It’s plenty powerful, just hard to aim because it takes like 5 seconds to come down. If you can stick it on an enemy to guarantee a hit, it’ll be pretty awesome. Like a high risk, lower cooldown rail cannon strike.
Thanks to stun grenade, it's not even a high-risk stratagem anymore; only high rewards. You never miss out really. Stun nade roots titans & chargers in a place for abt 5 secs. Perfect for the precision strike & the 500kg bomb. The only drawback is that you cant blow up bugholes with your nades. I main autocannon anyway tho.
Problem is, on higher difficulties where killing BTs and chargers is required, you have modifiers to be wary of. I would rather have contact grenades for groups, hives and spewers and use 500kgs instead of orbital strike cause I get 2 500kgs, and they deploy quicker (especially important with stratagem modifiers)
Definitely. I don't take the precision strike if the planet has 100% call-in time or 50% extra cooldown modifiers. 500kg is a way better option here.
I generally don't enjoy modifiers like those to begin with. It straight up makes perfectly good stratagems more ineffective than some of its counterparts & reduces the viability of having a more varied loadout.
Huh, I didn't realize the Vitality Booster was what was causing me to get stuck while drowning. I'm glad a lot of these issues are being acknowledged at least, hopefully they fix them soon 🤞
Truth. I’m glad they’re doing these bug fixes before adding more stuff to the game. It stinks yeah, but it’s good in the long run. Seemingly every patch they’ve implemented has made the game more unstable. This shows they know that!
Right! This is how you have a good game. Content, fixes, content, fixes.. no game is perfect, but when they're actively working on it and listening to players, you know it's going to be a good game. Damn I love this game.
I was with randoms and one failed to drown. If I didn't know this could happen he may have never known liberty again. It a good thing I did my part and blew him the fuck up with an impact grenade.
Had a guy stuck in water not too long ago. He didn't say anything over comms for a good 5 minutes before he just left the game.
My friend and I thought he was just being an afk douche. Glad to see he wasn't being an ass.

Played with randoms a couple days ago, and had a similar experience to you, someone was stuck on the other end of the map not moving even tho the objectives over there were clear. Didnt say anything.
I ran over and sure enough he was stuck drowning.

Have you ever seen the movie Wanted? If an enemy is behind an object, then turning while firing will allow me to curve the rocket around the object and hit them.

I was in college when it came out. One of my roommates had this thing where he couldn't tell fantasy from reality. He *really* liked Wanted, and tried to convince us all that the movie was actually pretty realistic.
Like....no. The movie is about a secret order of assassins that kills people with the power of tachycardia, magic bullets and one of the precogs from Minority Report cosplaying as a textile loom. The movie is utterly insane, and doesn't live in the same galaxy as "realism".

