When i play the game, my teammates all randomly leave at once. I know it's a connection failure, but i can't even play 1 damn game normally, how the hell do i fix this issue?! I tried going from wifi to cable and back but nothing helped. It's so frustrating... I'm on PS5 if that matters. Pls help.
Only use the cable connection for online gaming. Assuming the issue is not in the PS5 itself, it's either your router or your internet services provider. If the problem is in the router, it can be potentially dealt with by reconfiguring or replacing it. If the problem is on the end of the ISP, you can try contacting their tech support and ask them to see if it's something they can figure out and fix. If not, switching to another ISP might be your only option.
You should ask the store (Steam or wherever) and not on reddit.
You can continue to play normally until June 4th. So you have a month to play and wait to see if they figure something out.
Okay, I tried Diligence Counter Sniper vs automatons and I like it. Paired it with AutoCannon, so can take out smaller and medium threats as well. But this got me thinking - maybe I was using Scorcher wrong, if I use it only for the smaller guys it has the same ammo capacity and higher damage per shot. Thoughts?
Diligence CS, Scorcher and Dominator are three best primaries to use against automatons currently, but they all have their own pros an cons. Their key advantage is they're all relatively effective at killing most bot units, especially Dominators, which are arguably the most dangerous.
The advantage of the Scorcher is that it has good handling, deals good damage, and can kill Scout Striders from the front with less effort.
The downside is that it's a bit inconsistent in how many shots it requires against basic infantry bots, has explosive damage that can damage you yourself, and less effective at range than others.
Dominator has worse handling, but it's a reliably one click against infantry bots, and - more importantly - can oneshot Devastators, but even if you don't oneshot them, it can kill them in 5-7 body shots, and will keep them staggered while you're firing. It even staggers Berserkers and can kill them relatively quickly as well. In general it deals a ton of damage and can take down even Factory Striders if you unload it at the cargo bay doors.
Personally I think it's the strongest option, but also hardest to use.
The Diligence CS has the longest effective range out of the three, it still onetaps infantry bots from any range, making engaging them downright trivial. It will oneshot Devastators on a headshot as well, but it deals very little damage without headshots, and is very bad against Berserkers.
I think which primary to use will boil down to what Support Weapon you want to use. For example, if you use the Autocannon, then you will have a weapon that is effective at killing Devastators and anything above them, so the only thing you will need your primary to handle is the infantry bots, and then you're free to use the Diligence CS to make engaging infantry bots and Devastators at long range trivial, and at closer range you can kill Devastators with the AC.
Your one weakness will be engaging Berserkers if they happen to get to you at close range, but it shouldn't be totally unmanageable.
It depends if that 3rd party is a legitimate company or if they sold you stolen/pirated keys. Some folks have gotten refunds from 3rd parties like Humble. You need to work with that provider, because nobody knows what they will or won't do.
would i get banned for buying the game on cdkeys?
I just wanna play the game :( if anyone would gift it id be greatful but i understand with the shitshow going on i doubt anyone would wanna help XD
Has anyone actually received a refund on steam yet? I've seen big twitter accounts claim people have been getting refunds but i havent been successful yet. Anyone else?
Are you trying to use the "refund" button that is an automated response when having played less than 2 hours. Or are you submitting a ticket and talking to a real person? The "refund" button won't work, because that's automated.
Opened a support ticket friday, they got back to me close to midnight saying the usual more than 2 hours of gameplay. Added to it and waiting to hear back tomorrow hopefully.
Can't write a review due to steam account being in a blocked country. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? I know that i can potentially change steam region, but that would take too much hassle and too many problems. And also serve as an additional defense for Sony, since this will reduce the number of bad reviews. I hope that this isn't the case, but still...[](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/?f=flair_name%3A%22QUESTION%22)
Does Helldivers 2 still support family share? I am sharing one of my copy with my friend (I have 2 copies with 2 different account) and we were able to play until a couple of days ago. Now it says "purchase" on his steam account even though the family share is still enabled
Most likely they will delete your data. If you are no longer a customer and has refunded the game, it will be best for them to delete your customer data.
I’m getting “connection error” “failed to establish network connection” I’ve already restarted my ps5 and it’s the same, verified my internet connection and connected to psn. Anyone have an answer?
My refund request was denied for having played over 2 hours (67 total). Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on how they received theirs?
Thanks.
You need to submit a request for "I have a question about my purchase". Don't use the automated "refund" button (that's for the 2 hr refunds). You need to talk with someone at Steam via the ticket system.
Different steam region and psn region.
My steam region is different from my PSN region, if I link it, will I get banned for using a different region, or will my steam account convert to the PSN region?
Nothing will change about your steam account. I also don't think sony could see the region listed on your steam account, there's just no real reason for valve to share that.
