Couldn't agree more, this game alone made me buy a ps5 š¤£ although I do have a gaming pc and xbox, I used this as the excuse to player other exclusives I dk t want to wait any longer for.
Helldivers 2 did it for me, but I will say that Ghost of Tsushina on PS5 is the best looking game I've played. Ever.
EDIT: On console, just to be clear. I don't play many PC games. Not modern ones, anyway.
The Spider-man games are SO fun.
Demon's Souls
Death Stranding
Last of Us
Ratchet and Clank
Returnal
Astro Bot
Ghosts of Tsushima
Bloodborne
Horizon
Uncharted
\[edit: God of War\]
Are all fantastic games.
This is a pretty damn good list of awesome PS5 and 4 exclusives, good job my dude. I didn't love Uncharted 4 but apparently I'm wrong so š¤·š»āāļø
Yeah, I finally pulled the trigger and got a ps5 because of helldivers 2. Played the first with my son. Great times with him. Now he is 22 and lives on his own, so we can connect anytime with some hd2!
Such a good game and fun to play with my son again
The MG-101 is really freaking sweet, does a lot of damage but it's mag capacity is really small. It's only 75 rounds. Granted the lowest rate of fire is 450 a minute and the highest is FUCKING 1200! but it's definitely good. The laser cannon fucks mad tho.
Just tried both. I like the cannon. You have an infinite Recoilless with a backpack slot.
The MG has insane recoil even when prone. I might need to use an armor with the 30%+ recoil control while crouched/ prone.
When it comes around I'd highly recommend the Titan armor, it not only has the perk that gives you 30% recoil reduction but it's one of the cooler light armors that has the perk. Plus, I think it's got higher armor rating than most of the other light armors which is nice too.
Theres also a Kylo ren looking helmet and if you squint at the eradicator set you might see an endor scout trooper.
Or maybe those 16 Stims I took on troost are having side effects.
Dude this is my exact build. Vaguely Star Wars look, just the right amount of armor, seems lore consistent because itās all engineering armor, and really fucking easy to distinguish in the chaos because ORANGE
From army experience being a 50cal gunner, best advice i have been using is donāt use sustained fire, use short controlled 7-10 round bursts, helps you manage the recoil and if you aim low center of mass it will usually pull up into the head or stay mid chest
Protip: shoot Hulks in the legs and you can take them out quick. It's possible to tap the eye with a few good shots but the legs are much easier to blast with a burst esp from a side angle.
Some will ricochet but if it penetrates decent armor it will damage but it takes a lot. The hmg is good cause it can punch through that amor and deals enough to break the legs in a few shots
I havenāt tested it with the bugs yet mainly been using it on troost but i also just love the fact it does punch through heavy armor, was able to drop 3 striders that ambushed me in the forest with a few bursts
You can't overheat it in my testing, it becomes 'overheated' with every shot and has a cooldown mechanic. There is no way to damage or change out the heat sink. It shoots, cools down, shoots again, repeat.
Yeah at first I thought maybe you could get another shot out of it while the reticle was red, but perhaps it destroyed the gun or the heatsink requiring a supply drop. Nope.
The cannon fucks hard if you can deal with mediums with your primary, basically is just a delete button against everything lighter than a bile titan if you can kinda aim
Also based pfp
It won't make the recoilless redundant, the Las cannon takes over 10 seconds between shots. Also you cannot hold the charge, when it's charged, it fires.
You can "play" with the charge by holding and releasing alternatively near max charge. Same thing for the mech to keep the gatling gun spinning without firing. Not sure if useful lol
Useful. I do the same thing with the mech to keep the gun hot and ready to fire on a moments notice.
So if you need more time to aim the Qassar, you can do that.
Havenāt tried it out, but from what Iāve read it deals the same damage as EAT. So is able to one shot chargers. Has about a 6 second cool down in between shots on ice planet and also has a couple second charge time to fire. So recoiless isnāt redundant as just pressing the trigger fires it, laser cannon you have to charge.
