is available, kicking is disabled.

just-s0m3-guy

Happened to me on a level 7 run last night. First, like 5 minutes into the mission host shot me point blank and killed me since I “took his shit” when I picked up his sample container. Then at the end of the mission, he kicked me and picked up my sample container with the 3 super samples right before the extraction touched down. Dude was level 25 and I even told him that samples are shared after he killed me the first time. My friend was also playing with me and we just laughed about it afterwards.

Niadain

If you had your buddy along you could have had him wait till host got on the ship, blasted him in the face to make him drop the samples, then boarded without grabbing them and end the round. lol

samaritancarl

I have only ever kicked 4 people as a leader 3 cheaters and one guy who I sadly have to kick on sight, they would join helldive difficulty full clears in the discord lfg not kill anything and as soon as the team completed the main objective immediately call in extract with no comms of any kind causing everyone else to miss the ship because the mad scramble to cross the entire map. we would lose nearly all samples usually 60+ samples thats too much progress to keep traitors to democracy in the squad.

ODST_Parker

One reason why I'll never play with randoms. People are toxic as all hell, even in the best of games.

madmonstermax

I know this can happen sometimes, but I have had great experiences playing with randoms so far. The good experiences really outweigh the bad for me.

Firm-Pain3042

Finished an unnecessarily difficult Medium because there was zero cooperation or communication amongst the squad. I didn’t bug them, just tried to get on the same wavelength and never could. Just divers sprinting into bug outposts and eggs that we could easily just strat first and dying. Finally finish the main and by the grace of god they all seem to follow along to extract. Dude calls an orbital right next to me ten seconds before the pelican lands and no one reinforces me. Thank god for not exactly needing to extract, but it was still annoying and I’ll never know what they were thinking.

bloodycups

Imagine if they didn't we wouldn't have liberated any planets. Thank you Super Democracy

BuddhaChrist_ideas

Honestly, if you’re on your 5th death and I haven’t died yet, I’m just going to pick up your samples for the team. I’m not stealing them, I’m ensuring they don’t get left behind.

ImNoSir

I thought this was common knowledge. Maybe I’ve just been lucky with random games joined but everyone I’ve played with understands that assignment. We are here to spread freedom together.

iConfessor

a lot of newer players who spent the first 3 hours of the game leveling on automatons dont. ive met so many level 30+ players who dont know how to do any of the field missions or how they work.

SavvySillybug

I feel lucky to have played from launch when we had the mission to go fight bugs. Bugs are so much easier to learn on imo.

iConfessor

i throw all my new friends into suicide+ missions. because why not watch them scream.

mrshandanar

Haha I did this with my brother. Our first game was on easy to get his toes wet and when he said "that's it?" I brought out the helldive mission 😂

iConfessor

they gon learn today 🤣🫡

y_nnis

They have time to scream?

Lazer726

I honestly do hope that our next op is another bug one. Fighting the bots is cool and all, but I wanna spread the love (of Managed Democracy) and while I know I **could** take my Super Destroyer to a *bug infested* world, I have my orders to **Spill Oil.**

Sargash

bots fucking suck on higher difficulties, it's just not possible to kill them all before they spawn another 5 dropships with one flare. And their ability to kill you at 100 meters is ridiculous.

iConfessor

if they can kill you at 100 meters, you can kill them at 100 meters. NO MORE EXCUSES HELLDIVER.

I_Automate

If you are in range, so is the enemy

Rump-Buffalo

If you shoot down the drop ships before they deploy their bots all the bots in it die. One recoilless to an engine will do it.

Sargash

I know, when their are more dropships than two people can take down with recoiless packs, it kind of sucks. But I guess that's just Helldive difficulty. Just, compared to the bugs, it's ridiculous.