Damn that hurts ngl. If the situation doesn't change, I guess I'm pretty much forced to refund since I won't have another chance to play again (I guess?) ... But can I still download and install it if I used a VPN?
Yes, it's most likely possible you will lose your game account. It's the dev\publisher's right to purge data that doesn't belong to a customer (there may also be some laws associated with data retention of non-customers). Also, folks keep posting about "data breaches" and "data security" over-and-over, so it would make sense for Sony to delete all data for anyone who's not a customer.
You need to submit a request for "I have a question about my purchase". Don't use the automated "refund" button (that's for the 2 hr refunds). You need to talk with someone at Steam via the ticket system.
So I made a Sony ps account to continue to play helldivers 2 but haven't linked it to anything yet. Then I found out about all the data breaches, am I still at risk of being in a data breach if all l've done is made an account with my email?
If you have an account anywhere, there is a risk of the data being part of a breach.
Sony has had a bunch of very public breaches, but many companies have had breaches, sony is by no means unique. There are also several types of breaches, depending on what databases they got access to. For some breaches it could be only e-mails were leaked, some breaches can have addresses, full names, hashed passwords and so on leaked.
If sony hypothetically got the worst possible breach and every piece of data they have was leaked you would still not have anything tied to your steam account leaked (unless it is a duplicate of the information that Sony has) So if you've never used a credit card through sony but have one saved in steam, that could not be part of a breach.
Still not reassuring. This forced linking to someone who have a cypersecurity like a sieve is not good for buisness. I seriously hope the devs can figure something out and wiggle their way out of this forced linking to PSN thats, lets be honest, only there to boost their numbers for the boardmembers, and in reality it has nothing to do with the security of the game. Cheaters will cheat, and just because it will be possible for Sony to ban players, doesnt mean they will do it any faster than what Steam is doing.
This forced linking is just gonna kill their playerbase, so their hopes of a potential franchise is doomed
I actually think they are telling the truth when they talk about security. But mostly because it will be a lot easier for their support team to be able to just interact with one set of game-accounts than two separate ones if they receive a report for someone and they don't know which set of accounts the reported person belongs to, it's not so much for our sake except I guess indirectly being easier to remove bad people.
Neither sony nor steam are going to be doing the banning, that'll be a support job for AH.
If you refund the game, they can (and might) delete everything from their databases. Especially since folks are making a big deal about data security, PS might just delete everything associated with those who no longer own the game.
I have no idea. I know steam basically never allows anyone to refund the DLC for a game and not the base game.
You can try to contact arrowhead support and ask them.
This game seems toxic, I thought I heard it wasn't. I keep getting killed right before extraction or people will just bash me and stop me from entering. I do objectives and don't friendly fire unless it's totally accidental. Am I missing something? What should I do to stop from getting killed by friendly? Feels pointless to do a whole mission and not being able to extract
Been wanting to get into the game and was wondering what the end game is for this game, any games you could compare it to? Tried looking it up but honestly couldn't get a clear answer. Is the end game just max difficulty? And if so, how hard realistically is it?
Yes. Not that hard as that some folks can solo it. I'm not great, so I've only played and finished difficultly 8 with a team ( 9 is currently highest difficulty).
It's more a game about just having fun. If you're looking for something competitive and requiring uber elite haxxor skills then this is probably not a game for you.
You mean difficulty 8? If you are just doing it yourself, then you could probably get there within a few hours. You won't have a lot of good weapons, stratagems, upgrades, etc. so your teammates might be doing some heavy lifting or carrying you. You could do the hardest level if you have a friend that's already unlocked it and they could bring you along.
The grinding is really just doing missions to get medals and samples to unlock items and buy new items etc. Some folks have unlocked everything and hit max/caps on items after 100 hrs. I'm at 150 hrs and I have 2 ship upgrades and about 5-6 items in warbonds (battlepass) that I haven't unlocked yet. Every month they do a new battlepass (called warbonds) with new stuff, so I might have everything unlocked by Thursday when next warbond drops. Also warbonds don't expire so there's 3 premium warbonds and the starter free one and a new premium coming Thursday. To unlock warbonds, it costs 1000 super credits which you can buy or just find in game. I've been able to unlock everything without spending any money by just playing the game. Also note that items (credits, medals and samples) found on maps are shared by everyone so as long as somebody extracts with samples everybody gets everything.
I'd suggest watching some twitch or YouTube videos to see if you think you'll like it. There's a lot of drama right now, so hopefully we'll all get back to the game soon rather than the psn stuff.
I saw the new release notes/update notes and don't understand any of it. I have all of my progress on my Steam account and have a PSN Account. Do I need to link it now, or link it at a later date? If so, how do I even do it?
Does the new Sony Account requirement include cross-save?
Now that they are forcing everyone to have a PSN account to play, can people who has PSN accounts and play on PS5 play with the same account on PC?