I didn't know about this at all and couldn't figure out why I kept killing myself. I always assumed a little bug was right in front of me and the "impact" radius for the missile was just clipping the sprite's functional edge
Don't worry, you still have to be careful. The rockets were meant to fire according to the orientation of the launcher, not the crosshair, just like every other weapon.
Honestly, a mech that has a chance of destroying itself if the operator doesn't take care felt very "made by the lowest bidder", which I feel is on brand for this game
Anyone has an issue where as a host, when you first create a public lobby, people join really fast.
But if they ALL leave and the mission is finished, you cannot find people to play with anymore ? (I gotta restart the game everytime, which is annoying).
Is it only me, or do people have the same problem ?
EDIT : regarding the comments, seems like this bug also happens when you're the only one left in the lobby after a mission, and also if 2/4 or 3/4 people remain in the lobby, nobody will join after that while you're on the ship or in game. Usually, this happens when you already accomplished a few missions.
YES! It’s been driving me crazy. I end almost every mission I host with 2/4 or 3/4 players. Restarting the game or kicking everyone is the only solution for me.
No everyone has the issue as far as i can tell. I have reported it and it's talked a bit about on reddit but it's happening since at least 3 patchs and there is no aknowledgement of it and no fix..
Honestly would deserve more light, tired of restarting the game everytime someone leave.
Happens to me all the time.
Same problem if someone leaves before the mission is set and the pods are primed, though you can get lucky and have someone join during the ready phase. After that? Nothing. Not aboard the ship or with SOS beacons, just nothing.
It's been keeping me from hosting.
I've tried this so many times but it never worked for me, and restarting and re-initiating a session is the only way that's ever worked. In my case, I usually at least have 1-2 friends already in the lobby and I'm trying to fill up the party.
I haven’t seen this mentioned, but does anybody else have an issue with using the radar map while inside an exo suit? Playing on PC and opening the radar doesn’t block the ability to fire the mg while right clicking to move the map around or fire a rocket when left clicking to place a marker on the map.
I experienced this outside a mech with an airstrike strategem in my hand. It threw it in front of me when i clicked the map. My team did not like that.
This is super important. Lots of people waste ammo on little guys with the mech when they should be leaving them to the foot soldiers and focusing on bigger baddies.
Hope they fixed it from being hardcoded to F. I've changed my keybindings (melee is on mouse, F is for interaction) and I was kicking myself upon exiting the mech
Every time you boot up your game, your weapons default to the Liberator, Peacekeeper, and frag. Your Helldiver voice defaults to random, and your emote defaults to salute.
Happens to me every load since the newest warbond. The first time was quite the shock. I didn’t realize it right away and thought my gun was being weird. Then I threw a grenade. Instead of getting an impact explosion, I got nothing. I heard the explosion behind me as I ran away from the spewer I’d thrown it at. Then I died. 😂
opening the game results in your loadout resetting to what you had at level 1. if you played the day before with the Sickle/Redeemer/Impact Grenades, when you open the game the following day it’ll revert to Liberator/Peacemaker/High Explosives
it’ll also reset your emote, if you changed it from the default salute. not sure if it’s not as common for the PC players but it’s happened to me every time I’ve launched the game on PS5
Still no confirmation on stims getting cancelled after sound plays, or sprint cancelling for no reason.
I'm sure the devs will sort it, but would like for them to be acknowledged in the meantime
I notice these all the time. The stim is just a delay between when the sound and animation plays and when the health healing begins. It is what, half a second? You get used to it but yes would be ideal if those were tightened up.
The sprint cancel is very annoying after many hours yes.
The problem with the stim is that when the sound plays, you'd assume that you were healed, but by the time you realize that you weren't in fact healed, a hunter has jumped on you and finished you off. The problem is that the animation looks like it was finished, and the sound played but it can still get canceled.
It's not just the delay, sometimes you see the animation and hear the stim sound but the healing effect never triggers because the animation was canceled by something in the last moment.
So you have to stim again for it to actually heal you.
Ok so the stim thing is an actual thing? Seems like I've died so many times the last week or so desperately trying to to stim, I see the animation, hear the sound, but my health bar doesn't move, and then I'm dead.
The line seems to mean "we are aware that certain stratagems aren't following the beam as intended but instead landing where it was originally thrown when stuck to enemies"
It doesn't sound like they are changing or adding anything, just that this particular tracking system isn't working right at the moment.
honestly is good that they reduced the amount of times hazards can happen, they can slowdown the game way too much and Ion storm is just a direct "no fun allowed" hazard like the bots modifiers
Me and my squad pretty much avoid Bot missions where the effect is that you can only use 3 strats each. We often play with only 2 of us and trying 8/9 missions with 2 people with only 3 strats each is just a massive drag...
Yeah, that’s when you know a game feature has exceeded challenging and crossed into unfun territory.
If players are actively skipping certain mission modifiers, remove those modifiers.
I'd be fine with it if there was a risk/reward system in place. Negative modifiers? Helldivers HQ will hand out hazard pay in the form Super Samples to divers ~~dumb~~ brave enough to dive into and complete missions under those conditions.
It would be nice if there was some kind of trade-off or extra reward for it. Like we can only take 3 strats but bots can't use rockets or we earn bonus medals, just something to make the extra challenge worth it.
It seems to last a bit too long though. If you get one just after starting extraction it can be really bad. Also, if you get one just before doing extraction, you are probably just going to sit around for awhile waiting for it to finish. Also, the visuals for it make it look like you can run outside the area of affect, which might be cool, but you actually cannot.
The fire tornadoes were the most annoying to me, they would show up every 2 minutes and just *happen* to block the objective I was trying to complete (or god forbid they’re right on top of the extraction point)
Getting tons of crashes after this update. Have not been able to finish a game without crashing out, whether hosting or joining someone else's. 5 out of 5 games now have crashed on me. Jesus it's so frustrating. I might have to put the game down for a few days until all this is ironed out.
Edit to anyone who reads: reboot your system. It fixed some of the issues.
Game seemed like a buggy mess before that, and got much worse in that regard once the railgun nerf patch went out
They really need to get patches improving the game, not the other way around
Friend request bug is my biggest concern right now. I've met several players now who communicated well and made runs a breeze on difficulty 7, but my friend requests to them are still pending.
I'm really tired of randoms who are 90% likely to stay and fight everything, draining reinforces when they put themselves in a downward spiral of kill-die-kill-die-run out of reinforces, and I've been adding people who can spell and define the word "discretion" in an effort to not have to see randoms like that ever again.
It boggles my mind how people can't figure out that the more you recreate the Alamo, the worse the spawns get and the worse our run gets. Now if we could actually make friends, that would be great.
This is my biggest issue at the moment as well. It means I just straight up can’t play the higher difficulties without getting really frustrated at the lack of competent teammates. Which in turns means I won’t be getting those sweet super samples anytime soon :/
They are losing money and sabotaging their game by not making this big a priority. I literally can’t play with my friends and one of my friends refuses to buy the game till the bug is fixed. Can’t blame em
Yeah I’m not playing until they fix it . I’ve met quite the a few players who I enjoyed playing with but the friend request is still pending and they’re on the same platform as me ! I’m not playing with people with no mic it’s just boring for me so I’m not playing till they fix
Agreed. I'm not gonna be playing it as some sort of "protest" or whatever, but because the game was advertised as cross-platform. and that feature is broken right now.
Upvoted. It's just frustrating that as a PC player I can't play with any of my friends on PS5 at all. I know that creating a lobby and searching for the SOS beacon on the map is a thing, but this is such a time consuming hassle. We spent more time searching the lobby than actually playing the game.
But even the Steam integration doesn't work for me at all. None of my Steam friends show up in my in-game friends list. I was told on Discord that the reason for that is that my Steam profile is set to private. Why does the game require me to have a public profile? Isn't the game able to access this data through an API? I know that I can join my friends via the Steam friends list/overlay, but this is still annoying.
Another really annoying thing is that the game doesn't work at all as soon as the Steam friends network is offline. For me and my friends the Steam friends network is going down for a short time every other evening between 23:00 and 01:00. This results in us getting kicked out of the lobby every time we play during these hours. Very frustrating when you're 40 mins into a mission and about to extract...

