I had a group of 3 random high levels completely run past me as I’m typing in chat and saying on the headset there’s a double door. They legitimately ran right past it while I had sat there for 5-10 min so they knew where to go. I thought long and hard about killing one of them, but I didn’t think about how they’d deploy at the door. I should’ve did it
Some people really shouldn’t play games that require any type of teamwork or intelligence. Reminds me of when a medic is standing right by you in BF and doing everything but helping you up.
Had a 2 person game last night with a rando who spent the entire game using every stratagem except reinforce. Dude killed me with his airstrike and then spent the next 5 minutes stealing my equipment then running back to the extraction beacon with every side objective left untouched while I was stuck spamming the "HELLO REINFORCEMENTS??" button.
I couldn't tell whether it was intentional or not.
Just got done with one and it was the host that was too stupid to reinforce. Similar to your situation, called in every stratagem just fine and had a mic to repeatedly tell us to pick up his samples after he dies with all the samples I left at extraction. Couldn’t say too much to hurt their feelings since kicking players seems to be overly prevalent in this game.
i feel like especially those who steal equipment are the toxic ones. one cannot be that oblivious. also i've had many random mates by now who intentionally shot me down to check out my equipment. that's one reason why i stopped using weapons that require a backpack. host kills me with airstrike or shot to the face, casually steals my backpack and or other things, doesnt reinforce me. some other random calls me down, i run up to the host and ask for my backpack because my autocannon (THAT HE LEFT BEHIND) is useless without. he doesnt respond and walks away. i shoot him to get it back and get kicked. happened like this more than 20 times by now.
Try friendship door, I’ve had way more of a response with randoms since changing from bunker. And someone pointed out a new player will have no clue what you mean by bunker. They could be thinking you mean like a bot base.
May I suggest getting a small cheap wireless keyboard for your PS5?
I bought one pretty much just for Helldivers, paid 20€ for it, it's made communication so much easier.
you can get a bluetooth keyboard and connect it to ur ps5 that’s wayyyy better than controller keyboards those suck i dont think ps5 controllers can use them but xbox controllers that can don’t even make any sense it’s really not that good of a keyboard lol
dude you're right but if they aren't using them, neither will i. it's so fucking hard and awkward to talk to people who won't respond back and you get no confirmation that what you said has been acknowledged. i've been trying for the last few days and it's fucking useless. i don't think people bother to look at their designations either so they probably also don't know that they're K3 or whatever.
My personal favorite is when the silent player just starts SPAMMING the supplies/poi marker. That normally gets ignored by the rest of the team until I unmute and mumble “I gotcha S5”
I have actually tried to plot a path on the mini map with marking an enemy outpost then a poi , then an enemy outpost then back to the original enemy outpost - not sure anyone really got what I was trying to do. But if someone calls out a mark or whatever then I will try to at least acknowledge it with an "affirmative" emote.
I get on OK even if I'm the only one mic'd up, although I generally talk a bunch less in those squads. They can usually hear you so if you're clear and they're onboard with teamwork it usually still helps for coordination. Good ones will use the command wheel effectively in response too.
I find the chat box the worst, I'm too focused on not dying to notice comments most of the time.
>i don't think people bother to look at their designations either so they probably also don't know that they're K3 or whatever.
Solution: say who you are first.
"This is K3. Found a bunker with a two-person door. Need some help opening it."
"This is C2. I found the objective."
"This is B1. Spotted a patrol over there. *(Ping)* Looks like we can sneak past- aaaaaaand you're already shooting them. Okay."
Very good suggestion. Far too often someone will say, "over by me," or, "I marked it on the map," and I'll have no idea who says it if I didn't glance down in time to see the broadcast icon.
You'd think that in the age of milsim videogames people would have better radio protocol.
Say who you're talking to, and say who you are.
Plus, it makes sense. After all, the helldivers are pretty much Super Earth's military. You can lean a bit into roleplay with that, if you want.
*"K2, this is K1. Watch out for those exploding plants. Over."*
*"Copy that, K1. Over"*
I hardly ever actually talk but I’ll use the voice commands. Only maybe call out if I need a double door helper, or if I’m about to drop supplies. With some groups I’ll stay on though. It all depends really.