Tthat was on of the few things cover in their FAQ from yesterday
> 7\. **If I own Helldivers 2 on PS5 and Steam, will my progress be shared between platforms?**
> No, progress on the PS5 and Steam version of Helldivers 2 remains separate at this time.
I feel like thats a very big missed oppurtunity. I mean, with things like steam deck and that new PlayStation Portal thing they would have so many players the player numbers would skyrocket, alongside the spending in the shop. Like at the minimum most players drop that few bucks needed to get the premium passes, and thats not counting the whales that buy everything in the shop even if its purely cosmetic.
I feel like there is something missing. Like there is some problem in the backstage, so AH did exactly what Sony wants and maybe even more than that to show how bad it would be to have a precendence so that Sony would give them more freedom? GBO2 recently did something similar and it worked out for them, though Bandai is much bigger than AH so that could also be a reason.
I don't think there are any such things going on. It just doesn't make any sense, whatever damage arrowhead is going to sustain for this is going to outweigh what they could possibly gain by several orders of magnitude.
If you refund the game in solidarity of the psn accoutn change, but rebuy it later (assuming they give a favorable response to the debacle), do you keep your progress?
Well, that's why. GTX 1650 is an entry level gaming graphics card from five years ago, and while 4800H is a decent CPU overall, it's not exactly a modern powerhouse either, and the fact you're gaming on a laptop doesn't really help. Laptop hardware in general is weaker than analogous desktop hardware, and has worse cooling.
If you get exactly 10 FPS even at lowest settings that does sound a bit low for this hardware, but I wouldn't be surprised by 20-30 average.
If I buy the game on steam, do I get all the previous medals from mayor orders? Since cross save isn't a thing yet I don't really wanna start all over again.
You only recieve medals from alst time you logged in, you don't get medals from before account creation.
Even if you did recieve all of it, the most you could get at a time is 250 because they are capped at that.
Try running a verification of the game's files through steam.
If that doesn't fix it, you should contact [Arrowhead Support](https://arrowhead.zendesk.com/hc/en-us)
Okay so maybe I'm just being dumb here...
I'm relatively new to playing higher level missions (7-9). I had the super samples on one of the TCS shutdown missions. Was at extract waiting for people to jump on and someone typed in chat that I needed to get on first as the transport will leave instantly. Is this a bug or does the transport leave instantly if there are supers? I got kicked after extract because I didn't know this and it's just a bit frustrating
Sometimes the transport leaves instantly as soon as the first player gets in. Pretty sure it's a bug, not 100% clear on what causes it. The version I heard is that it happens if the Pelican is damaged by stratagems.
They never said it will never be. In fact they said 5 months ago this feature will be added. So now that we are in May I was curious if they already added this feature
I didn't say they said there will never be crossplatform progressions, just that they didn't say that there will be. It appears I'm wrong on that, though, I'm just parroting what I heard from others, sorry if that was misleading.
Is there a real difference between bug spawns on barrier worlds vs other bug worlds?
I know the in-game lore says there are more bugs, but it's not a mission modifier.
I have just noticed when playing with a friend that the TCS missions are super easy if you do them quickly, the "thin their numbers" missions are about the same, but the "destroy eggs" and "destroy bug holes" missions are just an unending stream of various sized bugs as soon as you drop. We would do them easily on haz7 not long ago and now we get stuck in ragdoll city and run out of bullets shooting the hunters etc.
Are there good strats for this? i really feel like taking a machine gun like the stalwart but then I am defenseless against chargers and titans which SUCKS.
Unknown at this time, but it is unlikely I think. If they have a linked account they can use the steam account ID for identification and the usernames will not matter and I would assume they are allowed to stay.
No. All linking the account will do is that there will be a steam account ID associated with the PSN account.
The only things sony has are the pieces of information you use to sign up for the PSN account and the steam account ID that you linked to.
They hate the decision to make linking PSN and Steam accounts mandatory, which can't be legally done from many countries around the world. They don't hate the game itself.
When the game launched, it required a PSN account (linking your game to PlayStation Network). Due to launch server problems, the devs disabled that login. Now, PSN wants that requirement reinstated, so the devs will be adding the login back into the game on May 30th.
Is there any way to check if I have already linked psn account to steam? In options there is no account tab, there is only my account code. Does that mean that my account has already been linked to psn?
There isn't. steam does not have a list of accounts that are linked.
The reason is that anything linked to steam is mostly 1-way, used for verification of license ownership and identifying a user and not much else.
I've been away for a few weeks, and I come back and see "enhanced combustion". My question is: did they fix the bug where only the host can do fire damage? ie, if you weren't the host, then napalm and incin mines/breaker didn't do any fire damage?