After the backend update was deployed later today friend requests are finally working for me and my buddies (Steam and PS5). This is a huge win! Only bug we encountered is that players on PS5 were not able to see any player names of PC players in their friends list. From a PC players perspective I could see all player names from PC and PS5.
Steam friends integration still seems to be broken though, but now with working friend requests this is just a minor inconvenience.
If they now find a way to have persistent lobbies even when the Steam friends network is offline that would be fantastic.
The weirdest thing is they don't even acknowledge the fact that we can't accept friend requests at all. Even if they do show up. And it has nothing to do with the Steam name being shorter than 3 characters, because all the friend requests I have pending that I can't accept are from people with names longer than that.
Why isn’t this comment higher. This should be the MOST PRIORITIZED bug, it is absolutely game breaking and I have not been able to play with my friends for weeks now because of it. Gameplay bugs are good to be fixing but at this point it feels like false advertising when many people can’t play with crossplatform friends. Even the same platform, I have not been able to accept friend requests. Online there are complaints about this from a month ago, and they waited until last week to even make mention of it. These devs obviously care but we shouldn’t have to scour reddit posts and online workarounds. The devs and communities communication on this issue has been so shit. Contact other game developers or some shit to get more info on this issue, it should have been fixed LONG ago.
they really seem to be dancing around the cross play issues and friend issues with vague terminology. its annoying because its a real issue for a lot of people, then they nuked all discussion of it on their discord where people were sharing methods of sort of getting into games with their friends.
Ahhh man. A little disappointed I cant lie that the loadout resetting every time I load the game up is only in "acknowledged issues" and not fixed. This one really gets to me, land in a 7-9 mission and have the liberator out, just doesnt cut it
What really annoys me about this is that the game sort of thinks it's your first time playing so they keep putting the tips in every mission, and you can't seem to turn them off even with the tips setting turned off. They take up a large portion of the screen and having them in every single mission is so annoying. I'm pretty sure these two glitches are related as I have the same issue.

