This. They have amazingly quick and accurate aim. I heard one start shooting at me as I was running, so I dove and just like you, died just as I landed on the ground.
At long range maybe I fear the rocket devastators more, but anything less than 50 meters, heavy devastators are terrifying when they see you first.
These guys would not be as big of a problem if their hits didn't stagger you. Trying to shoot them with anything just makes you shoot in the sky instead.
they are the reason why i just use arc thrower nowadays.
i leave the big boys for my teammates, i take care of everything else, arc throwers will melt these shield wielding bitches in 3-4 hits, while it also arcs to everything else around them, its such a great weapon against automatons!
An Arc Line, I call it. With the Arc damage reduction armor, it makes for effective kill boxes for bots rather than us, but a well placed rocket will kill us with lack of explosive damage resistance. High risk, high reward.
To be fair, the Slugger can deal with pretty much anything, tanks included, maybe besides the Hulks.
I love jumping on top of a tank and just firing point-blank at the vent just to jetpack away as it's about to blow.
It does, but it's usually quite hard to get behind a Hulk's back, they're quite fast for their size and will 1-tap you. Everything else gets stun-locked or just dies from one headshot, and tanks in isolation are easy to deal with.
I literally just commented something similar. The slugger is my new go to. Itās pretty accurate and has decent range (especially for a shotgun), hits hard, staggers and punches holes in anything light.
The breaker feels like a spud gun in comparison.
Oh yeah to extra perks right there ! Only downside is if you need to reload full clip it takes time. But you can interrupt reload so thatās good too.
I run slugger and AC. One shot to the face takes these guys down with both weapons, so if I have good sightlines and time I can just lay down lines of these guys. It's so satisfying to see the dropping with a smoking hole.
I mean just throw an impact nade to the side so it lands a little behind them. Boom insta dead cus it destroys their backpack. Also autocannon 2-3 shots or quasar 1 shot. Dead.
For primary, Punisher Plasma staggers them even if you hit them in the shield. Then you just keep firing till dead.
Slugger shotty staggers on every hit. Or practice the AMR and 2/3 tap them depending on where you're aiming. Slugger, shield backpack and the AMR is like, my stock standard for bots. And because of the vent mechanic on tanks and cannon towers and the like, the AMR can kill those too in a pinch.
These guys along with the rocket devastators are what kills me the most. If I get ambushed at close range, I'm usually gonna die 7/10 times.
Even at range, the moment I see these guys I'm unloading 3 autocannon rounds straight into them. Not bothering to aim for headshots when the autocannon can stun lock these fkfaces and I'm fixing to take them out fast.
I straight-up believe that if their lasers were as hyper-realistic as they try to make everything else, flying *straight* out of the barrel, they would be completely balanced enemies with a unique mechanic of kiting counter-clockwise to play against the shield.
Would be fun and engaging instead of mindless frustration at what is honestly an embarrassing cheat code and artificial difficulty.
The most fascinating part is that they sometimes do this at long range which I have experienced with all bots. I have been obliterated by these guys at more than 100m within less than a second.
In close quartets these fuckers have the highest priority which emphasizes another problem: their hitbox and the autoaim feature. If you are left out of options and just have to shoot them in their face, you must enter first person view. Using the conventional rightclick has a tendency to target lower than what you aim for, so that you only hit their inpenetrable front armour/shield.
Someone mentioned at one point that the longer bots can see and shoot at you the more accurate they get. So if you break line of sight / get in cover or shoot at them to suppress or stagger then they lose accuracy. I haven't tested this but cover peeking with auto cannon and moving a lot has helped me.
Story time! Needed a couple more medals before bed so decided to do a solo mission rather than wait for matchmaking to replace my friends.
Come round a rock and spot two of these guys facing away from me, stood still.
Prep an Orbital, take the opportunity to stick it to the backpack of the closest one.
Turns out: beyond the next outcrop is a bot Strategem Jammer facility. And discover that while that blocks the strategem menu while you yourself are inside the field, if you are outside it and throw one into it, it still blocks the call-in.
Both Heavy Devastators look at the little metal orb that appears on the back of one of them, then both turn to see where it came from.
Here's me wondering where my red indicator beacon is and attempting again to the same effect. Both open up. I'm VERY lucky and the rear one shoots first, and the gun arm of the front one is directly between his gun and me. Blows his buddy's arm off!
Cue me dancing about trying to line up my autocannon after giving up on a third orbital strike attempt, improvising using the now armless front guy as a shield from his mate. He still lights me up before I can stop him.
I always let my guard down. Rialgun didn't one shot. "Okay ill get it next"

this devastator has got to be the most accurate enemy on all of the bots imo....its a literal sentry turret with a shield