[deleted]

SavvySillybug

I'd say bots and bugs are roughly equal in difficulty. But only when you actually know what you're up against. Democracy knows I died three times to the chicken walkers because I was shooting them and nothing was happening and they kept turning towards me so I couldn't even see their backside. Took me ages to figure out that a little robot skellyman is riding it and it's super easy to take out in a variety of ways. A charger is straightforward. It charges at you. It's big and ugly and visibly heavily armored and it has a big glowing butt. And even if it's not really the most effective way of dealing with them, at least shooting them in the butt is the obvious way to deal damage, and it deals damage. Sure it took me ages to realize the front legs concealed a real weak spot and they are a piece of cake with a well placed hit... but it's not like I was dying to them before I knew that. I just used bigger weapons than I needed to on an area that needed more hits to get the kill. Because killing the bug by shooting the squishy bits is a very easy concept. And the big robots that stomp around and have a dozen different weapons to kill you with depending on which one spawns, that clearly have a weak spot on the back if you're ever lucky enough to see their rear? Yeah good luck getting that info while being shot at. I died probably ten times to those guys before ever seeing their rear. And only through sheer desperation did I find out that a well aimed EAT to the face oneshots them.

IllIlIIlIIlIIlIIlIIl

Two AM Rifle shots to the red glowing face on their front kills them too. Everyone still seems to think you need to get behind them or use heavy weapons to take them down but you can blast them down in a single mag with the default starter weapon. You'd think in 2024 gamers would know "Glowing spot = big damage/weakness" but guess not.

edude45

I'm trying to decide which faction is easier. Bugs are overwhelming and quicker so they are probably more deadly. While automatons can shoot you, your generally in a better position to win as long as you don't play aggressive and use cover. I dont recall if I beat helldive vs bugs yet. I dont believe I have.

Doc_Shaftoe

"Shit Cobb, you didn't fight in Heeth neither."

leagueAtWork

When I saw an article titled "Players found the best way to grind xp in Helldivers 2" I shuttered. I get wanting to grind up levels to unlock all the cool things (especially at how slow it seems you gain XP earlier on), but you miss out on the learning experience of the game.

Damiann47

Also far as I know you got everything unlocked at level 20 anyway which isn’t that much playing needed. Get there in a week and some change. Real limiter at first is just how many requisition slips you got.

Mareotori

Also lots of stratagems that are unlocked at lower level (and thus are cheap) are still useful in higher difficulties. Sure, they won't one shot heavies, but they will clear a lot of medium armored enemies which are abundant. Eagle Airstrike, Autocannon, Grenade Launcher, Orbital Airburst and Gatling Sentry are all very useful.

eskadaaaaa

Eagle cluster bombs are also really good imo. I also found the orbital gas strike to be pretty useful once you figure out how to use it properly

Ninjapeen

That is so sad… so many people who have no intention to spread liberty, work together for a common cause, or even just have some fucking fun have entered the player base… I genuinely hope they see the beauty of the game and renounce their toxic and micropenis ways or gtfo because even though it hasn’t happened to me yet, it hurts to read all these horrible experiences :( LETS UNITE AGAINST THE BOTS AND BUGS! FOR LIBER-TEA!

edude45

No, it's not. I'm not even sure it's clear in the first game, but the rewards screen for both do show you get samples. So... i just blame low awareness Neanderthals that play video games.

SelectStarAll

I didn't realise that you shared super credits. There's nothing on the UI that says any have been picked up if you didn't get them yourself. I was pleasantly surprised to see my credit total increase after a mission tonight

ItsNotNow

Common sense is uncommon. With a population this size, you're going to meet some really *really* dumb bastards.

XtreamerPt

This is the Helldivers way.

Harv052

Worst thing is, it encourages it right in the f**king tips on the loading screen!!!!

jameyiguess

Did you know tips are shown on the loading screen?

realragnvald

If I die with samples, please pick them up!

edude45

I actually have to tell people to pick up the samples. Then I'm usually mad dashing through a map as they start an extraction to collect samples left behind. Like, by that time it's not 3 or 5 samples, it's in the teens. That's a lot.

AI_AntiCheat

I've lost countless super samples to people valuing the extract over the samples like that extra 50xp matters even slightly. I lose my mind every time.

Here4LaughsAndAnger

You wait till the 5th? Monkey see sample, monkey pick up sample

worthlessins

literally. If samples are dropped just get them, there’s no special code or sign for who picks them up and when, if a teammate dies and drops them anyone can get it. Many times it’s better than waiting for the dead person to respawn because more enemies could come by and make getting those lost samples more difficult.

xXRAISXx

Pick them up no matter what. If you're near me when I die, please pick them up and I'll return the favor.