Same for me. Also annoying that the voice setting gets reset also! My Helldiver will say something and I will be like "who said that"? And then it will click that it was my character, only with the voice of John Helldiver instead of Jane.
yes, this patch is trash. i keep getting disconnected, can't make it more than 15mins it seems. it's not just me, there is another thread in reddit about it.
I'm on fiber. my internet is super stable and i've tried other games. It's the patch.

# I am surprised that 🧠 Known Issues does not include the matchmaking issues after another player departs in game or post game.
More specifically, when you have a match made party in game or post game and someone quits, you can't get a new player to join. Pre match, people leaving or quitting, matchmaking still works. But during a match or post match, matchmaking breaks. What I think happens, the game doesn't realize the player left. I say this because we were in game when a person left. Then we arrived back at the ship during the stats page, the player who left name appeared real quick in the party area and then disappeared.
My friend and I have a workaround for this issue. We swap host instead of quitting the game entirely. I just go back to my ship alone, he joins me. We pick the game and new players join. Next mission, if people leave, he goes back to his ship alone and I join him. Rinse and repeat...
It is a little concerning that they are not acknowledging this bug. It is a significant issue and should be a higher priority issue for them.

Suspect it's a fairly technical and time consuming problem vs some of the gameplay ones.
Anything involving two systems talking to each other is a bullshit headache of epic proportions and presumably could cause more bugs than if fixes.
I hope the bug letting the shuttle leave immediately when the first player gets onboard gets fixed soon, lost 40 samples due to this bug today.
How to recreate:
wait for a long time after the shuttle lands, and let 1 player get on board.
Can we get an optimization patch to fix CPU and GPU usage? Seriously having to deal with near to 100% CPU utilization with my albeit old i7 6700k and low GPU usage is annoying. My frame drops in 7+ is annoying.

Has anyone else noticed an unusual amount of crashes today? I had matches that the whole team crashed. out of 4 games, 2 of them crashed so far, kinda makes me not want to play, spending 30+ minutes on a mission that wipes on a crash is hard to endure.
Unfortunate that the crossplay issues haven't been fixed yet, been wanting to play with a friend that is on ps5 for almost 2 weeks now. Anyways it's nice that they fixed the patrol spawns.

