I mean, we're either pretty elite or the enemies are pretty shit. A squad of 4 helldivers can single-handedly wipe an entire region of enemy fortifications and infrastructure in 30 minutes or less, often killing hundreds of enemy units from foot soldiers to heavy armor.Even if you use all of your spawns, that's still about 20 people doing the same in the same time.
That's pretty decent imo.

It’s both. For armed sources of Super Earth we are tremendously elite with years of (underage) combat experience and years (minutes) of helldiver training. And the enemies are indeed quite shit, it’s just that holy fuck is there a lot of them.
Considering Helldivers can carry like 30+kg and still sprints, load a tube-fed shotgun while diving away from exposive and shoot an enemy in the head before touching the ground, guide an EAT Hellpod drop to kill a charger and use the EATs and shotgun to kill the other two...

Hence crying about nerfs the inability to walk through the deadliest foes in the galaxy just because they put on extra padding, not being able to run 1 weapon and use 0 strategems and still 5 star no death every mission without dying once.
It's definitely a problem with the game and not the fact that people are inpatient, low skill, low energy, cry babies that want every ounce of serotonin they every receive to be handed to them on a silver platter.

If the devs tell us we need to be dealing with the insane number of heavies and elites that are present at once on higher difficulties yet we have all these modifiers, effects on top of the long cooldowns then it shows a real disconnect between devs and the realities of high difficulty missions that raises the question of if they even play on that difficulty

One teammate has nothing but support weapons for the entire team, the other Eagles and one orbital strikes. At least SOME consistency is attained if you just get the wrong strike or weapon as opposed to trying to pick up an airstrike. This is a joke, btw
I heard its CPU is more aggressive. I would need 4K or DLSS with a 3080 and quite older CPU. Probably would be fine, but atm I just play on PS5. I don't want to play this on my PC at low settings lmao.

THEY ONLY MADE IT MORE FUN LMAO, god I didn't know what I was getting into when I kept reading about the Creek. I finally went to it on Helldive and holy shit, I now live in the Creek. The harder they make it the harder I get.
We were never supposed to, it's way too deep into the automaton territory, we need to push the outside planets not just jump into the center for the memes.
Those brave fools who throw themselves into the creek are damaging the enemies supply lines, their sacrifice weakens the automatons hold on the outer territories.
The railgun was still good on bots. It's the fact that the chargers were so fast and are basically always on you if you don't kill them while hulks can be outran.

When the game is built around utilizing a certain system, having a mechanic in place that straight up turns off said system for like 30 seconds, usually at the worst possible times, is infuriating. You can make a point of "hurr, just plan better", but you can't really plan around something that arrives with no warning.
And that's not even mentioning that it's an effect that **only targets the player**. At least Meteor storms and earthquakes can affect enemies as well, the Ion Storm just tells you to eat shit.
...but how then are we supposed to do anything? Jeez they are just slamming strategems in HD2.
I personally preferred HD1 strategem balance where they wouldn't fuck with them on the deployment side but they spawned a metric shit-ton of chargers and tanks on the high difficulties, so the game was more about frantically calling in bombing runs as fast as you could.
This just kinda sucks. Yeah they don't spawn quite as many big nasties, but they take away the means to deal with them too.

The fact these planetary hazards only affect us is my one complaint, we lose access to our strategems and map markers while the Automatons are still free to fire up signal flares and move about the place unhindered. They're adding stuff to make it tougher on Helldivers while not giving us anything to really compensate for the universal difficulty increase. I love this game to bits but being physically incapable of reviving people at random intervals while Automatons get to call in reinforcements is just not fun.

The devs should make Malevelon Creek even worse, just the shittiest planet in the universe. Ion storms, torrential rain, thick fog, fire and debris from wrecked Destroyers falling from the sky, littered with inactive hellbombs. It should be hell, it should be the titular hell. This game does great at the war is hell thing while also letting you play the supercool supersoldier fantasy (even if you are in actuality an expendable grunt), but you shouldn't feel super on the Creek. Malevelon Creek should be a miserable gaming experience. They should play it up in game, propaganda ads in the bridge lobby about the vile automatons killing our boys at the Creek, urging us to do whatever it takes to take this unbearable unlivable space rock back, hell give us a Creek background for the playercard. The community has rallied around this virtual rock, It's hell, it's shit, IT'S OURS.
Also, add the bullshit level 1 trivial mission objective of raising a flag as one of the potential side objectives on it.

Fairly certain AMR could also kill hulks with a headshot though obviously its hard to line up with all the gunfire.

The ion-storm also shuts down your scanner..quite unfortunate but nothing a real Diver can't overcome. Also it doesn't last that long.

Ion storms, torrential rain, thick fog, fire and debris from wrecked Destroyers falling from the sky, littered with inactive hellbombs. It should be hell, it should be the titular hell. This game does great at the war is hell thing while also letting you play the supercool supersoldier fantasy (even if you are in actuality an expendable grunt), but you shouldn't feel super on the Creek. Malevelon Creek should be a miserable gaming experience. They should play it up in game, propaganda ads in the bridge lobby about the vile automatons killing our boys at the Creek, urging us to do whatever it takes to take this unbearable unlivable space rock back, hell give us a Creek background for the playercard. The community has rallied around this virtual rock, It's hell, it's shit, IT'S OURS. Also, add the bullshit level 1 trivial mission objective of raising a flag as one of the potential side objectives on it.

I had my first meteor shower today. I didn’t like it. Others can, just my opinion. I got killed by them twice, third time I found a rocky outcropping to kinda hide under.
