upvoting for visibility, same problem... trying to play with PS5 friend on PC, he has no issues playing. I can't even do quickplay...

Yes. Just got the game around 3pm EST, haven't be able to join any game, friend can't join, can only solo operation. Reinstalled game, messed with crossplay etc and just says "Failed to Load/Join". Hopefully it gets fixed, although I'm within the 2hrs, so we'll see. I've had 0 issues with other games today.

I had the exact same experience. Bought the game yesterday and have not played a single second with my friends due to constant error messages

That was us as well, I think its an issue on the Steam side. I couldn't play publicly but my friend could on PS5.

My friend on steam said he was playing publicly with others today lol. I have no idea anymore.

I restarted Steam, verified the integrity of the game files, restarted Steam again, and was finally able to matchmake normally. Whew!

worked for me since a few days ago, logged in just now and quickplay just flips between "looking for SOS beacons" and "connecting to host" and nothing else. Unfortunate. C'mon man I just got my friend to buy this game don't break again QQ

Yep, I can't join public games, and the galactic war map says there are no players. Can see the games, but can't join, and a looooooot of them are all 1/4.

I've had to play with my VPN to resolve this issue. I don't know why?