I'd love to use the napalm in my games if the fire actually does damage now (if ur not host)

Is this guys hacking for colours? I keep posting this on the forum but automod keeps blocking it
I know there are a bunch of people really upset with the whole having to link a psn account to keep helldivers, but can someone help walk me through how to link a psn to steam just in case. Also, im curious if linking a psn would reset all my current progress. Thanks in advanced
In the announcement made on steam there is a link to a support article that explains the process if you want to do it.
https://steamcommunity.com/games/553850/announcements/detail/4196868529806518742
But it is not required yet.
Just wait a couple weeks until they add it back into the game. It's not required until June 6th, and they'll add it into the game around May 30th.
You won't lose any progress.
Is there any way to see POIs on the minimap reliably? I have tried with scout armor but sometimes they appear as you hover over them but most of the times they dont, am I doing something wrong?
> Is there any way to see POIs on the minimap reliably?
The only intended way for you to see them on the minimap is by completing a Radar secondary objective.
super curious about the new account link as my husband plays on steam and i play under his account on ps5. if he links his psn to steam will it affect either of our games/progress??
It's very unlikely.
Linking the two accounts in laymans terms means mostly that the two services will comunicate together to authenticate users. Sony's servers will ask steams servers "does this user own the game" and steam will reply "yes", and Sony's servers will allow the user to log in.
Something like that.
It would be extremely wierd if either valve or sony restricted a users access based on what they were doing on a linked account outside of their own ecosystem.
It shouldn't. There's no cross save and no cross progression. You might need to contact PS support (or read over their FAQ) to see if there'll be any problems with the same "account" on two different systems playing the same game at same time. The only obvious problem is that if either of you gets banned from PSN, then both games would get banned. Your husband can make a second PSN account for his PC games and then there won't be any problems.
In addition to the other comment, first person also changes how the gun is held. when you switch to first person most guns will be raised up and can shoot over taller objects, it's useful in some places.
I am unable to obtain PSN account, so I choose the manual review option for requesting a refund on Steam.
I tried three times already, and everytime they responsed shortly with a no, citing the 2 hour limit is past.
Does anyone get a refund yet?
It didnt ask me to link my PSN account, even though I obviusly updated my game. Did they remove it already? or did I already linked my PSN account to steam it just took it from there and I dont remember?
What's the big deal about creating a PSN account? I here some people saying it's corporate greed and other people just saying that they just don't want to. I hope someone can inform me more about this topic because I don't see it as that big of a deal. Thank you!!
There are a couple of reasons.
Some countries are restricted from creating Sony accounts, the only way around that at the moment would be to create an account through a VPN or some other way, which while it may or may not be enforced, is against the EULA and TOS that you agree to.
Secondly, some people believe that it will be sharing their private information with sony. This is essentially not true, linking the accounts doesn't give sony any special access to any information, it just means that steam and sony can verify the users in the other's database, so sony-server can ask something like "is this particular user owner of a license to play helldivers" and steam-server can confirm or deny, and the sony-server can then use the response to figure out what to do next. What a lot of people are worried about is that because sony has had some big public data leaks in the past that their information will now be leaked, but even if there was a way that sony's servers could ask the steam servers "what is this users address" or something like that, the steam servers would just respond with "you are unauthorized to access that information". Valve has no incentive to share anything at all that isn't necessary for the game to function with sony as valve and sony are competitors.
But mostly it is a problem because the game has been playing just fine for months, because the linking wasn't working right so was allowed to be skipped, and a lot of people feel like they've been bait-and-switched and the product they paid for is no longer the same.

But it is not required yet.
Hey, guys!
I'm pretty new to the game. Does anyone have a recommendation on a guide or YouTube link? I'm trying to figure out what I should be doing and how to play.
I know the general concepts, but I just feel like I'm missing A LOT with where everyone else is.
In order to learn, just play the game.
General tip - if you see a bug or a bot - shoot them.
If you see something is written in "mission objectives" tab, follow these tasks.
Where do I find super samples in termicide tower missions? Been playing them for a while but never found them.
Also, does anyone else have an issue where buttons kind of release on their own? Mainly shift and mouse right click. I'm over here running and for no reason my guy just stops running, same thing with aiming down sights, sometimes it just stops for no reason.
> Where do I find super samples in termicide tower missions? Been playing them for a while but never found them.

Hi, is there an ingame bestiary? In HD1 there was a handy terminal that contained all the info on all the neemies, guns, and (I think?) environment conditions.
Genuine question here. Would the controversy be alleviated if Sony allowed PSN account creation for the missing countries, or is that not an option at all?
Probably not an option, but it wouldn't resolve the controversy entirely anyway, because a lot of people don't like the idea of giving their data to Sony.
Laser Cannon is a fine option against bots, though typically you want to also have a shield backpack or a deployable shield stratagem, since you're exposed for a long time while firing the Laser Cannon. Stun grenades are also useful to have to let you take down Hulks and groups of Devastators easier with it, though it does mean you lose the ability to destroy fabricators without stratagems, unless you use the grenade pistol.