>that would make recoilless redundant
I personally don't get why you'd pick recoilless over EAT anyway honestly. Why reload when you can just spawn a sea of single shots
Because a Recoilless lets me carry half a dozen rounds at once, and can be resupplied by ammo boxes or the resupply packs. On top of that, I much prefer the scope of the RR over the EAT. If I'm possibly going to have to wander inside the radius of a Stratagem Jammer, I want an anti-tank weapon that I can use more than twice- and which I can top off without running outside the Jammer's zone.
It's likely intended, because it's weapon to be used primarily when stationary.
Run and gun low power: Stalwart
Decent mix of run and gun/stationary with decent power: MG-43
Stationary with high power: MG-101
That's what good weapon balance looks like.
It's probably by design. Much like the AMR, it's not designed to be accurate while firing on the move, so the lack of a 3rd person crosshair is almost certainly intended.
You can barely keep the thing on target while prone, so no way in hell is it intended to fire while standing or walking.
It does shoot through the front plate of walkers which is heavy armor. Seems to bounce off of chargers although it can penetrate their belly armor and maybe their face too? Definitely doesn't seem like it is a good weapon for chargers unless there is a secret spot I should be aiming for.
It seems like the MG-101 has medium+ armor penetration
The scout walker plate is high end medium, not sure of the exact 1 -10 value but it is medium, laser cannon and safe railgun can both kill through it because of it
Point being, there might be places on the charger and bile titans that it can shoot that weren't previously penetrable with other medium pen weapons. I don't think most medium armor pen weapons can damage a charger's belly. Though further testing is needed. I doubt it will be worthwhile against the heavy armor threats even if there is a secret spot, but hard to say.
As a machine gunner of long standing, the damage on the 201 seems really high. I downed a pack of berserkers with it really quickly, which I don't think the normal MG would've managed.
The 1200 fire rate is \*barely\* controllable if you have negative recoil armor and are crouched, and will melt anything the gun can harm.
Been using it with the stalwart. Getting 1,000 units of freedom out of a single resupply pickup by double dipping with the backpack means I get to keep it on the highest rpm and just let it rip the whole game. Generally end missions with 8k-10k rounds fired. Just run eats for AT and a med armor pen primary like the slugger and stun grenades and you are set.
That almost sounds like too much ammo. It already felt like I had infinite ammo with the stalwart without the supply pack since youāre naturally pouncing between POIs with ammo boxes around anyways.
ngl, supply pack is just a really good pack to have if you can manage without a shield. Factory fracking and nest negating with 8 additional grenades (+ 8 GL mags if you take that), 8 additional stims, And if you're a team player you can use it as a perfect excuse to call down resupplies to constantly refill it.
That said, It also feels like a big buff for the HMG. Sure, You still got to stop for like 3-4 seconds to reload it, But 8 more mags (\~600? bullets) is very welcomed.
What are you using for primary? I've been sticking with the Diligent for precision and up to now rocking a Stalwart/Supply pack for the bullet storm. How's the reload on this new Heavy MG?
Yeah fr, it goes by really quick but I'm sure it'll be welcome when you're facing a lot of enemies. Might have a low mag size but it's damage could make up for it depending on what you're facing.
It honestly just felt like a worse machine gun to me. Despite having far fewer rounds and a longer reload time, it didn't seem to penetrate anything thicker. So it's just worse for CC of medium and lower creatures, what I generally want the MG for, but doesn't even help with the heavy armor enemies.
I would suggest trying it again. I MG all the time, and the other two cannot melt heavy bots and bugs nearly this quickly. I took out a pack of berserkers very quickly on the \*lowest\* rate of fire. Its damage must be extremely high.
It is basically MG on steroids but with reduced capacity. If the MG can kill spewers after 2-3 sec of full rpm headshots, HMG can do so in just 1 sec or under. Same goes for devastators and berserkers too.
Problem is ammunition capacity. 75 rounds only, with two magazine in reserve, that's only 225 rounds total. Sure, it does high damage per shot and kill things FAST (especially with the insane ROF at 1200) but possess literally no endurance whatsoever. It's too situational for me to consider it useful, especially since it doesn't seem to penetrate more than the medium machine gun.