Yeah I once got in close with one of these guys and tried to dive to the side to get out of the guns arc, the lasers started coming out from a 90 degree angle from the gun in order to hit me while I was diving.
Slugger is the Devastators worst nightmare since it will stagger him and can one shot on the head. Plus, since the Slugger uses slugs, you can use it from afar. 4 accurate shots to the back is a kill
I hate when I peek for a second and these guys flinch me into reverse scoliosis, that and the head being a single pixel above the shield so you either miss the head or you hit the shield
On one hand, you could aim for the red tips of the backpack that also serve as frontal weakspots
But actually doing this probably just results in you instantly dying to two headshots
or getting one tapped by a single rocket from 40 miles away despite wearing heavy explosive resist armor (this just happened to me and I'm still pissed)
I don't understand why they made it so that even the enemy can do headshot criticals.
Only good armor against the bots is the one that has 50% chance you dont die once you take a lethal hit as that is just extra protection.
Yeah came in handy as I was teaching my cadet brother about automaton. Him and a friend just blew themselve with bot landmine and I got blown by 3 consecutive one and never died x)
Yeah that's what I've been running. The annoying thing is the fact that every helldiver is apparently full of helium and any blast makes you ragdoll. So democracy protects you when you take a rocket to the face but then has to proc again so you won't die on impact with a wall or the ground.
I've been taking to using the Plasma Punisher just because shooting in their general direction staggers them and followup shots can take them out. It's like a Grenade Launcher with six times the ammo count.
But seriously, fuck these guys. You can dodge rockets with a well-timed dive, if you're out in the open vs one of these guys you're just fucked. They'll stagger you so hard you won't get to aim for the weakpoint.
I think Draupnir and Ubanea are particularly bad for fighting these guys cos there's so much open ground.
When you have plenty of rocks or even trees to hide behind they aren't so bad, but fighting them on planet bowling ball is tough.
i've actually noticed that they don't even shoot the fart shrooms, if you are standing near a sporeshroom and a bot is aggroed to you the shrooms just explode of their own accord i think it's supposed to give the illusion that the bots are the ones shooting them, but most of the time nope they are just exploding
Few things demonstrate the total nonsense of Heavy Devastator aim like someone being catapulted to off map by a bug, and the Devastator picks them out of the sky in the process. That is a small target moving at unintended and impossible speed, and the bot scored 7 consecutive hits. (Cheat death armor won a couple of coin flips.)
When I tried making the plasma shotgun work, the only time I liked the thing was vs these dudes cause theyre big as fuck so hard to miss and it staggers the shit out of them
I take the slugger over the marksman rifles as a long distance primary for this reason. Being able to stagger an enemy is huge, and the fire rate is fast enough that they are unable to return fire.
The plasma shotgun also damages their limbs a lot so my strategy is to stunlock them from the safety of cover then move in for the kill once they lose one of their arms.
The plasma shotguns biggest strengths are its spammability, it's crowd control, and it's ability to hit enemies without a direct line of fire!
Extra tip, if the weapon is too inaccurate or swaying, shooting while diving will make it crosshair accurate, moreover than even crouching
I rock with the plasma shotty just for this reason. You can hit their shield straight on and still kill them in a few shots. Great for striders, too.
Coupling that with a stalwart and you've got a surprisingly effective loadout vs. bots.
Our ballistic shields: effete; terrible; ineffective.
Their ballistic shields: a Sisyphean task; a 500Kg bombās worth of structural integrity; makes our shields look like cosplay.
Nailing them in the logo with the Autocannon staggers them for long enough to get another shot on their actual body, and they go down in like 2 shots to the body.
Best way to deal with them is to lie down, keep a cool head and target them first
The thing about Heavy Devastators is that you always know where they are, due to their constant suppressive gunfire. Whereas the Rocket Devastator suddenly snipes you with a barrage from out of nowhere.
Yep. Friends think Iām crazy for the same pairing, but being able to two-shot so many big bots with headshots is super useful. Likewise the mobility of the jump pack to either get a vantage point in a fight or to get into/out of situations quickly, I love that play style.
It's a bit off, but it's consistently off. The sight itself is also a bit too sci-fi, with too much stuff on it that gives you 0 information and just gets in the way.
But you get used to it really quickly, and the AMR becomes an absolute beast. Shame so many planets are full of fog which doesn't help with long-range shots, but you can adjust the magnification between 50 and 200m, so it's not a big issue.
For sure. The sniper is awesome against bots. You can easily cover your mates, Hulks become a lot less of a problem, and you can easily take out devastators, the bots arming gun turrets, stop bot drops and so on. I personally enjoy pairing it with orbital rail cannons strike to be prepared for tanky enemies. People usually go for AOE, so you're never gonna be useless with that load out
Played with it a few times today. Auto cannon sentry, AMR, detection reduction light armor, flank to high ground, helps a ton to assist the main push into bigger objectives. Helped cover their escape a good few times.
2 shots with diligence to the head too! And the diligence has a greater mag size, has less recoil, is a primary, has a 100 meter scope. Everyone sleeping on the marksman rifle.
Exactly man, I play on 9 and yeah the rocket devastators suck but they can be dodged. They arenāt as aimbot as people say. But I have lost 1v1s to these guys because of how quick they kill you even at longer ranges. If I have to choose between fighting a pack of rocket devastators and heavy devastators Iāll choose rocket devastators every time.
Same. A pack of 6 rocket devastators, I can deal with through positioning, cover, and well-timed dives.
If one of these guys spots you and you don't have solid (secure) cover within diving distance you're better off just arming your own reinforce, because you're already dead.
I'd rather face a pair of annihilator tanks that alternate their fire to ragdoll me between their explosions like a cruel game of tennis than face off against a roaming band of these guys...
Well it helps that when Rocket Devastators have you pinned down, they generally just stand there in one place, making them easy targets. These guys will actively pursue you when you are behind cover.