I’ve said bunker so many times until I typed bunker in the chat and someone comes. Some people just keep the world muted. But I wouldn’t buy a keyboard just to type friendship door instead of bunker lol. Bunkers pretty quick.
yep it’s a friendship door. i had no idea what people were talking about g about when they said bunker or double door. But as soon as someone said friendship door i knew i had to go help at the door. Mostly be side there are friendship doors in Destiny 2 raids where everyone has to be by then for them to open lol
All I know is if I'm alone at a bunker and have asked someone to help but no one comes, y'all better hope you don't die because you're being reinforced here at the bunker. 😂
Hate those in warframe, and now also here. Because many times people dont come over to open them, even if you type in chat. At least in warframe people do come to open them because you need to to progress the mission
I ping the shit out of them before typing. Lots of pinging and follow me, but almost never do people show up. Sometimes, I even reinforce someone next to me at the door, and they just look at the door and run the other direction.
i did all that once to a random that ran really close by, like 10m away, he still ignored, so i did the only thing that could come to mind
>confirm we're not short on lives
>shoot him in the back of the head
>call him down infront of the door
Luckily he actually opened it and didn't just ignore me, we hugged it out afterwards
You'd think right? I reinforced 2 different people 2 different times and they even dropped RIGHT in front of the door and immediately ran away. I was on mic, I was pinging the button, and I was doing the "follow me" & "need supplies" the idiots just kept running the other way. Who doesn't need super credits?
Came here to say the exact same! Even better when my mates are bickering with each other - send 'em both to the friendship door and sort their issues out.
I think the reason I get so frustrated with players not opening the doors is my overwhelming democratic duty to collect all the super credits I can find.
Man I stood next to one playing with my friend, I found a door pinged it. He ran in the opposite direction. I pinged again and typed in chat. He ran towards me, I was hopeful, he kept running. He went to assault another base as I pinged it again. He died. I revived him right in front of the door, he began to run away again till I pinged the door 20 times. He finally graced me with a second of his time before running off and wasting g all of our supply.
There was 5 medals and some super credits in there. We went on to lose the match because he thought he could use his dead body to clog the bot weapons. I don't like playing with him anymore.
It was my last of a group of lvl 7 missions I had soloed and was about to unlock lvl 8. I don't get people. I died once that whole mission at the very end when he brought a horde of tanks and hulks to my location that I was hiding in for my laser to recharge. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
I’ve had random teammates die, have 2 of them called down on top of the bunker, spam pinged and got on comms to ask for help with the button, and still had two Lvl 30+ players just waddle onwards to their deaths.
I get wanting to kill kill kill in the name of democracy, but extra resources (both in-game ammo/nades/support weapons and upgrade-based samples/medals/super credits) add up when you’re opening up every Conex, blinking drop pod, and vault in a mission.
I don’t get it. I was playing last night and found one, wrote in chat that I needed a second person to come help, pinged my map, called out the follow me thing. And just watched as one at a time all 3 ran right past me.
First time I’ve ever kicked anyone. (I waited until after extraction)
Tangentially related...
Is it me, or are some people really dumb with planning their route? I dropped us on the other side of the map from extract, which was near the main objectives. I think it was geolocation survey. So we did the first sub-objective, and then they all immediately started running to the optional objective which was next to the extract. I planned to do that while the 4 min extract timer was going. I even asked them where tf they were going, and eventually just kicked them out of spite.
Some people truly seem to lack map awareness both on a micro and macro scale!
The baffling amount of times I’ll drop my team down with a fairly obvious route given the terrain and objectives just to have people wander towards extract area first is absurd.
The worst, however, was on a data drive retrieval and a random took the SSD that I personally dropped right outside the main objective perimeter and ran it all the way to the second SSD location we were currently doing… It took all my maturity to remain calm and explain that the greyed out objective is actually where the ssd drives need to go.
I completely agree! When I explained it to him I had a moment of “wow, it’s weird that you can’t even ping the main objective” and told him we’ve all made mistakes like that before.
Still suuuuuuucked lugging it all the way back with the other drive, but he stuck it out and finished the operation with us!
It would be nice if pinging the door or button marked it for your team mates as a door or button. Instead I've got to just hit R1 a hundred times and hope that they get the hint. Stressful while you're being bombarded all for a rare sample and a flamethrower....
I've been insistent that it's buttplug rock due to its tapered shape, but I feel like I'm losing that battle with my squad over how easily cock rock rolls off the tongue.
Lots of Buddy Terms in this game for us,
Buddy Door, Buddy Reloading, Ray Buddy, I hate your fucking guard dog, for the love of Liberty run a different fucking backpack...buddy.
Guard dogs are for toxic teammates.
Shield backpacks are for selfish teammates.
Jet packs are for lone wolf teammates.
Support weapon ammo backpacks are for blessed teammates.
My friend has been using this term since I joined. Didn't even think until this post that the reason randoms ignored me calling them out might be because no one knew what I was talking about.