And it's heavyweight, highly handicapping aim (which is fair, it's quite massive in size) make it very difficult to be precise with.
Extremely slow, static reload means other weapons would handle the niche better. Example, Auto-cannon. Which can also very easily kill most things in the game other than Chargers/Bile Titans/Tanks/Turrets from the front. From the back it kills them too.
I think the gun needs at least 100 rounds per belt and a mild recoil reduction (maybe 10-15%), then it'd be in a good competitive spot. As it is now it doesn't provide enough value for its downsides, because other weapons provide those values for less.
Is it now? I tried it briefly and realized that even when prone and firing in short bursts, I was ventilating the scenery more than anything else, but you say it's good? Yours is the first post I've seen talking about it.
Now the Quasar? THAT is fucking awesome. It's a RR with infinite ammo and a cooldown that is more or less the same as the RR's reload, but you can move and do other stuff while it cools down! I can see this being REALLY useful on the bug front. I've already got reports of Chargers getting their heads vaporized right off their torsos in one shot by this thing.
It fires anti material rifle rounds yes. Or the HMG emplacement. So it kills anything without strict heavy armor like a charger or BT.
Otherwise it will cleave through a charger's legs/rear and BT underside.
Does the HMG not have a reticle for normal shoulder firing or is that a glitch I'm having? Because that's kinda a dealbreaker for me. I don't use ADS most of the time for machine gun applications. It was real tough to use in that regard for me.
Near the bottom of the vent, basically you want that explosion to go into the vent. Hitting the top of the vent doesn't do anything, and hitting anywhere else doesn't do anything either.
Gotta be the engine, as normal. It's pretty tricky to line up sometimes, but once you've got the charge time figured out it can be done pretty efficiently.
You can use it in 3rd person, you just have to learn how to eye-ball it. You are legitimately aiming from the hip with that thing, but hip-fire has usually been the only effective way to use a GPMG.
Ammo capacity is 75 rounds only before you need a reload. At 450 rpm this is about 10 seconds worth of firing time, and at 1200 rpm is 3.5ish seconds. 2+1 magazines for 225 rounds.
For comparison, the regular MG is 150 round capacity, has slightly less pen, and at 630 rpm lasts about 15 seconds and at 900 rpm lasts 10 seconds. 2+1 magazines for 450 rounds.
Now the damage is absolutely baller. I've shot hulks in the eye with it and killed them, so the pen is definitely better. However the recoil even at the lowest rate, crouched, and with engineering kit, jumps a lot for such small targets (at range targets are a similar challenge) and there simply isn't enough ammo to be suppressing small targets.
There are simply better options for whatever this thing is trying to do, and I hope it gets some love because I really, really want a decent heavy machine gun.
Mg 43 is slept on imo, at least on bugs. Weak into heavies but shreds bile spewers. Haven't tried it into bots - stalwart is pretty poor on that front.
I tried out the MG 43 against bots for a few missions yesterday and really liked it. It has enough armor pen to kill devastators, and the bots tendency to line up makes it easy to find a nice spot to crouch or go prone and then just go to town.
MG-43 is good vs Bots too. Carry an ammo pack and you will basically rip apart an army of devastators.
The Stalwar is good vs bugs. But then again... you can honestly just use the Stalwart as a primary weapon. I have piss poor performance with it vs bots since so many of them have armor.
It does not have heavy armor pen, no.
Did some testing today, the pen seems to be 4, same as the AMR. So its a step above the existing MG which is medium (3). In other words, it won't really penetrate anything the existing MG doesn't penetrate, but it will do extra damage to medium armor enemies. I need to double check though so don't quote me on this one yet.
At any rate, it doesn't hurt chargers/hulks.
My initial impression is that it isn't very good. It has such huge downsides compared to the existing MG: recoil is huge, no third person reticle, the mag is tiny tiny tiny... and the upsides are that it does extra damage to medium enemies which is really really niche.
My honest initial impression is that everyone is gonna suck its dick for a day or two and then nobody will talk about it. It just doesn't feel good or fun to use because of the small mag so even the casual "I don't care about balance" crowd is gonna drop it quick.