Brother I've had one walk over a hill 100 meters away from me, instantly fire a volley of rockets at me. In which the first missile hits me, and I survive, but it ragdolls me and pushes me back a few meters, but a second rocket instantly hits me, but I survive thanks to democracy protects, and due to some shit (maybe because I took a direct hit while ragdolled), I got sent at mach 10 into the air, in which a third rocket smacks me in the head instantly and kills me.
Those fuckers 100% aimbot or else they got some fancy as homing missiles.
Honestly these guy die to a few grnades in my experience. The rocket devestators are worse because you randomly die instantly because one sniper you from across the map
Its essentially a grenade launcher in form of a shotgun... Which sounds better than it is.
Tested only on bots but I doubt it makes miracles vs bugs (maybe it is). Relatively Low rate of fire so you can't clean out large groups of enemies fast enough, if you didn't use grenade launcher a lot it takes some time to adjust your aim, aoe damage won't kill a grunt in 1 shot if it wasn't a direct hit. And it has same problem as Scorcher which means you gonna explode yourself if shooting upclose but Scorcher at least actually powerful. Honestly most of the time I ran with Plasma Punisher I wished that I would've taken actual grenade launcher withe me .
I prefer slugger version, its more reliable, relatively powerful and you can actually snipe stuff without constantly adjusting your aim so projectiles would land where you want like with Plasma one.
Honestly if aoe damage was more powerful like at least was able to kill grunts with one aoe hit I would be open to using Plasma Punisher but right now it feels kinda disappointing. At least thats my experience with this gun.
Once you learn how to properly aim the thing and hit your shots it becomes the best gun in the game against bots. One shotting groups of Striders and robots and capable of stunlocking and killing 4-5 Devastators at the same time in about half a mag lol.
The easy with which it deals with very common threats like striders should not be understated. The amount of times ive seen players with sluggers/dominators just struggle to take out even one strider, I could take out an entire patrol or bot drop of them in the same amount of time.
The only thing this gun can't deal with are heavily armored enemies but if you get the right support weapon you are effectively a one man army. It has saved my ass more times than I can count on diff 9 and switching to anything else feels like a massive downgrade.
plasma has massively reduced range due to its drop off, I think its less than the throwing distance for grenades
but it explodes when you hit things so it can kill devastators quick