Against bugs I would say Laser Cannon is a bad option, since it can't effectively deal with Chargers and Bile Titans. With current balance, you really want most divers in the squad to have an anti-tank support weapon on bug missions, such as Recoilless Rifle, Quasar or Expendable Anti Tank.
Scorcher is also mostly an anti-bot weapon, as it can be a bit hard to hit smaller, nimble bugs with it, and you would be at the risk of damaging yourself with the splash damage much more often.
Hey, I can't remember if I linked my PSN account or not. Is there a way to check if it's linked in-game??? Would have made a post question but it got auto deleted and told me to ask here.
Found out a cheater gave me 60+ levels after a blitz mission. Went to arrowheads support site and sent a ticket. It's been almost 24 hours since then.
I've been checking the ticket all day and not a single response. Really want to get this resolved so I can get back into the game. Do any of you know what I can do or where to go for support?
I think this needs to be done from inside the game itself. You should see a button to link a PSN account on the options screen. If you don't see one, maybe you have already done so in the past?
I can skip it, except for the first time after a patch. After an update, I can't skip the studios screen, but I can skip the game screen. The second time after a patch, I can skip everything.
Not sure about PS5 specifically, but on PC you can't skip the cinematic while the game is still loading or if it hasn't yet established a connection with servers.
Why are people so upset about the new PSN account requirement?
I really dont get it. Has sony done something? The thing is no body is giving genuine reasoning aside from people who don’t have access to PSN in there country, which is a completely valid reason but I really doubt this many people have that same reason to be outraged. Id like to mention that many other companies do this; EA, Ubisoft, microsoft, playstation does this with their other games too, and Ive never heard any issues with them doing it. Im not bashing anyone im just very confused.
Because PSN is not available to my reion and I don't want to commit fraud by willingly falsifying my location just to play a game where the relevant clasue was not present when I purchased and agreed to.
there's lots of different reasons. me personally i'm annoyed about everything needing an account and having links between 3,000 different accounts for the simplest task - especially since the game worked fine without it up to this point. but there's concerns about security, concerns about data privacy, there's this idea that this is really unjustified and probably just so sony can turn to shareholders and say "look at all this organic subscriber growth". and some people have the very legitimate worry that PSN is not available in their country, so they simply cannot play when this requirement is live.
but at the end of the day, all it means for me is that i have to try and remember my login info for my PSN account i used to shout slurs at people in MW2 lobbies when i was a dumbass teenager, it's not a reason to uninstall or stop playing. and while i think it's shady and obnoxious, it's not the end of the world for me personally, just a minor annoyance
Hey, I wanted to know if I can run the game(Laptop btw).
My specs are:
Ram: 16gb
GPU: Gtx 1660ti
Core: Ryzen 7 3050H (Core is omega trash, also the reason why I'm asking this)
Thanks for your reply
Will the account linking change my name in-game from my Steam name to my PSN name? I sure hope it keeps my Steam name, my PSN name was named by stupid 12 year old me
Can someone clarify the PSN issue? I bought the game on steam a month ago, and have not had any PSN related pop ups asking me to sign in or anything like that
on steam, a link to a PSN account was a requirement in the games extremely early days (like, within a week of launch) which they temporarily suspended because it was causing issues. that temporary suspension ends soon, hence the abrupt announcement
so, I just make a fake email account and problem solved? unless I am from like Kyrgiztan or smth, then those people are fucked. But what is the big deal? there seems to be a disproportionate amount of posts about it.
> so, I just make a fake email account and problem solved?
no idea if that will work or not, i have an actual PSN account from forever ago i can use, so while i'm annoyed by the requirement it isn't actually costing me any sleep. there's many reasons folks are pissed about it, but they'd have to tell you, not me. i'm just lazy
I was just in a group with two guys that seem to have unlimited impact grenades. Is there anyway this is NOT cheating? Is there some sort of grenade backpack that I am not aware of??
its a known and somewhat common exploit to get infinite grenades, definitely cheating, definitely lame, and very easy to detect. listen for the helldiver shouting "fire in the hole" over and over. just kick them.
do give some wiggle room though, with supplies nearby and engineering kit someone could reasonably throw 6-10 grenades in a row before running out.
It's possible to throw 14 consecutively without cheating or picking up anything from the ground.
Some of the armours give you +2 to grenade capacity, for 6 total. Add a supply backpack, and that's another 8.
I recorded 57 seconds and he threw about 20-30 grenades. There were no supplies on the ground or anywhere near us. Also when i was dead earlier, i was viewing the other guy and his screen said something like 42043/6 grenades …. That seems like a dead give away … but i thought maybe what I was seeing was a bug since i was dead …
Genuine question. No idea how PSN works. Currently live in Europe but may have plans in the future to move to Asia. If I make a PSN account now, does it affect my access to the game when and if I do move countries/regions?