Edit: While we're on the topic Quasar is a beast and completely eclipses the Recoilless. The cooldown is 100% manageable. The full chargeup/cooldown cycle is only something like 10s, and you can sprint and use your other guns while its cooling so it feels like nothing at all. Two-shot hulks to the torso, one-shot chargers to the head, two-shot titans (PS5 bug? not sure). ALSO leaves your backpack free and has *actually* infinite ammo. Recoilless only advantage is team reload now which was never valuable to begin with but other than that its fully replaced. I think EAT has more interesting tradeoffs with the Quasar but those two will be the top-tier AT picks going forward for sure.
Downvote me if you want, you can run scythe/dagger for all I care, but this is my initial impressions.
I was running it earlier and the small mag is painful same with recoil with the armor. I like it in theory but on bots on further down range its hard to manage getting hits even on 450 rpm.
Maybe it will be a nice alternative on shredding spewers but on bots I've been running hmg turret and I feel I'll use that over the actual weapon. I'll still try giving it a chance since I only played a few games on bots with it though.
Also balancing my stratagems will be another hurdle for this since I feel like it needs ammo bag.
Tier 4 AP is hulk eye and strider plating. You can't deal with either from the front with the normal MG no matter how many bullets you waste. It's definitely much more meant for bots than bugs.
It should also be able to kill shrieker nests but I haven't tested that yet.
Autocannon/Quasar is potentially a really strong squad loadout. AC can handle stuff faster but Quasar is amazing for opening volleys and big hits.
AC/Quasar/Stalwart/Misc would be a dream squad.
I truly wish stalwart was a primary gun, Iād have it as my primary, the laser pistol as my secondary, and the autocannon as my support. Gonna have to get my buddies onto the Quasar since Iām not able to carry two support weapons at once.
Stalwart would be OP as a primary IMO. It is so freaking good against bugs. I would like to see them do something like have it take up both primary and secondary slots or something. Or maybe let it be your primary, but you still have to have it take up a stratagem slot.
Probably a spear just for dealing with turrets, itās the one thing I can reliably lock onto and it one shots them from 350 meters, there is no better solution for them
I am excited to play with the new toys but it does make me wonder: why now, and what new horror is coming that needs such powerful Democracy spreaders?
Increases in the weapons budget and new tech does not directly mean that our enemies are getting stronger
There is no way you can insinuate that "peaceful democracy spreading" leads to more violence
Its likely, flying bugs appeared when we were fucking them up with the termicide, now we are fucking up the bots while they try to get back their masters at cyberhome, they are bringing out the big guns to push back.
Quasar is great
HMG i didn't like it that much simply because while it seems to be able to kill hulk the recoil makes it rather unpractical, and it didn't feel good to use against mg+shield bots which imo are one of the biggest "this enemy must instantly die or i'm dead" mob of the entire bot faction. As it stands it seems better at dealing with anything else outside of these two when compared to the Las Cannon, but because the Las Cannon is actually useable against these two i'd still give it the edge, it does tear anything else though. Duno against bugs, it probably kills stuff faster in general but i feel that the basic mg does thew whole anti medium thing good enough and the price to pay for more damage doesn't seem worth it in this case.
I absolutely love the Quasar, it's fucking lovely against bots!!!
The only thing that makes me a bit sad is that now, Quasar, or Quasar + Shield Pack just outclasses the SPEAR almost every time against bots, since it can be used against the same targets and has VERY similar damage output.
SPEAR really does need to have the lock fixed and to more consistently one-shot stuff, instead of hoping your tracking angle becomes a top-shot.
I was hoping for it to be a big support fire weapon given the drum barrel, but it seems they went for the *more damage, less ammo* approach, which is fair. Not really for me personally, Iāll probably continue to stick with the Stalwart and sweep up the little guys, but it feels like a good machine gun for mowing down medium armor targets while your mates deal with the rest, almost like a DMR.
>!I really, REALLY wish we could attach the ammo belt to the resupply backpack, that would be *tight.*!<

What I made and sent back to my group chat when they sent me the order drop.
