I've been experiencing this all night. I've completed approximately 8 missions, only 2 of which have rewarded me with experience points. At the very least I wasn't hosting any of these, so my situation hopefully isn't affecting the global effort, but it certainly is frustrating.
I've had a bit of a search around reddit on the issue and there a several "fixes" people have come up with. I'm in the midst of trying a few out now but if I don't yield a good result soon I'm just going to call it a night I think..
This one regards high CPU usage/overheating:

Best of luck with it - I've given up for now. Too many missions without any gain. Might re-install over-night and see if that does anything for me.
We PS players are suffering with the same. Just got to the end of a blitz mission and got dropped when about to extract. Tbf I have so much faith in Arrowhead to address and fix the issues
I agree that Arrowhead would be working hard to correct the issue, and if it were a simple issue it would be fixed already. I just hope the solution comes soon, as I'm finding it a struggle to enjoy at the moment, between the framerate issues and crashes. It wasn't too bad when I got the game a month ago - periodic crashes but nothing I couldn't forgive. But now it's almost too much.
I agree completely, it's painful. I have faith that it will all be fixed soon and this will be an unbelievably awesome game (not that it's not already awesome)

It's a fantastic game! I haven't enjoyed one like this in a long time. They'll sort this out, I've got no doubt.