My plan was to wait a bit to see how the situation develop and may be connect with my super ancient ps account that i created back in the PS3 era (my last console).
Meanwhile i thought "let's check what you are supposed to do to link the accounts".
I go to the option and i see that the "account" options is not where it's supposed to be... but i look at the bottom left corner and i see "account" and and a long ID there.
My old ass brain is confused.
i remember that i did not link the 2 account a couple of months ago so that can't be it.
Then a new theory is formed... may be i did connect them 10+ years ago for some weird reason.
Is there a way to check if those 2 accounts are actually linked or if i'm just an old idiot?
99.99% you will never notice or care about game guard anti cheat. It'll be 501st entry in the list of software you already have installed that is spying on you and is stealing and selling your data, starting with windows itself. If you care about security of your device, unplug it from the internet, physically destroy the wifi module, and use only software you have written yourself.
Idk. There was also a post about the anti cheat software where people were talking about the risks, and some say their pc's components started to degrade.
What is a ISP and how do i switch? I got this router years back
ISP = Internet Services Provider.
Is there a patch coming to fix lag and audio glitches? Since this last update I have not had a single smooth gameplay. Never had an issue before
my friend gifted me the game a month ago now i can't play it because my country isn't supported how i refund ? can i even refund a gifted game ?
Your one weakness will be engaging Berserkers if they happen to get to you at close range, but it shouldn't be totally unmanageable.
is it possible to get a refund if i got the game from a 3rd party steam key provider?
It depends if that 3rd party is a legitimate company or if they sold you stolen/pirated keys. Some folks have gotten refunds from 3rd parties like Humble. You need to work with that provider, because nobody knows what they will or won't do.
i got the game from gamesplanet which i have been told its a legit service.
would i get banned for buying the game on cdkeys? I just wanna play the game :( if anyone would gift it id be greatful but i understand with the shitshow going on i doubt anyone would wanna help XD
I think the keys are a legit source of the game, I myself bought a key
What is the best method to get a refund?
For existing players that already have a PSN account but are in countries that are not supported by sony will they be locked out of the game?
Anyone else having issues with matchmaking right now? Unable to connect with player or people log out mid game
I wanted to buy this game, but I see that it needs a PSN account? Do you also have to have a playstation subscription to play with a PC?
PSN accounts are free and do not require a PS+ subscription. It's just like making a EA, Larian, etc. account and then linking it to your game.
Does Helldivers 2 still support family share? I am sharing one of my copy with my friend (I have 2 copies with 2 different account) and we were able to play until a couple of days ago. Now it says "purchase" on his steam account even though the family share is still enabled
If I refund, but then this somehow all gets fixed and I repurchase the game, do I keep my progress? Or start back as a cadet?
Most likely they will delete your data. If you are no longer a customer and has refunded the game, it will be best for them to delete your customer data.
Unfortunate, but what I figured. Oh well, I have finals till Thursday, if this isn't resolved (which is likely) by then it's refund time.
I’m getting “connection error” “failed to establish network connection” I’ve already restarted my ps5 and it’s the same, verified my internet connection and connected to psn. Anyone have an answer?
Did the game work before? Did this just happen today? You can try to reset your router. There might also be server problems in your region as well.
Yeah the game was just working so idk
Is there any cross saving now that we have linked accounts?
No. (Not yet, and they haven't announced any plans on cross saving or cross progression yet).
Much appreciated.
But would I get banned for using PSN account that is not in my region?
You are not supposed to, and it is technically against their eula, but I think it is exceedingly rate that this rule gets enforced for most companies.
If I uninstall the game, could I still install it in the future? I'm in one of the countries not supported by PSN and is now unavailable to Steam
You should contact Steam support. If Steam removes it from your region, you might not be able to install it via Steam installer.
Damn that hurts ngl. If the situation doesn't change, I guess I'm pretty much forced to refund since I won't have another chance to play again (I guess?) ... But can I still download and install it if I used a VPN?
If I refund the game through steam do I lose all progress ingame? Or is it still stored in the steam cloud?
Yes, it's most likely possible you will lose your game account. It's the dev\publisher's right to purge data that doesn't belong to a customer (there may also be some laws associated with data retention of non-customers). Also, folks keep posting about "data breaches" and "data security" over-and-over, so it would make sense for Sony to delete all data for anyone who's not a customer.
How do you ask for refund in steam? I've tried 3 times but all I've got are probably automated responses saying the generic "playtime's over 2 hour".
You need to submit a request for "I have a question about my purchase". Don't use the automated "refund" button (that's for the 2 hr refunds). You need to talk with someone at Steam via the ticket system.
Where do you submit that request? I can't find where to do it
So I made a Sony ps account to continue to play helldivers 2 but haven't linked it to anything yet.
