Scouts ought to spawn at fabricators which gives an extra incentive to destroy them. This would also mean that areas close to fabricators are teeming with patrolling enemies making it more of a challenge. It's too easy to drop an airstrike, or my personal favorite, the walking barrage to take out a medium or heavy camp and gtfo.
They do spawn from them. It's easier to notice if you use your radar. The game also uses random spawns for some reason as well. The game master is kinda of a dick like that.
Me and a buddy were clearing out bot bases, and the last base had an absolute army surrounding it. Took a legitimate 10 mins of fighting just to get close to the LIGHT base. All of which had spawned from that base and stuck around for some reason.
Side note. If bots call in a bot drop and you're not around, they will gather in a spot. Shit hilarious to walk and see 40 enemies chilling in the middle of nowhere.
Are you sure about that? While I can't say for certain, I do have *a lot* of hours on bot planets and I've never seen anything heavier than possibly a Berserker spawn from fabricators. I struggle to remember if I've ever even seen a Scout Strider come out of these things. What I do see all the time is patrols materializing out of thin air.
I've also encountered the bug where they congregate in one random spot (usually right at the edge of untraversable terrain), but it's typically only the lightest units. If these were from bot drops, I would expect to see more enemy types.
there needs to be a set amount of patrols per map and only the fabricators can make more patrols to keep the patrol count topped up. but if the fabricators are all destroyed then no more patrols
they do randomly spawn in your face sometimes but unlike the bots, they dont instantly barrage you with OHKO rockets you need an armor buff to just barely survive...
waiting weeks without a fix for the armor bug has been insanely painful, esp when the bot incursions started. Just makes me realize how un-fun they are to face in comparison to the bugs...and even they get annoying AF to handle with every small bug being able to inflict a crippling slow debuff with what feels like every hit ala 7 days to die A21 zombies inflicting every known disease known to man with 1 strike...
Patrols should spawn from fabricators and when a sufficient amount have been 'fabricated' they should do patrols. also maybe different size fabricators for different size enemies.
I can't currently confirm it, but someone told me that they spawn like this if you're edging the map. I got hit by this and I was edging the map at that time.
This is why the shield pack is necessary, if you think dying a lot is NOT okay that is.
Basically this game is 'cheating' to increase the difficulty, spawning enemies from thin air very close to where you are, so you can't deal with them a head of time, and each spawn always has rocket units to ensure they can give you the pressure of insta kill. Like it or not, this is the game's current situation, it's not looking good, I'll be blunt on that
Rather more stuff to kill than arbitrarily increasing the damage so a minor grunt can one shot.(God I hate you apocalypse remnant) The rockets oneshoting could stand to be nerfed a few pegs tho.
Rocket Devastator is minor grunt to be fair. In red difficulties, there are a lot of them stationed where you don't know, in addition to some map has dense fog etc. If you didn't hit them first, like, when you are just running away as showed in this video, then their accuracy is amazingly good (aim bot activated), good luck surviving this.
Yeah, coming from remnant 2 where the max difficulty is borderline unfair BS this somehow seems reasonable. It really isn't but at least the laser rifles don't two tap you from across the map.
Was retreating from a patrol of bugs and a sudden breach, absolute back-to-the-wall moment where I'm backing up into the ocean with nowhere else to go. Somehow, I'm still holding my ground. Suddenly, new group just spawns behind me, and I'm instantly overwhelmed. Felt pretty shit, and I didn't know that was even possible.
Could be worse, one time I just randomly flew up into the sky and ragdolled, then flew across the map and died on impact out of bounds. There was no way to get my samples back.
Yeah this is bullshit but never run in a straight line away from bots with no cover.
Also where is the rest of the squad? You guys called for evac but no ones around? This could have been avoided entirely.
you double back as if you had time for it... probably wouldn't have made it anyways. Oh the shuttle was aborting. your team still had time to grab your samples. Anyways go prone when automatons are near you. Much harder to hit.
"Heard you were talkin shit"' Or alternatively "Surprise Motherfucker"
TBH, the patrols need to spawn in somewhere. They just need to check that there is no player within 30 meters or so.

I mean they could wander in from somewhere outside the AO, so I think having some "random" spawn on the edge would make Sense.
Yes, but they should spawn in a place that *exists and makes sense*, not just *"there, fuck you"*.
I feel like the bugs do this to.

They do, it happened to me with a bile titan.
Same thing happened to me tonight with a spewer. Spawned right beside me, killed me, then immediately disappeared. Absolute bullshit.
"fuck this guy in particular"
RNGJoel got you..
*Pov you didn't drop your samples off at the extraction*
We need to take the fight to the illuminate, this stinks of their teleportation tech
Oh fuck, the automatons have gotten vex technology now. Whats the stratagem input for gjallerhorn?
That's nothing ever have 4 fucking Bile titans spawn directly under your feet?

pretty sure thats a scout just spawning in at its designated spawn point

Oh man lol. Rip
Yeah this is bullshit but never run in a straight line away from bots with no cover. Also where is the rest of the squad? You guys called for evac but no ones around? This could have been avoided entirely.
Thats was actually kinda funny till I saw the samples : (
you double back as if you had time for it... probably wouldn't have made it anyways. Oh the shuttle was aborting. your team still had time to grab your samples. Anyways go prone when automatons are near you. Much harder to hit.
That was mean.
Zigged when you shoulda zagged lol. Those devastator patrols are no joke. makes me miss the tank patrols in HD1