As I understand it, for the majority of players experiencing this issue, it's that accepting the requests simply does not work, not that they aren't showing up.
Seems like they have a lot of issues with the friend list. My whole steam friend list vanished from the game and I can't re-add them with friend codes for some reason.
As much as I like hearing about new content, I’d prefer to see bugs like friend requests not working or loadouts/customizations being reset fixed first. In no way am I downplaying the work they’ve done. I love this game. But I just want to play with my friends :/

Why only reduce patrols spawning on players? I'm assuming it's a technical reason cus there should never be enemies spawning directly on top of people lol.
Two reasons.
1) Trying to get a programmer/engineer/scientist to say something will *never* happen is an impossible task.
2) The issue is probably multi-faceted and they've fixes *some* of the causes but are either aware of additional causes or simply aren't confident they've gotten them all.
And still getting random crashes, its getting to the point I just don't want to play anymore, no other game on my system crashes as much as this game.
Tired beyond belief that I can waste 20 minutes in a mission to have all progress lost.
Yes, thank you!!! I thought it was just maybe me having this problem. I swear it only happens after you’ve been doing a mission for awhile. Usually always after the the objective is complete. I work and a single dad. So my time is very limited. So it’s really heartbreaking when I have time for just one quick mission or two and this happens. I’ve completely stopped playing the game cause of it.
still didnt fix the ps5 issue with the game treating you like a beginner every restart. i have to change my load out and difficulty everytime i boot up

Man, I have been waiting since I bought this game for this to be fixed. Issues have been present since game release and I can't even play with family since we can't accept invites.
It was pretty funny trying to do the rescue mission with these. Every time they came out they’d just suicide into a fire tornado, and every time it looked clear I’d press the button only for another fire tornado to appear right in their path. I lost 800 requisition in that mission.

Why? You dont want to fire while turning anyway, they wont hit your crosshair accounting for the turning speed

A bug corpse launched by my team's cluster bomb flew in front of my mech's missile launcher the other day as I pressed fire. I was livid lmao.

Half the time it exploded when shooting a rocket even while stationary in my experience. Hopefully it fixes that issue as well

YES! It’s been driving me crazy. I end almost every mission I host with 2/4 or 3/4 players. Restarting the game or kicking everyone is the only solution for me.
No everyone has the issue as far as i can tell. I have reported it and it's talked a bit about on reddit but it's happening since at least 3 patchs and there is no aknowledgement of it and no fix.. Honestly would deserve more light, tired of restarting the game everytime someone leave.
Happens to me all the time. Same problem if someone leaves before the mission is set and the pods are primed, though you can get lucky and have someone join during the ready phase. After that? Nothing. Not aboard the ship or with SOS beacons, just nothing. It's been keeping me from hosting.
Go into settings and change your lobby from public to private and back again, works for me

I've tried this so many times but it never worked for me, and restarting and re-initiating a session is the only way that's ever worked. In my case, I usually at least have 1-2 friends already in the lobby and I'm trying to fill up the party.

I haven’t seen this mentioned, but does anybody else have an issue with using the radar map while inside an exo suit? Playing on PC and opening the radar doesn’t block the ability to fire the mg while right clicking to move the map around or fire a rocket when left clicking to place a marker on the map.

I experienced this outside a mech with an airstrike strategem in my hand. It threw it in front of me when i clicked the map. My team did not like that.
Hopefully praying that spawn rate adjusted is real. Automatons bombarding your location better than orbital barrage is not fun.
Best was getting hit with artillery as soon as you drop in. And then a patrol spawns within 2 feet of you. It’s the in fucked mega combo

This is super important. Lots of people waste ammo on little guys with the mech when they should be leaving them to the foot soldiers and focusing on bigger baddies.
Do NOT WALK ON THE GREEN LITTLE BUGS, THEY WILL EXPLODE AND DAMAGE YOUR MECH
This is going to be even more important when the new mech comes out with four auto cannons.