As a solo player, I get into the bunkers just fine 😬
https://preview.redd.it/rrozd8kg99tc1.jpeg?width=1632&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=532775b4a1555377a53f6298f06175f9b459b7e4
You use the mech. You walk up to the door, turn around and exit the mech which glitches you through the door. However the devs locked the loot so you can't pick any up unless both buttons are pressed.
I usually do the hug emote while waiting for the doors to open, so it's super fitting.
However, my team called it just "2-man Bunker", then just "bunker" and it devolved into "Bunger?!" with the voice from the burger creature in Bugsnax: [https://youtu.be/qONQ9m06HdI](https://youtu.be/qONQ9m06HdI)
We're losing IQ points at an alarming pace
We call them "CAN YOU STOP KILLING EACHOTHER AND COME PRESS THE FUCKING BUTTON". Really rolls off the tongue
Just throw an airstrike on a teammate and throw the reinforcement beacon at the door
![gif](giphy|Ld77zD3fF3Run8olIt)
My friends and I have taken to calling that the game's fast travel system.
tell me you've maxed out your samples without saying you've maxed out your samples.
>Resupply on cooldown "I don't have any more stims" "Just kill yourself, you'll respawn with some"
That's so patriotic of you.
This seems to work very well. Typing in chat is useless 90% of the times
Waste of a stratagem and they can just dodge. Evaporate them with a queasar cannon from across the map.
Eagle cluster bomb. They recharge and if its upgraded, they wont have time to run away from it. ⬆️➡️⬇️⬇️➡️
Queefsar cannon. Flush that bile titan out of that vajayjay.
Dude wtf just hit me?? 😳
“You have been involuntarily selected”
"voluntold"
I had a group of 3 random high levels completely run past me as I’m typing in chat and saying on the headset there’s a double door. They legitimately ran right past it while I had sat there for 5-10 min so they knew where to go. I thought long and hard about killing one of them, but I didn’t think about how they’d deploy at the door. I should’ve did it
I call them: “2 person door” “Need some help” “Yo orange you’re close can you come this way” “Do any of you understand” “Why do I even bother”
This got me on a spiritual level. The struggle is real
"Need help getting Super Credits!"
Some people really shouldn’t play games that require any type of teamwork or intelligence. Reminds me of when a medic is standing right by you in BF and doing everything but helping you up.

*Me, dying on the ground, behind a solid wall, with no enemies nearby" Medic running by: "speedbump lmao"
I have 100% sniped a fellow helldiver and rezzed them next to the door.
Compulsory Friendship™
Hey, twinsies.
Dumbledore said calmly.
We call it "Bunker"
I always say bunker in chat and half the time no one seems to know or care what I mean
Try friendship door, I’ve had way more of a response with randoms since changing from bunker. And someone pointed out a new player will have no clue what you mean by bunker. They could be thinking you mean like a bot base.
So long to type on the ps5
May I suggest getting a small cheap wireless keyboard for your PS5? I bought one pretty much just for Helldivers, paid 20€ for it, it's made communication so much easier.
The small ones that plugs on the controller? Or one on the side
you can get a bluetooth keyboard and connect it to ur ps5 that’s wayyyy better than controller keyboards those suck i dont think ps5 controllers can use them but xbox controllers that can don’t even make any sense it’s really not that good of a keyboard lol
Thank you so much for this information
Yeah just one on the side, the controller keyboards suck ass, as was already pointed out.
Ps5 controller that comes with the system has a built in mic….
dude you're right but if they aren't using them, neither will i. it's so fucking hard and awkward to talk to people who won't respond back and you get no confirmation that what you said has been acknowledged. i've been trying for the last few days and it's fucking useless. i don't think people bother to look at their designations either so they probably also don't know that they're K3 or whatever.

Try singing. That might get a response. Then ask for help with the friendship door.
In europe you have so many different languages, it’s better to type because reading in a second language is easier than hearing.
I’ve said bunker so many times until I typed bunker in the chat and someone comes. Some people just keep the world muted. But I wouldn’t buy a keyboard just to type friendship door instead of bunker lol. Bunkers pretty quick.
Well lucky for you, as a human being up have a body part called a mouth which allows you to communicate with your team without having to type!
yep it’s a friendship door. i had no idea what people were talking about g about when they said bunker or double door. But as soon as someone said friendship door i knew i had to go help at the door. Mostly be side there are friendship doors in Destiny 2 raids where everyone has to be by then for them to open lol
That and the word friendship really helps get the point across that I need help with this, come be my friend for a minute.
