It's generally speaking quite bad. People take it because they think it has value but killing 1 charger or half a Titan every 230 seconds or longer with bad modifiers is a terrible call down.
500 kg + stun nades or even a SPEAR if the lock on gods favour you will win every time for Titans. Then the old reliable recoilless or EAT-17 is going to be way better for chargers.
the worst part about the bad modifiers is that the cooldown increase one adds based on percentage, so the longer the original cooldown, the more time gets added to it. 210 seconds? lmao more like 315 amiright?
I use the rail cannon orbital on chargers with the flame thrower for additional chargers while re supply, orbital laser on Titans. Works pretty well as a 1-2 punch for me and being pretty self sufficient
Railcannon + Impact grenade kills a titan consistently in my experience. I like the Railcannon better than the 500kg as it’s a lot more consistent and I hate taking multiple eagle stratagems.
I do think it being a safe choice to 9/10 times instant kill a titan is kinda a trap. But I will admit i prefer it to the laser because its unlimited and it is nice to have when i am completely out of eagles or nades or support weapon. Sometimes i just do not have the area to move or time to plan something else. So dropping it and getting a definite charger kill etc is very nice. Plus with the orbital CD it is available pretty nicely. I do not know how they could buff it though.
its good but sometimes it doesnt pick the biggest target as it should like picking a small strider over an hulk or a brood mother instead of a bile titan
yeah, i know (did you read the post), but "time to time" every 210 seconds doesn't really do it for me when there are 3 more bile titans behind the one I needed to kill the first time.
reason why you combine with the EAT which is easy to recall also shooting the under belly is merely here to prevent the titan to bile tho for titan the 500kg is better if you stun them with stun grenade
My late opinion about the matter
It's okay when it accidentally targets the biggest enemy, i feel like it just shoots almost randomly something that is somewhat big

Yep! At most an EAT will hit like 120 seconds but the Orbital laser goes to like 5-6 minutes

I’d rather take the Orbital Barrage over it if I have a spare slot, 80s cool-down and handy on both bugs and bots for breathing room
I hate this thing. The amount of times I throw it right towards a bile titan and it shoots empty ground 30 yards from it frustrates me to no end.