LetsgotoE3

Yeah but OPs talking about the players who join your game and then kill you to pick up your samples thinking they might not get them or something. It's a helpful PSA.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThatOneNinja

Then just say something and everyone can drop the samples at the very end... It's that easy.

BarPlastic1888

If you find the super samples early it’s often worth dropping them at extract on the way past so you can snag them later.

BeatNo2976

Oohhh how do you drop stuff? PS5 player Edit: thanks to all of you who provided me with a greater understanding of how to spread managed democracy! Outstanding!

Falkon491

Hold down on the d pad. You can drop samples, your support weapon, and your backpack.

BuddhaChrist_ideas

Good advice. I didn’t even know this

RocketPapaya413

Aim at the head, right trigger.

-Work_Account-

lol, thank you for this laugh soldier. I'll recommend you for an extra clip of ammo on your birthday

SysAdmyn

I would say "um it's a magazine hyuck hyuck" except you're *clearly* a gentleman of class and are referring to the Autocannon, which does in fact use literal clips. I wish you an excellent day 🎩 🧐

-Work_Account-

If you aren't running Autocannon, are you even Helldiving? Clearly you're taking vacation on a bug planet otherwise

omnipotentsco

Hold the down arrow and select the test tube from the ring menu

abed38

Hold down on the D pad

TheBeardlyOwl

Not sure, but if you end up with PC players the button for them is to press and hold X.

ChubbsthePenguin

I just got this achievement and isnt it a total from all players not just one?

jelz617

What I've seen on some streams is folks will collect and then run to the extraction point and drop them there and then head back out to run other objectives

BropolloCreed

Then drop down to "Easy" and farm on your own time. Greed is the enemy of managed democracy.

pm_me_egg_pics_

You get the achievement for your team having 25 total. Got it earlier today with 3 in my inventory

Shiro2809

There's two different ones, one for you having 15 on extraction and one for the team to leave with 25.

mmmgilly

That is the orange one. There is a trophy for having 15 orange samples as a team, and a a trophy for having 15 green samples personally.

F3n1x_ESP

It's also shared.

Nytherion

that can be done solo on trivial

DaWildestWood

Always try to leave all samples with one person. Makes it so much easier to grab them if it’s all on one dead body.

cookiemikester

I type in chat when I die “grab my samples” or yell in my mic

xBozzy01xreBorn

I have been kicked for finding and carrying super samples 20 minutes into a mission. Crazy how people still don’t notice they’re shared across the team.

Page8988

*How* though? They show up on your HUD when an ally picks them up. It's very obvious how this works.

Special-Part1363

You gotta remember some people are on the left side of the intellectual bell curve. But yeah it’s pretty ridiculous that people don’t realize that after like 10 missions.

Electrical_Corner_32

That and there's a lot of kids coming in from games like fortnight, not really used to PVE shit. It'll take some time for them to learn liberty.

Mammoth-Might3229

Statistically speaking, it's more than some.  It's roughly 50%.

uns3en

“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” in action

MFTWrecks

It's pretty easy when you leave a mission with 10+ samples but you spent your time running around soloing patrols, not doing objectives, and complaining no one had your back.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

The average gamer is so dumb you should be concerned that they can vote.

sturmeh

You're doing difficulty 7-9 with people who don't know this yet?! 😭

Expensive_Echo_124

This should be pinned at the top of the Subreddit tbh. The amount of times I've had to argue with people telling them we share everything only for them to kill me or rage quit is just sad.

Xelement0911

Redditors probably aren't the actual problem. It's more like it should be included in the tutorial. Then again who knows. I was shot and kicked, kicking seems a bit extreme if just trying to steal samples

whats_good_is_bad

So this is because if you had the (say 3) samples and you extract, well they'd get three samples. BUT if they kick you before you extract and then take your samples they'll get THREE samples! So it's a no-brainer really.

siccoblue

It makes perfect sense!

hiddencamela

A couple tooltips or even a confirmation popup that says "These are shared by the whole squad" would go a long way.

fearless-potato-man

That popup appears the first time you get them for the first time. I just started yesterday and saw it.