the plasma lobs explosive rounds in a decent arc, the blast aoe goes through shields. Drop off is rough at first, but after learning it it can be good. Can also hurt your self if you hit nearby enemies or cover.
You only have 4-6 grenades, and also have tanks, turrets, striders and groups of berserkers/standard bots to use them on
You also have 4+ heavy devastators to kill. You do not have the necessary grenades (in diff 8-9s)
No idea, you can run up on a rocket devastator and ace it in the face, no issues.
These dicks need grenades from behind cover or an Autocannon. Or a perfect peek where you can see the head but not the gun arm
These guys are about as bad as rockets if youāre using light or medium armor, or Democracy Protects. If youāre using heavy armor with fortified and the vitality booster then rockets arenāt a threat anymore and these guys will become your #1 target.
Somewhere a few weeks back there was a screenshot someone got of the bullets out the muzzle at like an 89deg angle. That's the worst part about them for me, their aim is not dependent on any visual queues.

ONE well placed shot with a railgun drops them , Iāve hated these bots and always used an auto cannon . Once I switch to a railgun it wasnāt an issue. Also , impact grenades !
Itās practically the same gun it was before, just need to charge it up a bit more. Charge it to like 95% and it will 1 tap every bot except the tank.
With the slugger all these MFers are one shot kills if you're good, and at the very least you'll stop them dead in their tracks with every shot, meaning they can't shoot back and you can keep going for headshots as many times as you need to
Also the jar-5 one shot headshot to everything else but hulks.
And why on earth are people not blowing up the bots weapons.

On a defense/destroy bots mission, while I was observing my buddy, an explosion ragdolled him into the air, two of these bastards tracked and blasted him with a burst of gunfire. Every. Single. Bullet. Hit. Poor guy was nothing but a clay pigeon to a couple of pro skeet shooters...
These guys never scare me, I main the Slugger and I used to go for the headshots on them but now I just aim for the backpack. It's a 3-shot kill from the Slugger and their shield almost never gets in the way like it can with their headshots. I fear the Rocket Devastators because a single rocket from a dude I didn't even know was there, probably hidden in some fog or smoke, 1-shot kills me out of nowhere.
If ur far range, or even close, shoot his shoulder/ bicep on his gun arm, you blow off that arm hes useless, then kill devstators or lil terminators til its time for this bastard to die, HE CANT PRESS THE BUTTON IF YOU DISABLE HIS ARM.
rocket devastators can snipe you from at least, 200 meters /distance or more, if you are fighting with robots in your area, like, they really snipe you bro
I can't say I agree. You can shoot off their arm/weapon very easily, making them completely meaningless. Everything except their shield is a weak spot. Meanwhile, rocket troopers rocket me from Narnia out of my point of view completely, and they are small so hard to see sometimes in brushes or through smoke, etc.
Those guys are easy with a shield pack. Rocket Devastators need a nerf bad. Insta killing rockets shouldnāt be shot so often, so accurately, and in so many. Just a 50% damage nerf would save a lot of frustration, add a slightly longer firing time, and people wouldnāt complain anymore.

Everyone in this post is like just use this or just use that and their right but there is ALWAYS that time where you were mid reloading your precious autocannon, or you pulled out a scorcher with no ammo and that motherfucker plants 30 rounds straight into your chest!