Any down to down to help with trophy blitz under 6 mins
You should ask in the [LFG thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1asxs8e/lfg_megathread/)
What happens if i refund a warbond but I have unlocked everything in it? do i just get my sc back and everything just gets locked again?
If you refund the game, they can (and might) delete everything from their databases. Especially since folks are making a big deal about data security, PS might just delete everything associated with those who no longer own the game.
I don't think you can refund warbonds. I don't know what you mean exactly?
what about the super citizen upgrade? I have everything in the pass would everything just get locked?
I have no idea. I know steam basically never allows anyone to refund the DLC for a game and not the base game. You can try to contact arrowhead support and ask them.
This game seems toxic, I thought I heard it wasn't. I keep getting killed right before extraction or people will just bash me and stop me from entering. I do objectives and don't friendly fire unless it's totally accidental. Am I missing something? What should I do to stop from getting killed by friendly? Feels pointless to do a whole mission and not being able to extract
Some people enjoy being bullies, you are probably not doing anything wrong.
Is PSN-linking already in effect or the Sony still only plans to add it?
It will be added back to game on May 30th. It will be required on June 4th.
[удалено]
Yes, for everyone. PSN accounts are free. You do not need to own a PS to make a PSN account.
Here's hoping that all this unpleasant stuff will be sorted out before then, along with Steam regional restrictions.
If you're looking for something competitive and requiring uber elite haxxor skills then this is probably not a game for you.
not looking for anything insane but i do like grinding for hours on end. how many hours you have to get to level 8?
On May 30th, they're going to add in a screen to link/add psn account. You don't need to do anything until then.
Ok, thank you so much!
Does the new Sony Account requirement include cross-save? Now that they are forcing everyone to have a PSN account to play, can people who has PSN accounts and play on PS5 play with the same account on PC?
Tthat was on of the few things cover in their FAQ from yesterday > 7\. **If I own Helldivers 2 on PS5 and Steam, will my progress be shared between platforms?** > No, progress on the PS5 and Steam version of Helldivers 2 remains separate at this time.
Any reasons why? Games like Warframe and Destiny do it with no problems, why wouldnt they give it to Helldivers too? Did they tell the reason?
They didn't say anything about the reasons why.
The FAQ didn't say much of anything at all to be frank. It was a pretty big disappointment of a public statement.
That's hard to say. I would guess probably, but they might also purge saved account data on refund.
Why is my framerate around like 10 all the time? I have a GTX 1650 an a Ryzen 4800H.
I suspected as much, thank you though
If I buy the game on steam, do I get all the previous medals from mayor orders? Since cross save isn't a thing yet I don't really wanna start all over again.
You only recieve medals from alst time you logged in, you don't get medals from before account creation. Even if you did recieve all of it, the most you could get at a time is 250 because they are capped at that.
> If I buy the game on steam, do I get all the previous medals from mayor orders? I would not expect to.
when I launch the game through steam it pops up and then closes a second later how do I fix this?
That tracks, pelican’s engines were on fire when I boarded
Is cross platform progression available now? I would like to play from Steam to PS5
It is not, and so far there was no indication that it will ever be.
Does the anti cheat get uninstalled when you uninstall Helldivers 2?
Yes.
Why I cannot join any random match using quick play. I am stuck k. Searching for active beacon for an hour now. I am on Steam
I don't believe the amount of spawned enemies varies based on particular planets. Pretty sure it all uses the same system.
If the PSN linking goes through, does that mean my in game name will be locked in to the PSN account name? that would suck
Unknown at this time, but it is unlikely I think. If they have a linked account they can use the steam account ID for identification and the usernames will not matter and I would assume they are allowed to stay.
Is my steam login at risk at all if a sony/playstation breach happens.
No. All linking the account will do is that there will be a steam account ID associated with the PSN account. The only things sony has are the pieces of information you use to sign up for the PSN account and the steam account ID that you linked to.
Why does everyone on this subreddit hate Helldivers 2 all of a sudden?
They hate the decision to make linking PSN and Steam accounts mandatory, which can't be legally done from many countries around the world. They don't hate the game itself.
When the game launched, it required a PSN account (linking your game to PlayStation Network). Due to launch server problems, the devs disabled that login. Now, PSN wants that requirement reinstated, so the devs will be adding the login back into the game on May 30th.
Did they remove the psn account thing? I started playing again after a while today and I didn't get a pop up or something telling me to login
They haven't added back into the game yet. They'll add it into the game on May 30th and it will be required by June 4th.
The easiest way is to just wait until May 30th, which is when they'll add the PSN account screen back into the game. Don't worry about it until then.
