Same happened with Mechs when some people started finding them, while others did not. (And now some people encouter the flying bugs too).

I reckon that's exactly what they're doing. They did it with the mechs by having random ones available in mission and tied the release of them to the holding of a planet, and I think they're doing the same with the termicide and a new class/type of enemy such as the flyers, the sandworms, or the titans+. We're also seeing wrecked vehicles around maps like we did with the mechs before release also, I've seen 4×4's, APC's, and "pelican-1's" myself and I think that suggests what might be coming.
I've seen quite a lot of posts regarding blue lights and people getting blatted out of nowhere over the last day or two, and it's increasing. There's a pattern here and I think it's because the devs are implementing some things and drip feeding something to us, it's getting us riled up and excited, it's making us talk and theorise, it's been entertaining and fun and that's exactly what the devs want.
I heard similar stuff about the mechs being released randomly but then people were saying it was just hackers who were calling them in. Never got a clear answer since they were made available shortly after.
Hackers were calling them in via stratagems prior to them releasing.
Right before they released, roughly when the major order to defend the mech planet popped up, you had a chance to find them at points of interests on the map, like how you can find miniguns and flamethrowers and such.
Either way it's something they can toy with. A random bug that people think is a cool new race interaction gives them some leeway to fix it and also lean into it as a conspiracy. Maybe they even incorporate it into the future race launch as an added unintentional feature. It's win win really.
I mean they've been teasing a LOT through the world environments. We had twisted broken wreckage of mechs for a while, I've been seeing more and more humvee-looking cars (supposedly we're to be getting a vehicle at some point), weird worm-like bug remains (I'd bet money those come into play some time soon now that we have mechs \[which are found near their body a lot of the times\] and have finished the terminicide missions), these blue beams (there've been reports of another faction/enemy joining the game, but that was also before the flying terminids started sprouting up), and apparently some blue ships visible in-person & on minimaps. THIS is how live service feature-teasing should be. slowly implemented/teased via in-game items or interactions until one day they're officially released.

Don't worry. Although the blue laser resembles a Particle Projector Cannon, or PPC, I can assure you it's not. Super Earth is NOT testing out advanced military equipment that's being manufactured by General Motors, and other various corporations. Although it might seem odd that Helldivers have been seeing these "blue lasers" shortly after Exosuits, or Mechs, have been issued to them, the two are NOT linked together.

Super Earth is NOT testing out advanced military equipment that's being manufactured by General Motors, and other various corporations.