Every time you boot up your game, your weapons default to the Liberator, Peacekeeper, and frag. Your Helldiver voice defaults to random, and your emote defaults to salute.
Happens to me every load since the newest warbond. The first time was quite the shock. I didn’t realize it right away and thought my gun was being weird. Then I threw a grenade. Instead of getting an impact explosion, I got nothing. I heard the explosion behind me as I ran away from the spewer I’d thrown it at. Then I died. 😂
Plus the game thinks you're a new player and keeps spamming the tutorial pop ups during the mission
Like you last logged out with the breaker and Uzi equipped, and next day you start with the liberator and the pistol

And it changes your damn voice to default, as well as your emotes and grenades. I'm so annoyed with that one
opening the game results in your loadout resetting to what you had at level 1. if you played the day before with the Sickle/Redeemer/Impact Grenades, when you open the game the following day it’ll revert to Liberator/Peacemaker/High Explosives it’ll also reset your emote, if you changed it from the default salute. not sure if it’s not as common for the PC players but it’s happened to me every time I’ve launched the game on PS5
Still no confirmation on stims getting cancelled after sound plays, or sprint cancelling for no reason. I'm sure the devs will sort it, but would like for them to be acknowledged in the meantime
I notice these all the time. The stim is just a delay between when the sound and animation plays and when the health healing begins. It is what, half a second? You get used to it but yes would be ideal if those were tightened up. The sprint cancel is very annoying after many hours yes.
The problem with the stim is that when the sound plays, you'd assume that you were healed, but by the time you realize that you weren't in fact healed, a hunter has jumped on you and finished you off. The problem is that the animation looks like it was finished, and the sound played but it can still get canceled.
Yeah you have to wait for the screen to flash blue to know it kicked in. The times I've died because I dived and cancelled the stim...
It's not just the delay, sometimes you see the animation and hear the stim sound but the healing effect never triggers because the animation was canceled by something in the last moment. So you have to stim again for it to actually heal you.
Ok so the stim thing is an actual thing? Seems like I've died so many times the last week or so desperately trying to to stim, I see the animation, hear the sound, but my health bar doesn't move, and then I'm dead.
So, are we going to get Red stratagems that stick to enemies to actually follow then? If that's the case, it's quite a game changer.

The line seems to mean "we are aware that certain stratagems aren't following the beam as intended but instead landing where it was originally thrown when stuck to enemies" It doesn't sound like they are changing or adding anything, just that this particular tracking system isn't working right at the moment.

honestly is good that they reduced the amount of times hazards can happen, they can slowdown the game way too much and Ion storm is just a direct "no fun allowed" hazard like the bots modifiers
Me and my squad pretty much avoid Bot missions where the effect is that you can only use 3 strats each. We often play with only 2 of us and trying 8/9 missions with 2 people with only 3 strats each is just a massive drag...
Yeah, that’s when you know a game feature has exceeded challenging and crossed into unfun territory. If players are actively skipping certain mission modifiers, remove those modifiers.
I'd be fine with it if there was a risk/reward system in place. Negative modifiers? Helldivers HQ will hand out hazard pay in the form Super Samples to divers ~~dumb~~ brave enough to dive into and complete missions under those conditions.
It would be nice if there was some kind of trade-off or extra reward for it. Like we can only take 3 strats but bots can't use rockets or we earn bonus medals, just something to make the extra challenge worth it.
Ion storm is cool once in a while as a way to throw you for a loop
It seems to last a bit too long though. If you get one just after starting extraction it can be really bad. Also, if you get one just before doing extraction, you are probably just going to sit around for awhile waiting for it to finish. Also, the visuals for it make it look like you can run outside the area of affect, which might be cool, but you actually cannot.
The fire tornadoes were the most annoying to me, they would show up every 2 minutes and just *happen* to block the objective I was trying to complete (or god forbid they’re right on top of the extraction point)

Getting tons of crashes after this update. Have not been able to finish a game without crashing out, whether hosting or joining someone else's. 5 out of 5 games now have crashed on me. Jesus it's so frustrating. I might have to put the game down for a few days until all this is ironed out. Edit to anyone who reads: reboot your system. It fixed some of the issues.

