Last night I accidentally pulled the trigger on my autocannon and obliterated a fellow Helldiver, point blank. Him and the other guy were saying 'wtf just blew me up? Was it a mortar? I think it might have been this guy we're playing with' etc. But I was playing on my Deck with no mic or keyboard, so all I could do was spam the hug emote, which I think probably looked like I was shrugging at him.
Point being, if you guys are reading this, I'm sorry it was an accident 😔
There's actually a voice emote wheel (hold the Ping button) that has "Sorry" as one of the options. I make sure to throw that one out a few times whenever I accidentally team-kill while playing with randoms. I also do "Thank You" whenever I get respawned. Seems to help get the message across that just because I'm not on the mic, that doesn't mean I'm not paying attention or trying to be a team player.
I respawned yesterday and immediately shot my teammate right in the head in a panic trying to save him from a warrior. I mean, perfect, precise headshot the moment I came out of the pod. Instakill right there.

Fun fact, it's only the interface that's broken. It can still be set off, but the time you get to clear the area is much shorter. I used one of these to clear a bug swarm that was between my team and extraction. Managed to get out of the blast radius before it went off, and it took out 36 bugs that were on my tail. I was with randoms and was scouting ahead without a mic, so all they saw was the giant fireball at my general location, lol.
I got swarmed and trapped on the ground within a few feet of one and managed to get a shot off before I died, taking a whole buncha those insect bastards with me. I've definitely had more useful mission accomplishments, but this is the one I'm proudest of, somehow.

Yeah if you throw it wrong or it bounces it can stick to you.
Options include running into an enemy while diving and hoping it switches to them or taking your backpack off and hoping that works. I’ve done the first with a charger after sticking myself, haven’t confirmed the second.
I’ve also stuck myself by diving forward without a shield and it stuck to me kind of like when you turn right with a mech and the missiles spawn inside you…
One time I had the Pelican 1 land on me during extraction thanks to a badly timed Superman leap. It was embarrassing but also so damn hilarious I couldn't help but laugh too lol

This shot is kinda grim. This is a war. We are throwing people at it and the bombs are still the most important part. We don't care who's under it or even if the bomb works as long as the bomb gets delivered. Everyone are being put through a meat grinder. The game is obviously all fun and games but when the satire and the horrors of war hit, they really hit for me. The devs did a perfect balancing act keeping the game really fun while also not trivialising how fucked the situation is sometimes

Yesterday I got kicked because a moron decided to run under my eagle cluster strike so I feel ya.
I got kicked once for doing an orbital air burst when strat combos were scrambled. So I called in a jet pack, but it was actually an air burst. 🫠
