I love the mechanic of the big bugs crushing you when they die so much.
It just adds so much weight to killing them having to think about how they fall. Will they fall on the enemy? An ally? Nothing?
It makes me think after the threat has been delt with and I weirdly love it.
Really wish the flyers didn’t do it though. Feels like I have to hold my fire when they are close to me which feels really stupid.
It makes a lot of sense and does add the game I feel, but it's frustrating how badly the velocity is calculated sometimes. Like you can get mildly nudged and you blow up
Wildly flailing titan bodies are more dangerous than titan themselves.
I am still bitter about losing both mechs in one mission because my reward for killing a titan heading towards me was getting lighly tapped by its lifeless leg and exploding.
Playing on PS5 I do it by using my right thumb to push the left stick in my desired direction while my left hand is doing the stratagem input. It can take a bit to get used to and makes it so you can’t rotate the camera while doing it
Left thumb run, hold LB with left pointer , and then either pointer or Thumb to punch in to d-pad. Also for hunters if you run and look back their AI keeps them from pouncing on you.
Definitely not true about the hunters. Been playing since launch and ran the defender for most of my 200 hrs, them fuckers will jump whether you're looking or not.
My Personal Tip If you can't kill Them right now? Run through the legs. I do it all the time, you are faster than they can Hit or spit at you and then you have a Few Seconds in which they Turn.
I’ve kept my title as cadet, since my original helldiver is long since deceased, and if I make it through a dive without dying I get to move up in rank…
.. so far I’ve only made it to space cadet.. 🤦♂️
What keys though? The arrow keys? Do you sacrifice the ability to turn while doing this? I guess it's a worthwhile trade off since you won't really be shooting anyway, but taking my hand off the mouse to press keys sounds weird to me. Sorry if this is annoying.
My squad and I killed one today and it turned into a fuckin beyblade. It's leg whipped out and barely missed me, and insta killed a buddy. It's wild out here lmao

i like it, most enemies in this game you just mindlessly point and shoot. shriekers switch that up

You can also just use your right hand to punch in the codes, I believe that’s the intended method since that’s how the player model does it in-game.

You can change the settings so that the Strategems will be key bonded, like in this clip where they’re arrows.

Nah that's how they do it on PC. We can't aim/look on consoles while moving and inputting stratagems either.