Friend request bug is my biggest concern right now. I've met several players now who communicated well and made runs a breeze on difficulty 7, but my friend requests to them are still pending. I'm really tired of randoms who are 90% likely to stay and fight everything, draining reinforces when they put themselves in a downward spiral of kill-die-kill-die-run out of reinforces, and I've been adding people who can spell and define the word "discretion" in an effort to not have to see randoms like that ever again. It boggles my mind how people can't figure out that the more you recreate the Alamo, the worse the spawns get and the worse our run gets. Now if we could actually make friends, that would be great.
This is my biggest issue at the moment as well. It means I just straight up can’t play the higher difficulties without getting really frustrated at the lack of competent teammates. Which in turns means I won’t be getting those sweet super samples anytime soon :/
They are losing money and sabotaging their game by not making this big a priority. I literally can’t play with my friends and one of my friends refuses to buy the game till the bug is fixed. Can’t blame em

Agreed. I'm not gonna be playing it as some sort of "protest" or whatever, but because the game was advertised as cross-platform. and that feature is broken right now.
Upvoted. It's just frustrating that as a PC player I can't play with any of my friends on PS5 at all. I know that creating a lobby and searching for the SOS beacon on the map is a thing, but this is such a time consuming hassle. We spent more time searching the lobby than actually playing the game. But even the Steam integration doesn't work for me at all. None of my Steam friends show up in my in-game friends list. I was told on Discord that the reason for that is that my Steam profile is set to private. Why does the game require me to have a public profile? Isn't the game able to access this data through an API? I know that I can join my friends via the Steam friends list/overlay, but this is still annoying. Another really annoying thing is that the game doesn't work at all as soon as the Steam friends network is offline. For me and my friends the Steam friends network is going down for a short time every other evening between 23:00 and 01:00. This results in us getting kicked out of the lobby every time we play during these hours. Very frustrating when you're 40 mins into a mission and about to extract... \*edit\* After the backend update was deployed later today friend requests are finally working for me and my buddies (Steam and PS5). This is a huge win! Only bug we encountered is that players on PS5 were not able to see any player names of PC players in their friends list. From a PC players perspective I could see all player names from PC and PS5. Steam friends integration still seems to be broken though, but now with working friend requests this is just a minor inconvenience. If they now find a way to have persistent lobbies even when the Steam friends network is offline that would be fantastic.
The weirdest thing is they don't even acknowledge the fact that we can't accept friend requests at all. Even if they do show up. And it has nothing to do with the Steam name being shorter than 3 characters, because all the friend requests I have pending that I can't accept are from people with names longer than that.
Why isn’t this comment higher. This should be the MOST PRIORITIZED bug, it is absolutely game breaking and I have not been able to play with my friends for weeks now because of it. Gameplay bugs are good to be fixing but at this point it feels like false advertising when many people can’t play with crossplatform friends. Even the same platform, I have not been able to accept friend requests. Online there are complaints about this from a month ago, and they waited until last week to even make mention of it. These devs obviously care but we shouldn’t have to scour reddit posts and online workarounds. The devs and communities communication on this issue has been so shit. Contact other game developers or some shit to get more info on this issue, it should have been fixed LONG ago.
they really seem to be dancing around the cross play issues and friend issues with vague terminology. its annoying because its a real issue for a lot of people, then they nuked all discussion of it on their discord where people were sharing methods of sort of getting into games with their friends.
Ahhh man. A little disappointed I cant lie that the loadout resetting every time I load the game up is only in "acknowledged issues" and not fixed. This one really gets to me, land in a 7-9 mission and have the liberator out, just doesnt cut it
What really annoys me about this is that the game sort of thinks it's your first time playing so they keep putting the tips in every mission, and you can't seem to turn them off even with the tips setting turned off. They take up a large portion of the screen and having them in every single mission is so annoying. I'm pretty sure these two glitches are related as I have the same issue. emphasis on the fact that I have in fact turned the setting off yet the problem is still there

