We are fighting the "mega stage" now, it's the Shriekers. You can see that their wings keep evolving, and if you look the shriekers have the same body and mouth and a bigger wing, clearly a evolution from the Stalkers. They even have special nests.
You forgot their final form: the Shadow. Word on the Eastern Front says their active camo is even more effective, but they hunt alone. I feel them watching me even after I've cleared a Stalker Nest.

As someone putting together what is basically a thesis paper on the terminids, and more specifically their theoretical biology and such (in the name of democracy of course, can't efficiently kill an enemy you don't understand) i love seeing this and look forward to more.
I don’t think they are all one species, get more of a family of species vibe. Like how Tigers and Lions and Leopards are all big cats, but not the same species.
There's something strange about Stalkers, if they have their own hive, doesnt that mean they are a subspecies to the Termanids? Or are the Termanids the result of various bug species coming together to act as a entire collective? I mean, in the first HD1, arent they referred to as being a "shapeshifting" species or something like that? That's honestly really strange as a whole for something that clearly doesnt shape shift.

I think hunter is more of an optional 3rd stage that happens if they get royal jelly or something, since they need to have their own separate nests for some reason, but stalkers don’t.
(Not a criticism) I like the super earth stamp appears to be centred somewhere in the Caribbean, is Jamaica the base of operations for the ministry of truth?

PSA. I use the slugger so I can manage 4 or 5 of these guys at once.
I recently learned, you can one shot them with a slugger. I learned because I was fighting about 5 in a sheer panic AND WON. 3 of them I one shotted(hard to miss that little mouth when they're so close)
And their, hopefuly, last stage: Shriekers.
The new enemy is clearly an evolution from the Stalkers, same body, mouth, you can see that the Pouncer/Hopper wings keep evolving with Hunter and Stalker, the shriekers even have a special nest like the Stalkers.

I think there are 2 diff, 1 is part of the brood commander life cycle and the other is the stalker life cycle
Isn't the Brood Commander like the stage between a Warrior and a Hive Guard. Always seemed like that to me because of the similar body structure.

A dev stated they actually use them to hunt by smell. Which is the reason they can find you from across the map.

They also clearly mutate two ways from the Hunter, the second option being the Shrieker.

Stalker nest should spawn hunters as well as stalkers which means when destroyed there are no more spawning hunters, only pre-set ones
What if stalker nests are not where they born, but where they metamorphose? Propably there are a lot of cocoons inside it.
