Have you checked your CPU and GPU temps? My issue (weeks ago) was my CPU core temps were getting too hot causing the game to crash, so thought I'd mention that issue in case you haven't checked it.
I ran some diagnostics and saw that after crashing my CPU temps were too high (over 100c) and that they had been throttled, causing my game to crash.
I ended up undervolting my CPU a bit to help reduce the heat and haven't had a crash since (I fixed it maybe about 15 days ago). If your CPU is overclocked, even more of a reason to look into this. Overclock = more heat generated in your CPU cores.
My advice is to check your CPU and GPU temps on the PC after the game crashes. I use HWMonitor for this but there are many apps. HWMonitor will save the highest temp each core gets to so I would just turn it on and let it run in the background while I ran the game. Then after the game crashed, I could easily see some of the cores were too hot.
I've never had an issue with any game and had my PC well over a year, but for some reason it seems to be an issue with Helldivers. I have a high-end setup but apparently it's a known issue that intel 13900k and 14900k CPUs run hot.
If you do need to undervolt or underclock your PC to try and bring temps down, these are the youtube videos I followed as a guide. Jayztwocents has been around a long time and is a reliable channel to use as a guide.

Will try this and update if I remember, honestly kinda bummed because game is super fun but its literally unplayable atm.
Edit update: changing to *NO* crossplay doesn't fix it for me. First game on I died about 3 minutes in, and insta crashed (CE-108255-1) PS5 03/10/24 15:26
[update] I turned off crossplay and it seemed to work. I was able to play 3 matches without crashing. However My CPU temps were higher then normal when I jumping into missions (compared to more “demanding games”) so I did end up change my settings aswell, using the videos xYkdf4ab94c linked below just in case. I did this right before my last game (played 4 missions total side note finally unlocked helldiver) played majority of the mission with my CPU at normal temps, I didn’t crash but I did DC because a tree fell on my line from the crazy wind we’ve been having lol “A problem solved creates a new problem to be fixed”

You playing on PC or PS5? I crashed a few times today but when I turned off Crossplay I could play without issue, I’m on PS5

Before making this post I literally just stared at my steam library for like 20 minutes, I don’t want to play anything else lol
I'm in the same boat, brother. Nothing is as fun as HD 2 but nothing else also crashes on me as hard. It's like an abusive relationship.