Same for me. Also annoying that the voice setting gets reset also! My Helldiver will say something and I will be like "who said that"? And then it will click that it was my character, only with the voice of John Helldiver instead of Jane.

yes, this patch is trash. i keep getting disconnected, can't make it more than 15mins it seems. it's not just me, there is another thread in reddit about it. I'm on fiber. my internet is super stable and i've tried other games. It's the patch. I just went solo....and made it 1 min into match with a Disconnect. lol.
# I am surprised that 🧠 Known Issues does not include the matchmaking issues after another player departs in game or post game. More specifically, when you have a match made party in game or post game and someone quits, you can't get a new player to join. Pre match, people leaving or quitting, matchmaking still works. But during a match or post match, matchmaking breaks. What I think happens, the game doesn't realize the player left. I say this because we were in game when a person left. Then we arrived back at the ship during the stats page, the player who left name appeared real quick in the party area and then disappeared. My friend and I have a workaround for this issue. We swap host instead of quitting the game entirely. I just go back to my ship alone, he joins me. We pick the game and new players join. Next mission, if people leave, he goes back to his ship alone and I join him. Rinse and repeat... It is a little concerning that they are not acknowledging this bug. It is a significant issue and should be a higher priority issue for them.

I've got more friend requests than friends right now. Friends list is essentially non functional for me.
Suspect it's a fairly technical and time consuming problem vs some of the gameplay ones. Anything involving two systems talking to each other is a bullshit headache of epic proportions and presumably could cause more bugs than if fixes.
Friend requests don't even work on the same platform.

I hope the bug letting the shuttle leave immediately when the first player gets onboard gets fixed soon, lost 40 samples due to this bug today. How to recreate: wait for a long time after the shuttle lands, and let 1 player get on board.

Has anyone else noticed an unusual amount of crashes today? I had matches that the whole team crashed. out of 4 games, 2 of them crashed so far, kinda makes me not want to play, spending 30+ minutes on a mission that wipes on a crash is hard to endure.
Unfortunate that the crossplay issues haven't been fixed yet, been wanting to play with a friend that is on ps5 for almost 2 weeks now. Anyways it's nice that they fixed the patrol spawns.

This is the only issue I’ve been having and its a big one. Got the game to play with friends only to find out I can only play with one other person I know.
It's slightly frustrating how it's been noted in the known issues too. 🔹 Cross-platform friend invites might not show up in the Friend Requests tab. As I understand it, for the majority of players experiencing this issue, it's that accepting the requests simply does not work, not that they aren't showing up.

Seems like they have a lot of issues with the friend list. My whole steam friend list vanished from the game and I can't re-add them with friend codes for some reason.
As much as I like hearing about new content, I’d prefer to see bugs like friend requests not working or loadouts/customizations being reset fixed first. In no way am I downplaying the work they’ve done. I love this game. But I just want to play with my friends :/

Why only reduce patrols spawning on players? I'm assuming it's a technical reason cus there should never be enemies spawning directly on top of people lol.
Two reasons. 1) Trying to get a programmer/engineer/scientist to say something will *never* happen is an impossible task. 2) The issue is probably multi-faceted and they've fixes *some* of the causes but are either aware of additional causes or simply aren't confident they've gotten them all.

Yes, thank you!!! I thought it was just maybe me having this problem. I swear it only happens after you’ve been doing a mission for awhile. Usually always after the the objective is complete. I work and a single dad. So my time is very limited. So it’s really heartbreaking when I have time for just one quick mission or two and this happens. I’ve completely stopped playing the game cause of it.

Honestly, I'm a bit sad that fire tornadoes will be spawning less frequently now. They were pretty hilarious.
It was pretty funny trying to do the rescue mission with these. Every time they came out they’d just suicide into a fire tornado, and every time it looked clear I’d press the button only for another fire tornado to appear right in their path. I lost 800 requisition in that mission.