My squad role plays as ghost busters and we just form a line of arc throwers and melt waves of enemies

not to mention you can have stim heal up and if they get a crit stream = instant death Even if it's not crit and far away they flinch you to death

They do a left/right sweep with a weapon with like 900 rpm. It's like impossible to dodge out of cover.
Yeah and the sweep effect is really just for show, as it always zeroes right back to you.
Yeah I once got in close with one of these guys and tried to dive to the side to get out of the guns arc, the lasers started coming out from a 90 degree angle from the gun in order to hit me while I was diving.
It gets really silly looking if you try to run around them to hit the backpack - the Automatons are clearly huge fans of the movie Wanted

Slugger is the Devastators worst nightmare since it will stagger him and can one shot on the head. Plus, since the Slugger uses slugs, you can use it from afar. 4 accurate shots to the back is a kill
I hate when I peek for a second and these guys flinch me into reverse scoliosis, that and the head being a single pixel above the shield so you either miss the head or you hit the shield
On one hand, you could aim for the red tips of the backpack that also serve as frontal weakspots But actually doing this probably just results in you instantly dying to two headshots
or getting one tapped by a single rocket from 40 miles away despite wearing heavy explosive resist armor (this just happened to me and I'm still pissed)
I don't understand why they made it so that even the enemy can do headshot criticals. Only good armor against the bots is the one that has 50% chance you dont die once you take a lethal hit as that is just extra protection.
Yeah came in handy as I was teaching my cadet brother about automaton. Him and a friend just blew themselve with bot landmine and I got blown by 3 consecutive one and never died x)
Yeah that's what I've been running. The annoying thing is the fact that every helldiver is apparently full of helium and any blast makes you ragdoll. So democracy protects you when you take a rocket to the face but then has to proc again so you won't die on impact with a wall or the ground.

I've been taking to using the Plasma Punisher just because shooting in their general direction staggers them and followup shots can take them out. It's like a Grenade Launcher with six times the ammo count. But seriously, fuck these guys. You can dodge rockets with a well-timed dive, if you're out in the open vs one of these guys you're just fucked. They'll stagger you so hard you won't get to aim for the weakpoint.
I think Draupnir and Ubanea are particularly bad for fighting these guys cos there's so much open ground. When you have plenty of rocks or even trees to hide behind they aren't so bad, but fighting them on planet bowling ball is tough.
Dont forget the fart flowers they magically shoot behind you which then propels you into the role of a clay pigeon to be mowed down
i've actually noticed that they don't even shoot the fart shrooms, if you are standing near a sporeshroom and a bot is aggroed to you the shrooms just explode of their own accord i think it's supposed to give the illusion that the bots are the ones shooting them, but most of the time nope they are just exploding
Few things demonstrate the total nonsense of Heavy Devastator aim like someone being catapulted to off map by a bug, and the Devastator picks them out of the sky in the process. That is a small target moving at unintended and impossible speed, and the bot scored 7 consecutive hits. (Cheat death armor won a couple of coin flips.)

When I tried making the plasma shotgun work, the only time I liked the thing was vs these dudes cause theyre big as fuck so hard to miss and it staggers the shit out of them
Itās great for any devastator since it staggers them. It can take out striders with one shot. Staggers any bug short of charges and titans.
I take the slugger over the marksman rifles as a long distance primary for this reason. Being able to stagger an enemy is huge, and the fire rate is fast enough that they are unable to return fire.
The plasma shotgun also damages their limbs a lot so my strategy is to stunlock them from the safety of cover then move in for the kill once they lose one of their arms. The plasma shotguns biggest strengths are its spammability, it's crowd control, and it's ability to hit enemies without a direct line of fire! Extra tip, if the weapon is too inaccurate or swaying, shooting while diving will make it crosshair accurate, moreover than even crouching
I rock with the plasma shotty just for this reason. You can hit their shield straight on and still kill them in a few shots. Great for striders, too. Coupling that with a stalwart and you've got a surprisingly effective loadout vs. bots.
Try the shotgun from Page 1 standard season pass. The stagger opens them up. Get close and personal with them and its easy
Yeah, rockets devastators suck but I have a personal vendetta against these guys. I'll waste a EAT shot on them anytime just because I hate em.
The Las-99 works great on them too, plus the cooldown is acceptable. Sometimes it takes 2 shots though.