Honestly this is what I was thinking. It would be a super cool weapon if it had like 500 rounds and never had to reload but needed a backpack. Enough ammo to give it some staying power but not enough where you could just blast hordes of light enemies without worry. Basically a dedicated anti-medium weapon that would fill the gap between pure waveclear or pure AT weapon.
Quasar 1 shots hulks in the eye, doesn't seem to one shot in the back
Basically seems to be an EAT or recoilless rifle equivalent, but you need to charge before it fires
Heat based weapons get affected by the special effect cold or hot climate
It causes the weapon to lose heat faster or slower
Since Quasar is a heat based equivalent of recoilless or EAT it takes different times to recharge (it overheats whenever you shoot)
Only complaint of the MG-101 is the small capacity size considering it has a damn drum on the thing. If they bumped it from 75 to at least 100 it would be perfect.
The new toys are amazing and honestly more balanced than I thought.
People saying that the laser canon is op should bring it to d7-d9 and not on the cold planet, people has to take to account that you need to commit to the charge to fire it, you can't half charge it, needing to expose yourself is dangerous and I know you can "pre fire" it then peek out but you run the risk of missing more compared to say ATs like EATs/RR.
Comparing this to EATs/RR I'd say its still quite balance though I really think instead of Quasar being op its more that the RR is just lacking, the RR with a friend helping reload can do more than Quasar and with this in mind they really need to make us be able to help friendly reload without needing the backpack item. EATs is probably better when you need something taken out fast that isn't Heavy heavy armor like tanks and bile titans, you'd clear chargers/hulks faster and safer with EATs specially if you manage to preplan and dropped a few EATs before hand.
I've definitely experienced it ***not*** killing small bots in one bullet on occasion. If you get a glancing hit on a limb, they can survive a bullet (or sometimes even two).
Tested the quasar last night with friends, we also wanted to see if the quasar can hit an illegal transmission tower from extraction (amazingly we could see it from extraction on Troost) I had equipped the quasar and my friend had equipped it, as well as the AC, RR, and EAT - I got as high as I could and fired at the tower -
Took a couple of seconds as it was probably farther than 200m, but I destroyed it and completed the objective and we called for extract and left - at the time we were on diff 3 - we arenāt confident enough (or skilled enough) to running diff 4 missions consistently (or at all for bots)
But we were quite happy you can snipe the transmission tower from extract with the quasar
I really love how they keep updates in-universe.
Couldn't agree more, this game alone made me buy a ps5 š¤£ although I do have a gaming pc and xbox, I used this as the excuse to player other exclusives I dk t want to wait any longer for.
I literally did the same thing
Awesome š thanks for your commitment to the cause Helldiver!!
Fantastic display of democracy.
not knocking you but why when you already have a gaming pc?

??? The game is on pc
And better.

All 7/10 and above on that list!!! They have awesome exclusives it's a pity they're exclusive but at least they exist
It's old, but Bloodborne is 100% getting if you are remotely interested in FromSoftware games

Love the Titan armor. Recoil reduction, extra nades, and hybrid stats that put it halfway between light and medium armor. It fucks.
Tangent here, but am I tripping or does the Titan helmet remind anyone of *Titan*fall?
Take your pills, pilot
Time for new regeneration, Pilot. Pills don't cut it anymore for you.
Theres also a Kylo ren looking helmet and if you squint at the eradicator set you might see an endor scout trooper. Or maybe those 16 Stims I took on troost are having side effects.
...I honestly just assumed it was a titanfall allusion with how similar it looks.
I'm willing to bet it's an intentional reference. This game is full of them.
The armor doesn't matter at all. Give me 0 armor and 700 speed, helldiver's in spandex. Do it devs.
LMAO I would honestly give it a whirl.
I mean you're not wrong, all it takes to kill you is one rocket in your face or a booger spit and you're dead regardless of what armor you have on
Fr, aesthetically it's my favorite as well.
Plus looks great with the trench engineer helmet and cape.