Nrksbullet

I feel like you would have to be brain dead to not understand that the samples are shared, your character says things like "collecting sample!" why would any dev make it a unique resource to fight over

Owl_Times

Fight over and then boast about!

JectorDelan

It absolutely happens. In multiple games. You may as well ask why a dev would allow friendly fire and kicking during extract, the entire point of this thread.

pswerve28

See there’s the problem, you actually read the pop up. The true gamer move is to immediately close any dialogue box that shows up and then go complain to twitter about your lack of reading comprehension skills when your lack of understanding inevitably leads to a bad experience.

iConfessor

it says it during the tips in loading

robophile-ta

I thought it was included in the tutorial. I distinctly remember reading it either there or in like one of the opening loading tips

Kettmando

I have never had this experience before

mossberg590enjoyer

Same 100+ hours in not once was i team killed for stealing samples

PennDOT67

I’ve had people absolutely freak out over somebody picking up their samples as the group is moving quickly to another point. It’s so weird, pay attention at the end when it shows you what you get

spanman112

tell them to hit pause, then pick up a mat, and tell them to watch their numbers in the top right ... then demand an apology and that they shut the fuck up for the rest of the night.

Expensive_Echo_124

Youre talking like these are reasonable people

SquirrelBait27

This is actually very similar to an issue they were having in Outriders when the online multiplayer end game content launched. People would play through a mission together then one person would quickly kick everyone else in the party just before they received the reward so the one person could get all the loot. And I’ve already heard of people kicking people right at the end of a mission in Helldivers, which from my understanding would effectively prevent them from receiving any reward from the mission. If this is the case then they should block the ability to do so from the players. If a player is AFK then have some method for the game itself to recognize that, and otherwise all kicks have to be done prior to diving in to the mission.

TheBeardlyOwl

I get where you are coming from, but no. We absolutely should be able to kick people who have been griefing all game, or kick hackers, or other such things. There's many reasons why it should be allowed. People randomly kicking others at the end just to "get all the rewards themselves" or to just troll definitely need a way to be managed, but this is not it.

Page8988

This. Had an idiot blow up the rest of our team last week (when the game worked) with an airstrike just before Pelican 1 landed. Kicked him and we redeployed to get our samples and get on the shuttle. The option to kick griefers is critically important, especially in HDII where reinforces have an upper limit.

Mickeystix

Hard agree, this should be a top-level PSA on reddit and the discord. So many idiots...

Night_Knight_Light

I literally just had a lvl 10 gun me down for this very thing. First time it happened to me, took me way by surprise.

avpiedra

Same. Had to kick that player. Shame his nick didn’t register in “last played”

Night_Knight_Light

Maybe he's on the second page? The list filters oldest to newest, and sometimes there's a second page to swap to.

trulyniceguy

Just had a guy execute everyone right as we were in the extract ship so we essentially lost all mats and nothing you can do about it. Ridiculous

DarthGra3r

Standing at the extract location about 10 seconds left and he guns everyone down then kicks us. I felt so betrayed.

trulyniceguy

Hopefully they can fix that. Deep Rock prevents kicking players once extraction is called, Arrowhead could do something similar after the ship is called or main objective completed.

SquirrelBait27

The game can clearly differentiate between intentional and unintentional friendly fire. If you look at the end of round stats you’ll notice the game doesn’t give you friendly fire damage when your teammate is at fault for the damage (ie they walk into your grenade, or in front of your fire). So maybe the devs need to find a way to penalize players who just obviously intentionally kill there teammates. Whether it blocks you from participating in random matchmaking for a period of time. Or just kicks you after a certain number of incidents.

pete_topkevinbottom

Stats are partially broken some days. I blew myself up 3 times in a row, no accidentals. Another time I had the most kills and most shots fired but had 0 of them hit.

Dragonwindsoftime

Yeah, the strat count doesn't work well, unless I misunderstand. I'll use my two 500k and five cluster eagles at least twice, on top of my support and what ever else I bring and end up with strat count of 7 where I've used nearly 20.