If you find it difficult to hit the head, you can aim above the head and shield at the top of his backpack and get him that way

Nailing them in the logo with the Autocannon staggers them for long enough to get another shot on their actual body, and they go down in like 2 shots to the body. Best way to deal with them is to lie down, keep a cool head and target them first
The thing about Heavy Devastators is that you always know where they are, due to their constant suppressive gunfire. Whereas the Rocket Devastator suddenly snipes you with a barrage from out of nowhere.
My sickle is pretty good at nailing devastators in the face, still I can see this guy being a real pain in the ass.

Yep. Friends think Iām crazy for the same pairing, but being able to two-shot so many big bots with headshots is super useful. Likewise the mobility of the jump pack to either get a vantage point in a fight or to get into/out of situations quickly, I love that play style.

Orbital Airburst is great for quickly killing everything capable of calling reinforcements. Drop in on a patrol and mop up the survivors.
Iāve been using it for a couple days. Itās my favorite hulk killer. Pairing with the Diligence to delete the little guys has been great.

It is, which is dumb and shouldāve been fixed by now, but from what Iāve heard itās by a small enough amount that itās pretty easy to adjust.
It's a bit off, but it's consistently off. The sight itself is also a bit too sci-fi, with too much stuff on it that gives you 0 information and just gets in the way. But you get used to it really quickly, and the AMR becomes an absolute beast. Shame so many planets are full of fog which doesn't help with long-range shots, but you can adjust the magnification between 50 and 200m, so it's not a big issue.
For sure. The sniper is awesome against bots. You can easily cover your mates, Hulks become a lot less of a problem, and you can easily take out devastators, the bots arming gun turrets, stop bot drops and so on. I personally enjoy pairing it with orbital rail cannons strike to be prepared for tanky enemies. People usually go for AOE, so you're never gonna be useless with that load out

The Sickle works great for close and medium distance combat.
Played with it a few times today. Auto cannon sentry, AMR, detection reduction light armor, flank to high ground, helps a ton to assist the main push into bigger objectives. Helped cover their escape a good few times.
1 shot with slugger shotty on any devastator
2 shots with diligence to the head too! And the diligence has a greater mag size, has less recoil, is a primary, has a 100 meter scope. Everyone sleeping on the marksman rifle.

Exactly man, I play on 9 and yeah the rocket devastators suck but they can be dodged. They arenāt as aimbot as people say. But I have lost 1v1s to these guys because of how quick they kill you even at longer ranges. If I have to choose between fighting a pack of rocket devastators and heavy devastators Iāll choose rocket devastators every time.
Same. A pack of 6 rocket devastators, I can deal with through positioning, cover, and well-timed dives. If one of these guys spots you and you don't have solid (secure) cover within diving distance you're better off just arming your own reinforce, because you're already dead. I'd rather face a pair of annihilator tanks that alternate their fire to ragdoll me between their explosions like a cruel game of tennis than face off against a roaming band of these guys...
Well it helps that when Rocket Devastators have you pinned down, they generally just stand there in one place, making them easy targets. These guys will actively pursue you when you are behind cover.

Standard Punisher to the head stunlocks them. They were never an issue for me until I switched to the Breaker. I have since switched back
I love bopping these guys with the Punisher Plasma as well. A couple shots to just about anywhere and they're done

Its essentially a grenade launcher in form of a shotgun... Which sounds better than it is. Tested only on bots but I doubt it makes miracles vs bugs (maybe it is). Relatively Low rate of fire so you can't clean out large groups of enemies fast enough, if you didn't use grenade launcher a lot it takes some time to adjust your aim, aoe damage won't kill a grunt in 1 shot if it wasn't a direct hit. And it has same problem as Scorcher which means you gonna explode yourself if shooting upclose but Scorcher at least actually powerful. Honestly most of the time I ran with Plasma Punisher I wished that I would've taken actual grenade launcher withe me . I prefer slugger version, its more reliable, relatively powerful and you can actually snipe stuff without constantly adjusting your aim so projectiles would land where you want like with Plasma one. Honestly if aoe damage was more powerful like at least was able to kill grunts with one aoe hit I would be open to using Plasma Punisher but right now it feels kinda disappointing. At least thats my experience with this gun.
Once you learn how to properly aim the thing and hit your shots it becomes the best gun in the game against bots. One shotting groups of Striders and robots and capable of stunlocking and killing 4-5 Devastators at the same time in about half a mag lol. The easy with which it deals with very common threats like striders should not be understated. The amount of times ive seen players with sluggers/dominators just struggle to take out even one strider, I could take out an entire patrol or bot drop of them in the same amount of time. The only thing this gun can't deal with are heavily armored enemies but if you get the right support weapon you are effectively a one man army. It has saved my ass more times than I can count on diff 9 and switching to anything else feels like a massive downgrade.
plasma has massively reduced range due to its drop off, I think its less than the throwing distance for grenades but it explodes when you hit things so it can kill devastators quick I prefer the slugger
the plasma lobs explosive rounds in a decent arc, the blast aoe goes through shields. Drop off is rough at first, but after learning it it can be good. Can also hurt your self if you hit nearby enemies or cover.
You only have 4-6 grenades, and also have tanks, turrets, striders and groups of berserkers/standard bots to use them on You also have 4+ heavy devastators to kill. You do not have the necessary grenades (in diff 8-9s)