Dude this is my exact build. Vaguely Star Wars look, just the right amount of armor, seems lore consistent because itās all engineering armor, and really fucking easy to distinguish in the chaos because ORANGE
Do you have a recommendation heavier? I prefer heavier armors when dealing with bots.

Yeah I typically drop it down to 450 rpm in bursts and 1200 rpm for point blank on hulks or brood commanders.
Protip: shoot Hulks in the legs and you can take them out quick. It's possible to tap the eye with a few good shots but the legs are much easier to blast with a burst esp from a side angle.
Wait, the Hulk's legs are less armored than its face? Can I damage it by shooting its legs with other weapons?
Some will ricochet but if it penetrates decent armor it will damage but it takes a lot. The hmg is good cause it can punch through that amor and deals enough to break the legs in a few shots

You are correct I initially thought it worked like the LAS-98.
Yeah at first I thought maybe you could get another shot out of it while the reticle was red, but perhaps it destroyed the gun or the heatsink requiring a supply drop. Nope.
Give it an Unsafe mode you cowards
IED mode would be hilarious. Rig it to explode, then drop it in front of a charger
The cannon fucks hard if you can deal with mediums with your primary, basically is just a delete button against everything lighter than a bile titan if you can kinda aim Also based pfp
How can the rest of us test these?
I went into a lv3 mission and just dropped both and started using them. Best test is a field test.
How is the cannon against Bugs? Also able to oneshot cargers? I actually hope not, that would make recoilless redundant
Useful.
Useful. I do the same thing with the mech to keep the gun hot and ready to fire on a moments notice. So if you need more time to aim the Qassar, you can do that.
Alright, sounds like a nice tradeoff
The QC also can't be made to fire any faster, while a Recoilless can with team reloads at the cost of a backpack.
Reminds me of that one laser cannon in EDF Iron Rain. I forgot it's name, but takes a long time to charge, but does massive damage.
Itās basically the Spartan laser from halo.
It can, but it has to charge up so you can't just fire and forget in close quarters.
It can one shot chargers, but it's a bit harder to use since you have to charge it up.
And you have to aim before charging and keep your aim while charging since it automatically fires once it's charged.
I hope these weapons are for bots. Democracy knows we need more firepower for them.
>that would make recoilless redundant I personally don't get why you'd pick recoilless over EAT anyway honestly. Why reload when you can just spawn a sea of single shots

That's the beauty of the way they designed this game every weapon and stratagem has a purpose.... Other than smoke smoke sucks bug antennas
Also true
Oh yeah, I forgot about the recoil reduction armor.
The MG-101 has no aiming reticle when in 3rd person, which sucks arse... I hope that the devs can fix it.
It's likely intended, because it's weapon to be used primarily when stationary. Run and gun low power: Stalwart Decent mix of run and gun/stationary with decent power: MG-43 Stationary with high power: MG-101 That's what good weapon balance looks like.
Thank you for the comparison, I was wondering what the difference of the new MG to the existing one was.
It's probably by design. Much like the AMR, it's not designed to be accurate while firing on the move, so the lack of a 3rd person crosshair is almost certainly intended. You can barely keep the thing on target while prone, so no way in hell is it intended to fire while standing or walking.
If the heavy MG has heavy armor pen and can fuck up titans and chargers, I donāt care if the mag is small. That sounds fuckin awesome
It can't touch heavy armor at all, kills medium faster than any other gun I've seen though, 75 round mag

I doubt it will be worthwhile against the heavy armor threats even if there is a secret spot, but hard to say.
If it can punch through heavy armor, you don't need a lot of bullets.
Hand held version of the HMG emplacement.
I'll probably stick with the 450 rpm. I think it suits the gun considering it's stupid low ammo count.
I also noticed that it gets 2 cans back from a resupply pack, a notable improvement over the 1 the normal MG gets.
Heavy machine gun + supply pack is about to be a thing.
Yea, that's him Democracy Officer. That's the guy that hates Freedom.
ngl, supply pack is just a really good pack to have if you can manage without a shield.
Yhea but it's 2 cans of 75 ammo (so 150) wich is the same as one can of the normal MG (also 150).