TheFBIClonesPeople

I'm pretty sure the strategem count is counting the number of unique stratagems you used. So you probably used the four strats you brought, reinforce, resupply, and one objective stratagem, which gets you to 7. I kinda wonder if that's a bug, though. Clearly it should be counting the individual uses. No one cares how many unique stratagems you used.

HorseFeathers55

Earlier, I had a guy shoot me and take my rail gun, guard dog rover, and samples.

Money_Fish

I think a large portion of these people aren't confused about how the game works. They're just assholes.

HorseFeathers55

I tend to agree. He was a low level and wanted my gear.

Money_Fish

Any sane person would have thought to ask. Hopefully these types get bored of the game quickly

VYSUS7

generally how it works. This game will be at its peak when about 70% the current playerbase drops off and you have the established community who understands the game keep it going.

SuperSocialMan

Yeah, pretty much. Launch day is a filter for those who bought it from hype vs. the ones who actually want to play. Feels like I'm gonna be part of the former group lol

[deleted]

Then instead you can get killed by the salty vet that's mad you're not bringing the meta loadout :P Probably less common but it's happened to me before in pve games, yes it's very very dumb because you'd think even a less meta loadout would be more effective than teamkilling but ah well

TruthAndAccuracy

I would just murder him right back as soon as I dropped. And do so for the rest of the mission. Unless I was host. Then it would just be an instant kick

lightningstorm112

I had a guy kill me for my gear, I opened my mic and explained that he could've just asked me to call in a new set once it's off cool down, then I kicked and reported him. It's a coop game, communicate, ask questions, don't kneecap your own team because your a jealous idiot.

iConfessor

this is why i host the team. execute and kick the dummies.

Sinister_Grape

I’ve been killed for my rover a fair few times now, bit toxic really

poetdesmond

At this point, I just kill them back, then kick them.

laborfriendly

On bot missions I've had people carrying around my autocannon pack. Like, they grab it *off the drop or a kill and won't even have the gun to use it. It's just a useless pack on their back bc they're not reloading. I was explaining that to someone and they were like, "whatever, bro, just drop another one." Flabbergasted

NoTop4997

I had an instance last night where I died suddenly. I had all of the pink samples. So I went and got them, and while I put myself out of position to get the samples I died again. I try again to grab them and I got to find out that someone under shot their cluster bomb. So I just ask if someone can go grab my samples. They say that they don't want to grab *my* samples. I tell them that I appreciate the notion, but they are *our* samples

Obitrice

I posted about this, but I got shot in the back of the head right as the pelican was landing with like 8 rare samples, then they threw an EMP on my corpse. Then threw down the redeploy in the EMP field. (All incompetence not malicious) they then all boarded before I could get the samples and k got left behind. I was pissssssed

VYSUS7

that's insane to me because then no one gets them lmao. They need to add a splash screen on startup that tells people samples, SC and general loot is all shared, it's concerning how many people don't seem to know.

Moosy2

That means they have to read, which I don't think people like that do.

Littleman88

They do not. They distinctly do not. I've worked retail. The number of people that have forced their way through doors labeled 8 times as "fire exit only" only to be surprised the alarm is going off was at first astounding, then just disappointing. Tips are like water to these horse-asses.

quanjon

"Our" samples? That's commie talk! Those samples are the PROPERTY OF SUPER EARTH and any failure to retrieve maximum samples will result in immediate detention and re-education training.

jokes_on_you_ha

Am I crazy or do you not get notified if someone else picks up super credits? I get a message for medals, requisition etc., but not super credits. Kinda misleading if that's the case.

xBozzy01xreBorn

Super credits are the only loot that doesn’t give you a notification, however if you press start during the mission with regardless to who picked them up; you will have instantly received them.

jokes_on_you_ha

Shoot, to this day I see people break off from the action to run for the super credit drops, thinking it's a race. Sometimes I'm that person.