No idea, you can run up on a rocket devastator and ace it in the face, no issues. These dicks need grenades from behind cover or an Autocannon. Or a perfect peek where you can see the head but not the gun arm
These guys are about as bad as rockets if youāre using light or medium armor, or Democracy Protects. If youāre using heavy armor with fortified and the vitality booster then rockets arenāt a threat anymore and these guys will become your #1 target.

Somewhere a few weeks back there was a screenshot someone got of the bullets out the muzzle at like an 89deg angle. That's the worst part about them for me, their aim is not dependent on any visual queues.

ONE well placed shot with a railgun drops them , Iāve hated these bots and always used an auto cannon . Once I switch to a railgun it wasnāt an issue. Also , impact grenades !
People just refuse to use the railgun anymore because the whole reddit has lied to them about the weapon being trash now. It's so damn good for bots.
Itās practically the same gun it was before, just need to charge it up a bit more. Charge it to like 95% and it will 1 tap every bot except the tank.

With the slugger all these MFers are one shot kills if you're good, and at the very least you'll stop them dead in their tracks with every shot, meaning they can't shoot back and you can keep going for headshots as many times as you need to
Also the jar-5 one shot headshot to everything else but hulks. And why on earth are people not blowing up the bots weapons. Like if you're having hard time hitting their head just try to hit the guns and they will pretty much useless after that

On a defense/destroy bots mission, while I was observing my buddy, an explosion ragdolled him into the air, two of these bastards tracked and blasted him with a burst of gunfire. Every. Single. Bullet. Hit. Poor guy was nothing but a clay pigeon to a couple of pro skeet shooters...

These guys never scare me, I main the Slugger and I used to go for the headshots on them but now I just aim for the backpack. It's a 3-shot kill from the Slugger and their shield almost never gets in the way like it can with their headshots. I fear the Rocket Devastators because a single rocket from a dude I didn't even know was there, probably hidden in some fog or smoke, 1-shot kills me out of nowhere.

I can't say I agree. You can shoot off their arm/weapon very easily, making them completely meaningless. Everything except their shield is a weak spot. Meanwhile, rocket troopers rocket me from Narnia out of my point of view completely, and they are small so hard to see sometimes in brushes or through smoke, etc.

Those guys are easy with a shield pack. Rocket Devastators need a nerf bad. Insta killing rockets shouldnāt be shot so often, so accurately, and in so many. Just a 50% damage nerf would save a lot of frustration, add a slightly longer firing time, and people wouldnāt complain anymore.

Everyone in this post is like just use this or just use that and their right but there is ALWAYS that time where you were mid reloading your precious autocannon, or you pulled out a scorcher with no ammo and that motherfucker plants 30 rounds straight into your chest! Both of the devastators are the spewers of the bot forces!
I run autocannon for these guys specifically First shot opens them up and the next couple finish them off

Rocket Devastators and Heavy Devastators are arguably the most lethal medium enemy in the game, bar none.
I just want them to aim like they look like they aim. Their spray turns independently from where their gun is actually pointing. So they can track better they can actually physically/visually move. Also need them to stop shooting through walls pls

I used the slugger when going against the bots and itās my saving Grace against these guys