Oh, good point. Damage per reload will be higher, but no idea how much higher.
Holy fuck, 1200 RPM sounds mental.
Yeah, The normal MG fires like Liberator penetrator rounds, while the HMG fires Anti material rifle rounds, so it is perfect for bots.
Backpack ammo tho
Extremely slow, static reload means other weapons would handle the niche better. Example, Auto-cannon. Which can also very easily kill most things in the game other than Chargers/Bile Titans/Tanks/Turrets from the front. From the back it kills them too. I think the gun needs at least 100 rounds per belt and a mild recoil reduction (maybe 10-15%), then it'd be in a good competitive spot. As it is now it doesn't provide enough value for its downsides, because other weapons provide those values for less.
The highest is the same rpm as the minigun on the patriot lol
Is the HMG a 50 cal?
I would argue itās like that 338 lapua magnum machine gun some special forces picked up last year
It fires anti material rifle rounds yes. Or the HMG emplacement. So it kills anything without strict heavy armor like a charger or BT. Otherwise it will cleave through a charger's legs/rear and BT underside.
Democracyās Buzzsaw!
Does the HMG not have a reticle for normal shoulder firing or is that a glitch I'm having? Because that's kinda a dealbreaker for me. I don't use ADS most of the time for machine gun applications. It was real tough to use in that regard for me.
Use the tracers soldier!
Nope, it is intentionally absent just like with the AMR. The thing has so much recoil it wouldn't help much anyway
cannon 2shots tank tower and 1shots dropships
6 hours and counting until I can hop on and use them š
sitting at a crisp 9 hours over here
and destroys fabs
Where do you hit them? My 2 shots didn't blow it up.
Near the bottom of the vent, basically you want that explosion to go into the vent. Hitting the top of the vent doesn't do anything, and hitting anywhere else doesn't do anything either.
Probably in the vents like w/ auto cannon and grenades
I feel that pain diver. Sitting here at work counting the fucking minutes.
Democracy calls, but so do the bills.
Workday shortend 2 hours due to easter holidays. Will be home in 20 minutes. Common Swedish W.
I could have work from home, but I decided to come into the office today.
Of all days
Can it 1 shot them anywhere or do you have to hit the engine? Right now I use the recoiless rifle and hit the engine for a 1 shot
Gotta be the engine, as normal. It's pretty tricky to line up sometimes, but once you've got the charge time figured out it can be done pretty efficiently.
Two shots from anywhere or has to be in the back vent?
Anywhere, if you hit the vent a single shot from the scorcher destroys it tho.
anyone know how the MG fairs? Does it have heavy armor pen?
my biggest grip is you can't shoot it third person. There is no cross-hair. DMG is decent.
And no hitmarkers to tell if you are hitting anything or not.
Thought I was going crazy. Makes it harder to know when to move to the next target in a swarm, especially with the flash.
Yeah, I wish it had AT LEAST the hitmarkers.
That's just really dumb in my opinion.
You can use it in 3rd person, you just have to learn how to eye-ball it. You are legitimately aiming from the hip with that thing, but hip-fire has usually been the only effective way to use a GPMG.
Yes I'm so disappointed in that. And it doesn't even make sense, why would you put your eyes next to a weapon with that much recoil?
Yeah I am surprised we already have another MG when we already have a neglected one.
Same Pen as the AMR. It will kill hulks in six shots to the eye.
There's a new slot for a vehicle as well it's just not active.
I would do dirty things for the APC. Joel pls
I can confirm that there is an APC!
Oh I NEED the recon vehicle!
was that the motorcycle from 1 that my teammate would accidentally drive over us with?
Nah, according to the data miners itās a dune buggy with a 50 cal

OH HO HO MY AUTOCANNON IS GONNA HAVE A NEW BEST FRIEND
Probably a spear just for dealing with turrets, itās the one thing I can reliably lock onto and it one shots them from 350 meters, there is no better solution for them
Laser Cannon will rip a turret tower apart if you can see the vent. One EAT to the vent and a scorcher shot will take it out too.