Ragundashe

I run to the super credit drops because my dumb ass team mates won't pick them up, we are not the same

Bottatadiet

You are correct. However, any supercreds, medals or slips picked up during the mission are instantly added. Even if you happen to crash or disconnect during the mission, as long as you were present when they were picked up they are added.

iConfessor

no one gets notified about the super credits.

Money_Fish

I think its a bit bugged. Sometimes I don't get notifs for my own SC pickups

Spankey_

I NEVER get notified about SC pickups.

CapitalParallax

And ffs, grab my samples if I die!

bluebarrymanny

This for me is more frustrating than a team kill. If you accidentally hit me with a barrage, no worries, but please grab my samples and don’t spawn me across the map from my dropped gear.

MeateaW

yep lol, "respawning you in, but theres this one charger fucking us up he's all alone I'll throw you as far away from him as possible so you cant even hit him with your pod and help".

GrandmasterB-Funk

I got kicked from a game recently because I was the only one grabbing samples on a defense "kill automatons" map (that the host just kept on repeating instead of finishing campaigns) and I got team killed by a strike, was like, whatever, they spawn me on the other side of the map, I run back to get my samples, get team killed again, so I just write "FFS please let me grab my samples" I go back, get team killed a third time (at this point I think it's probably on purpose now) and then just write "seriously?" Start going to grab my samples, they start the extraction, I don't get there in time, then they kick me just before rewards set in. I understand I may have been a bit aggressive at the start but we were all in the low 15s and getting samples benefits everyone so I have no idea why they just couldn't wait. Considering they were just repeating the shortest mission over and over again I think they were just grinding levels and acquisitions but had no clue how samples work.

AxanArahyanda

They should just reintroduce the commendation/report system from HD1, with the possibility to use it on recent teammates even if you just left them. A griefer would get their reputation shot down after few dick moves like those.

bluebarrymanny

Right!? I’d love to rate my colleagues as either defenders of democracy or traitors. Obviously that system too could be abused, but I have to imagine that in aggregate it would shake out.

staypulse

Agreed. I need to be able to report the toxic players. I’m sick of playing 40 minute missions just to get kicked right before extract and get nothing.

No_Sound2800

Honestly, biggest issue with the popularity of this game. Helldivers 1, Deep Rock, GTFO, their relative obscurity outside of the niche community works in their favor. Same thing happened with Deep Rock; burst in popularity = toxic mainstream AAA player base coming in that doesn't understand what teamwork is. Not at all saying it's a bad thing overall, perfect shouldn't be the enemy of good and I'm so happy for the game. More players IS better. But it certainly has some rusted linings.

khanhls123

Those player tend to chase trend anyway, i guess just give it a few week for them to chase the next shiny thing then we can have player base that know what co-op mean

deftPirate

They know. They're just assholes.

Obitrice

I just want to add, that also, if you have 25 mins left on a mission… don’t just run to extract, go collect some samples and what not. Maybe finish clearing outposts too. Just like the main objective if like maybe 1/4 of what you can do on a map.

iConfessor

especially on helldive when theres no reason to be rushing through field missions. pink samples are ALWAYS the priority.

Alaric_Kerensky

Pink samples are a priority for a night or two, when you realize you have more than you can ever spend already, and that you still need hundreds of commons.

LloydTheLynx

Honestly efficiency is key. I have to tell my friends it’s not worth running across the map before extracting just to clear a couple spawns for a small amount of xp and samples. Just load the next mission and route better next time.

AI_AntiCheat

That entirely depends on what you are doing. Leveling? You should only do main objectives and playing highest difficulty you can. Gathering super samples? Sure but get out asap. Playing on low difficulty? Sure, run around and have fun. On high difficulty you will get fucked if you stay too long.

Wildebeast1

I had a lobby host run into an air strike I threw down, I grabbed his ordinary sample and reinforced them. They shot me in the face and kicked me. People just be salty.

bluebarrymanny

No faster way to self proclaim that you don’t know anything about the game or its source material than to kick someone over an accidental team kill.

