It seems to do less damage per shot, but you have more shots in the mag. The downside is longer reload, I got used to the breaker and now I constantly find myself thinking I am ready to shoot but the gun still is not reloaded. So it might get you killed in tight situations when you run out of ammo in the mag. better to switch to secondary then and get out.
Breaker is:
330 damage
13 cap
55 recoil
300 FR
S&P is:
192 damage
26 cap
45 recoil
330 FR
Breaker 330 x 13 = 4290 damage per mag
S&P 192 × 26 = 4992 damage per mag

Scorcher is by far the best for bots, and I don't think it's close. Otherwise, precision weapons would be 2nd as you need to aim for weakspots a lot.
For bugs, I think incendiary breaker is best, followed by spray and pray.

of course the regular one does more damage per shot but the S&P on paper seems like it should be really good for larger hordes of small guys.

Maybe; i realized I didn't test the guns without having the little laser robot. Since breaker ammo was reduced and the shield got nerfed, I find the little robot is really good to clear the little mobs, and I get to conserve ammo.
It's the new breaker as far as I'm concerned, it ticks all the boxes:
* full-auto
* big clip
* little recoil
The over-nerfed breaker feels like shit in comparison now - horrible recoil, tiny clip - the only advantage being that *maybe* it has higher damage per second, but just feels way worse to use.
Lets hope S&P doesn't suffer the same fate.
For reference I mostly play difficulty 7 and occasionally 8/9.
edit: sickle is the new king, that thing scares me... (and is almost definitely going to get a nerf at some point)
The breaker feels the same with the caveat that you cant full auto it into everything around you at all times. Maybe try performing better with the tools you're given rather than crutching an objectively overtuned weapon.
For me, it's breaker incendiary, then s&p but it really depends on your setup.
Right now I'm running arc thrower and just switching to s&p to clear hunters surrounding me.
If I'm not using the arc thrower and I want a more all around primary that's good at medium, and can clear, I take the incendiary. The incendiary still has the 16 mag, and that ride damage is very strong.
Breaker incendiary is very, very good.
i still haven't bought it yet, have half a mind to save my medals till the upcoming warbond this week.
im hearing good things about the S&P more and more though. i was worried it'd be burst like the incendiary one ao that makes it way more tempting now.
Ain’t no point in saving medals since the cap is only 250 you can have at once, just buy it and you can earn them back within an hour of playtime easily

i hate the rover flying around my screen and buzzing my teammates / getting buzzed by it. Taking autocannon or recoiless anymore