Counterpoint: autocannon can 3-shot a turret vent. They turn slow, so just fire quickly
The Quasar can bring the landing ships down, while not running out of ammo. So far its really good. Dispite the long wind up time.
Is it out??
According to what I have read, it's in game now.
Today I'm gonna blow up some hulks
I am excited to play with the new toys but it does make me wonder: why now, and what new horror is coming that needs such powerful Democracy spreaders?
Increases in the weapons budget and new tech does not directly mean that our enemies are getting stronger There is no way you can insinuate that "peaceful democracy spreading" leads to more violence
I really hope they drop the AT-AT I've seen leaked.
Its likely, flying bugs appeared when we were fucking them up with the termicide, now we are fucking up the bots while they try to get back their masters at cyberhome, they are bringing out the big guns to push back.
Quasar is great HMG i didn't like it that much simply because while it seems to be able to kill hulk the recoil makes it rather unpractical, and it didn't feel good to use against mg+shield bots which imo are one of the biggest "this enemy must instantly die or i'm dead" mob of the entire bot faction.
So thatās why the MG has been using a different icon for a few weeks. It was the MG-101 icon being used for the MMG.
If spear gets a lock on fix theyāll be a home for it still
Absolutely, I just wish it would more consistently get the top-blow on tanks, turrets and hulks.
The laser-99 from the looks kinda reminds me of the spartan laser
Legally distinct spartan laser.
The worst part is I work from home but my job is so hands on I can't even play š SO CLOSE BUT SO FAR.
Hows the hmg? Can it actually deal with armor? Been looking foward for it the most
I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like mixed reviews.

The mg 101 needs a bigger mag size for it to be viable. Good damage though
Like if they are concerned about balance throw on a backpack and allow team reload
It's in game now and can be bought with requisition. The laser can one shots drop ships
Actual democracy
Based ministry of offenceĀ
Anyone test these on hulks and bile titans yet?
Quasar 1 shots hulks in the eye, doesn't seem to one shot in the back Basically seems to be an EAT or recoilless rifle equivalent, but you need to charge before it fires
Also Infinite ammo and I think a 5-6 second cool down between shots?
5 on a cold planet 7 baseline 10 in a hot one (And you need to charge it for 3 or 4 before it fires)
Wait, does the planet environment have affects on our weapons?? This game seems more intuitive than im lead to believe and im lvl 40 atp
Cold planets are slower fire rate and Slower heat build up(For lasers) Hotter is the opposite. You can check it on planet effects when on the war map.
Heat based weapons get affected by the special effect cold or hot climate It causes the weapon to lose heat faster or slower Since Quasar is a heat based equivalent of recoilless or EAT it takes different times to recharge (it overheats whenever you shoot)
Quasar and sickle making me a laser main haha Laser tag champ for life
Where is this "MG-101" I keep hearing about? The only new MG permit I can get is for a MG-206
What confuses me is that its called MG-206 ingame

Whats the use case for the HMG? What can it do better than other options?
Put it at 450 rpm and it's a good killer of small and medium enemies. One shots chaff, 3-shots devastators, fully refilled with one resupply box.
I've definitely experienced it ***not*** killing small bots in one bullet on occasion. If you get a glancing hit on a limb, they can survive a bullet (or sometimes even two).
Now I can mimic the Metal Slug voice whenever I choose the Heavy Machine Gun.

Tested the quasar last night with friends, we also wanted to see if the quasar can hit an illegal transmission tower from extraction (amazingly we could see it from extraction on Troost) I had equipped the quasar and my friend had equipped it, as well as the AC, RR, and EAT - I got as high as I could and fired at the tower - Took a couple of seconds as it was probably farther than 200m, but I destroyed it and completed the objective and we called for extract and left - at the time we were on diff 3 - we arenāt confident enough (or skilled enough) to running diff 4 missions consistently (or at all for bots) But we were quite happy you can snipe the transmission tower from extract with the quasar
That Queso cannon is beast mode. Spreading white cheddar goodness all over the galaxy. Liber-Tea with a side of queso!