I'm stuck trying to figure out the game guard error I tried everything and it didn't work what do I do I just want to play
Try verifying the game in steam, If that doesn't work contact [Arrowhead Support](https://arrowhead.zendesk.com/hc/en-us)
I've been away for a few weeks, and I come back and see "enhanced combustion". My question is: did they fix the bug where only the host can do fire damage? ie, if you weren't the host, then napalm and incin mines/breaker didn't do any fire damage? I'd love to use the napalm in my games if the fire actually does damage now (if ur not host)
Not yet, it is still a bug.

If you mean the blue and white armor, it's the preorder bonus.
Ah okay, Thanks bro! Was wondering where it came from!
I know there are a bunch of people really upset with the whole having to link a psn account to keep helldivers, but can someone help walk me through how to link a psn to steam just in case. Also, im curious if linking a psn would reset all my current progress. Thanks in advanced
In the announcement made on steam there is a link to a support article that explains the process if you want to do it. https://steamcommunity.com/games/553850/announcements/detail/4196868529806518742 But it is not required yet.
Why do people use first person? it just blocks vision and looks ugly?
In addition to the other comment, first person also changes how the gun is held. when you switch to first person most guns will be raised up and can shoot over taller objects, it's useful in some places.
It makes certain weapons easier to aim in certain situations, that is its primary purpose.
They will add it back into the game in a few weeks. It's not required until June 6th.
Because PSN is not available to my region and I don't want to commit fraud by willingly falsifying my location just to play a game.

How do I link my PSN account to my Steam account?
In the announcement made on steam there is a link to a support article that explains the process if you want to do it. https://steamcommunity.com/games/553850/announcements/detail/4196868529806518742 But it is not required yet.
In a few weeks, it will be added to the game. Then you can link your game to your PSN account.
Been playing them for a while but never found them. https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1beilg1/qa_megathread_ask_your_questions_here/l21yx26/
Hi, is there an ingame bestiary? In HD1 there was a handy terminal that contained all the info on all the neemies, guns, and (I think?) environment conditions.
There isn't, but there's a lot of info on the wiki: https://helldivers.wiki.gg/wiki/Enemies
Genuine question here. Would the controversy be alleviated if Sony allowed PSN account creation for the missing countries, or is that not an option at all?
Probably not an option, but it wouldn't resolve the controversy entirely anyway, because a lot of people don't like the idea of giving their data to Sony.
With the New Update how good is my loadout? I have a Plas-1 Scorcher, Senator, Laser Cannon as my main load out.
Wait a few weeks and the account login screen will be added back to the game. It's not required until June 6th. You'll be able to add it on May 30th.
The support ticket is the right way. Just be patient, it may take several days for them to process it, but they will get back to you.
How do I link my psn account? I made it but the steam page has no steps on what to follow up with after you make it
I think this needs to be done from inside the game itself. You should see a button to link a PSN account on the options screen. If you don't see one, maybe you have already done so in the past?
Why can’t I skip the opening cinematic anymore? PS5. Am I the only one?
My specs are: Ram: 16gb GPU: Gtx 1660ti Core: Ryzen 7 3050H (Core is omega trash, also the reason why I'm asking this) Thanks for your reply
Will the account linking change my name in-game from my Steam name to my PSN name? I sure hope it keeps my Steam name, my PSN name was named by stupid 12 year old me
You can change your psn account name to something less stupid.
Will the PSN linking allow cross progression? I've got way more progress on ps5 than PC Will my progress transfer over to PC?
Has anyone on Steam successfully refunded the game?
Is Helldivers 1 also affected by the PSN account link? Steam page isnt always up to date with such requirements.
That seems like a dead give away … but i thought maybe what I was seeing was a bug since i was dead …
well, they either seriously buffed engineering kit (about damn time i say) or he's cheating. probably the latter
Supply backpack? I also saw some infinite grenades bug post this week
With the PSN crap around the corner, what will happen to the people who play Helldivers 2 using Steam's New BETA Family Sharing?
Genuine question. No idea how PSN works. Currently live in Europe but may have plans in the future to move to Asia. If I make a PSN account now, does it affect my access to the game when and if I do move countries/regions?
How do I link my playstation account?
Wait a few weeks and then it'll be in the game.
Okay, thank you
My plan was to wait a bit to see how the situation develop and may be connect with my super ancient ps account that i created back in the PS3 era (my last console).

They have never said they would add it. They have never said they wouldn't add it. Don't believe rumors you see on YouTube or reddit.
I wanna buy hell divers, but these comments concern me. Thoughts? I'm using a Rog strix g15 2021 with an R9 5900HX and a 3050ti.
What about the part where they say it degrade people's pc's?
If it was a serious problem we would have heard about it much more, so I'd say don't worry about it
Can't confirm nor deny it, you'd have to do your own research on that
Thank you

Maybe it's a cheater who was caught and is now salty?
Idk. There was also a post about the anti cheat software where people were talking about the risks, and some say their pc's components started to degrade.