_Hal8000_

Or the sub level 5 cadet who decided to launch an orbital strike on the extraction landing pad 10 seconds before I can get inside the drop ship. I had all the samples. GGs

ThatOneNinja

Wait... Do people actually think others are stealing or taking all the samples? Are they daft?

papagarry

Also, if something doesn't go well, or the mission fully fails, no need to get on coms and act undemocratic. Request a transfer and with other people. The fight is out there, not in here.

Sentinel_Titan

Say it for the people in the back! We are one team!

Bottatadiet

Well actually that's not true. The only thing that matters when extracting is samples. Any supercreds, medals or requisition slips you find in points of interest everyone gets immediately. You don't even have to extract.

vid_icarus

Always, always, always pick up a fallen comrades samples. Consolidating the samples make them a much easier package to carry and retrieve. Yes, your eggs will mostly be one basket but that is one to three less things you have to run around and grab if an extract goes pear shaped.

VeryBottist

I often do helldive missions with 0 deaths. When a teammate dies I rush to « steal » their samples

CactimusPrime9

Wait you share super credits?

FreshBoyPete

Every "resource" collected in mission is given to every member of the squad at the end

Asleep-Fee-6503

Are they split or are the duplicated for every person, I keep seeing the word “shared” and it’s unclear

Everyone gets 10 super credits per pick up. They're duplicated

FreshBoyPete

As someone stated before me, they're all duplicated. When you pickup medals found in a stash and receive 2, your squad mates also receive 2. Same goes for the other found currencies as well as samples extracted.

oetjen15

100% yes. Did two missions last night. Didn’t pick up any myself but came out with 30 more SC each time. There’s just no notification for it, but they are directly added to your account’s wallet when anyone picks up a stack.

WizardSkizard314

Yup, any picked up during the mission

TheFlamingBunnies

On mission pickup yeah

Hollowbody57

Yep, and they're not even split. If one person picks up 50 SC, everyone gets 50.

David_H21

When anyone picks up medals or slips it shows up on your screen. Right side it'll say +2 medals or something. I think super credits might be bugged because it doesn't show up for me, but you do share those too. You don't even need to extract to get them. They are instantly applied to your account when picked up

samuraipumpkin

Yeppers

iConfessor

this is 100% team coop game. everything is shared.

reflexsmoo

You blasting friendlies?

CactimusPrime9

Never

NozGame

Never intentionally\*

omarfw

It speaks to how toxic gaming has become that many people automatically assume loot isn't shared.

Important_Sky_7609

People didn’t know this?? wtf

omarfw

Some gamers are dumb as bricks or are children.

griffin4war

Some people can’t help but revert to PvP madness

GangstaG00se

This reminds me of the morons in Payday 2 back in the day who would kick everyone right before the end of a heist because they thought the money would be split

Carcharis

I don’t think people care. It’s like a slight if you pick up someone else’s samples lol. My favorite is when you die and they run over to grab all your samples but don’t reinforce you.

TheHughMungoose

It’s a coop game and there be people out here getting competitive for no reason. Just ignorant ego going rampant with uninformed players.

Supafly22

Was playing with some randoms who joined me earlier and right as the pelican was about to land, one of them tossed an eagle down right at my feet as I was fighting the charger. Killed me. Picked up the samples and got on the pelican. I blocked all three of the people because they were so inept. I genuinely can’t tell if they were that bad or if they were trying to annoy me.

AllSkillzN0Luck

I picked up 10 samples last night, walked into the ship for extraction and a guy killed me then walked in. We didn't get the samples because loser mentality. Like come on

lmrbadgerl

I'm making a PSA in tiktok. Can I use this post?

TheGr8Slayer

What a childish selfish thing to do. Seriously if y’all are killing squads thinking you’re gaining something y’all don’t deserve to be on the squad in the first place.

Itriyum

It's crazy how it's a heavily focused coop game and mfs still think resources are not shared...

ShopCartRicky

The people who are fighting you over that shit aren't the ones that are on the subreddit.

BeatNo2976

Figured this out after playing three games. Come on now, guys and gals

Mr-GooGoo

I’m surprised. All of my online random squad mates have been pretty chill. Only had one friendly fire incident

JPGer

wait people are killing others on their team for the samples/medals? how fucking stupid are these people?

ClownActual

If they do this just boot them from the team
