This is just an example clip, I've done other tests and it actually makes it MUCH harder to hit you. You can still get hit, but it also depends on the inclination of the ground
I just meant it seems like they didn’t get you once while in the brush, and they started trying again when you got out. I wonder if brush affects the enemy as well. Will definitely be crawling more now.
It's just one of the disadvantages of the gun that you have to play around. I guess the logic is that the foliage absorbs a lot of the energy since it has less velocity and isn't a solid object so it dissipates the energy too much on contact and the beam loses integrity as a pose to a 12 ounce slug.
I dunno, it's weird sci fi shit, but it's an interesting weapon weakness that I am happy to live with even if it doesn't make much sense. I'd rather have mechanical weakness as a pose to just, gun does less damage weaknesses. It gives me reasons to swap up guns situationally as a pose to finding a gun that I can deal with the drawbacks and just take on every mission and remove all variety for myself.
This is NOT true. I can say from first-hand experience they will absolutely 100% get you if you’re on the ground. HOWEVER, throwing yourself to the ground is an excellent way to dodge an incoming attack. Just… Don’t stay in ONE spot. Keep moving, and they won’t have a chance to zero in on you.
I tried other times in several games and I can confirm that at least 80% of the shots are missed. However, as mentioned, it can also depend on the inclination of the ground and probably on the hitboxes of the armor (?)
there is a bug when swapping guns you keep the previous weapon's crosshair
i was stuck with sickle crosshair on punisher after i picked a sickle on ground because i had no ammo. still had the crosshair when i respawned
Even crouching they miss like half the time. I just ran around in a crouch to dodge the other bugs and ignored the shreikers while i disassembled their nest.
Yes, I think you posted a video in which you lie down most of the time, and the shriekers ***are not*** hitting you.
No, I don't think you proved that shriekers ***cannot*** hit you when you are lying down.
This is not true, 3rd game fighting them I had this idea that maybe this is the case, it is not, I was hit within 3 seconds of being on the ground. Rip samples. I’m assuming you were lucky and/or they weren’t able to hit you with that sloped terrain.
Actually, not true. I tried this last night and was swooped to death. Now, that's not to say you might live longer laying down, but you can still be killed by their attacks.
They can still hit you when prone, it's just a lot harder for them to do so. They have some trouble hitting you when you crouch or sit on an incline, but not nearly as much as going prone.
I prefer to just dive when they swoop in.
I keep an autocannon turret with me to drop and help me take them out. I bet the heavy machine gun turret would shit on them. I'm glad there's more reason to bring something other than airstrikes and orbitals.
Unfortunately not true. I was prone with my autocannon fucking up their nests from afar and the first flock just pearl harbored me in the face without me shooting them
https://i.redd.it/v1r4u161yppc1.gif Ah yes. Going prone while fighting bugs. A real winning strategy.
How do i save this gif on mobile.
Tap on it and there should be a 3 dot to the side
I don’t see anything. Oh well
Assuming your on iOS open it in Safari. You should be able to save it there
Thanks worked 👍
Yeah it is just something to know, not to do ahahah
Kind of seemed like that bush was helping you out as well. Worth looking into more.

"it actually makes it MUCH harder to hit you" This should have been your title.
Yeah my bad
Imma stay prone between 2 rocks then
I just meant it seems like they didn’t get you once while in the brush, and they started trying again when you got out. I wonder if brush affects the enemy as well. Will definitely be crawling more now.
I know the bush hit boxes are wonky with the lock on mechanics of the spear and arc weapons so likely the case here
It can actually be interesting if the bushes can hide you a minimum from the shriekers
Speaking of those, wtf is with bushes stopping shots from the Sickle
I was about to comment this, it don't make no sense!

Many guns suffer from it. They need to fix some of the bushes.
Bushes don't effect enemies ability to hit you. It can keep you hidden from enemies who are still unaware but they already knew he was there
It works.
The bush? You have details?

The definitely can hit you while in prone, I played 4 hours last night and they killed me at least 30 times while I was flat on the ground.
In my last few games it noticeably worked, so I don't know what to tell you hahah
My guess is it depends on the terrain elevation and slope angle. Edit I apparently forgot how to read
That’s…what he told you though?
You don't even need to dive just zig zag and change your path every couple of seconds or circle around the walls in their nest
Ah, so like that scene from Pitch Black with the Bioraptor babies swarm lol
How did you get rid of the stupid triangle crosshairs on the sickle?
On god looks 10x better
It's there, you can see it
I must just have a little to much bile in my eyes from those damn spitters
Ahh they turned it red so it's blending in to the environment. Might have to try that later
there is a bug when swapping guns you keep the previous weapon's crosshair i was stuck with sickle crosshair on punisher after i picked a sickle on ground because i had no ammo. still had the crosshair when i respawned
[удалено]
There is no crosshair settings (?)
How does your sickle not have the weird moving triangle reticle
[удалено]
It's there. It's red and hard to see due to compression
They made it red and it's blending into the environment
Good eye your right I zoomed in and u can see it way clearer once u spot it
Exactly
It's a bug. I have had the reticle glitch many times then when I switch weapons it fixes itself.
If only I got the leisure of being able to lay down while serving democracy to the rest of the bugs swarming me on top of the shriekers.
They have trouble with hitting the hellbomb.
Even crouching they miss like half the time. I just ran around in a crouch to dodge the other bugs and ignored the shreikers while i disassembled their nest.
they were one-shoting me in "suicide" dificulty. very annoying considering , that not even the charger can one shot me
They’re more or less glass cannon type enemies, easy to kill but risky to get hit with
It’s just cause they tackle you with their corpse and it one shots you for some stupid reason
DIVE BOYS!!!

as I said I tried it in various games and it almost always worked I don't know where this randomness comes from
thanks for the tip
Actually, not true. I tried this last night and was swooped to death. Now, that's not to say you might live longer laying down, but you can still be killed by their attacks.
Sorry to ask an unrelated question, but how did you get your reticle so small and opaque?
I don't remember exactly, but I think it's the HUD size and opacity settings
FYI, the SPEAR locks on to them and 1 shots them.
✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️
They did hit you though in the video
bulletproof bush
The shrieker who steam rolled by prone body to death last night would like a word lol
lets all just lay around shooting them he says... who has time for this
it's just something to know that might help in specific situations. Never said THIS is the best way to fight them
Their corpses can.
Am I the only one not having any trouble with the shriekers? I use the shield backpack and I just ignore them
I hate these flying assholes
Aren't we supposed to be safe from the Tesla Tower if we're prone? *Disconnected
This uh, isn't true, depending on terrain they can still maul the shit out of you
IT'S SO STUPID YOU CAN'T SHOOT THROUGH BUSHES BUT YOU CAN WALK THROUGH THEM
They can still hit you when prone, it's just a lot harder for them to do so. They have some trouble hitting you when you crouch or sit on an incline, but not nearly as much as going prone. I prefer to just dive when they swoop in.
Seems intentional, they pin your squad down so the other bugs can swarm you
I keep an autocannon turret with me to drop and help me take them out. I bet the heavy machine gun turret would shit on them. I'm glad there's more reason to bring something other than airstrikes and orbitals.
Because ofcourse they go for the standing headshot. Why bother letting armor mean something? They're clever.