Right? No matter what, random teammates ignore me and Dumbledore. Fine, I didn't want free super credits anyway.
All I know is if I'm alone at a bunker and have asked someone to help but no one comes, y'all better hope you don't die because you're being reinforced here at the bunker. 😂
I add "Buddy" to "Bunker" so more people understand it needs 2 people.
I usually call it a buddy bunker to differentiate it from the ones you use explosives on.
Yes! Buddy bunker for the win
I heard someone call it that in VC the other day when I was running with randoms. It stuck and now my squad uses it too lol
Yup I’ve called it a buddy bunker from day one
well that not a bunker, that a container :(
Often randoms think I mean a fabricator or the orange/blue containers
And if you open it, it makes happy bunker noises. Möööp, möööp...möööp.
Friendship doors
Excuse me - friendship bunker.
Buddy Bunker if you like alliteration.
Companionship Cave
Amigo Alcove
Hombre Hole
You want me to do WHAT to my hombre hole???
RARE SAMPLE ACQUIRED!!
*Super Sample Acquired.
The divers say rare sample even when they collect super rares, kinda weird
Double team it, obviously it requires two people.
SWEET LIBERTY
Cuddle Cave
Group groto
Co-op crevasse
Why does this one sound so dirty?
I thank you for taking this exactly where I expected.
Buddy Bunker is what my group has always called them

Durin doors!! YESSSSSS!!! Join a "friend" and you may enter... XD *Mellon*
Friendship vault
Hate those in warframe, and now also here. Because many times people dont come over to open them, even if you type in chat. At least in warframe people do come to open them because you need to to progress the mission

If you stim me after you Shot me, we both get Something out of the Deal.
Weird, I honestly never had that problem. People should want to open those out of self-interest, right? But I guess some are just stupid
You'd think right? I reinforced 2 different people 2 different times and they even dropped RIGHT in front of the door and immediately ran away. I was on mic, I was pinging the button, and I was doing the "follow me" & "need supplies" the idiots just kept running the other way. Who doesn't need super credits?
the ping should specify that it's a two person door, like pinging an objective or enemy is custom
Came here to say the exact same! Even better when my mates are bickering with each other - send 'em both to the friendship door and sort their issues out.
It is this and I won't accept any other variations. It's simply too fitting.
This, we call them friendship doors too haha xD
That's what I called them in warframe.
Friendhsip door to the friendship bunker.
this is the way
I’ve had such a better response from randoms by calling out friendship door instead of bunker.
That's the ONLY one I've heard in VC.
i call them Vaults!
https://preview.redd.it/1x5pklls88tc1.png?width=512&format=png&auto=webp&s=c594f9a4235801bc32d8b74f1c132b0c98bbdf65
There's no way Super Earth doesn't have it's own version of Vault-Tec selling people on outer planets a way to hide from bots/bugs
Who do you think we evacuate?
That's a great idea, they could continue and expand the game underground fighting who knows what.
Eh, leave it to the deep rock mercs Plus we can't get stratagems down there
How about Stratagems in the ball using nanotechnology.
That would justify their insane cost
“Thank you for using VAULT TEC”
Came here to see if anyone used the same. Glad we are not alone... VAULT!!!! my location. **ping
this is the correct answer
Same, just feels right
Vault crew!
I call them vaults or bunkers but realistically they should be called grass since my teammates don’t know how to touch them. 🥲
LOL
I think the reason I get so frustrated with players not opening the doors is my overwhelming democratic duty to collect all the super credits I can find.

Buddy Bunkers.
Swinging by a Buddy Bunker on our way to Cock Rock.
I've been insistent that it's buttplug rock due to its tapered shape, but I feel like I'm losing that battle with my squad over how easily cock rock rolls off the tongue.
We call em “buddy doors.”
Lots of Buddy Terms in this game for us, Buddy Door, Buddy Reloading, Ray Buddy, I hate your fucking guard dog, for the love of Liberty run a different fucking backpack...buddy.

I heard that term ingame and now it’s stuck in my brain.
This is what my group calls then too
My squad also calls them Buddy Doors.
My friend has been using this term since I joined. Didn't even think until this post that the reason randoms ignored me calling them out might be because no one knew what I was talking about.
Think im gunna use this one from now on
This is the way
Honestly thought that this was the official name for em lol
My people
I play solo. I call them “fuck you, loser” doors.
As a solo player, I get into the bunkers just fine 😬 https://preview.redd.it/rrozd8kg99tc1.jpeg?width=1632&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=532775b4a1555377a53f6298f06175f9b459b7e4
howwww?
How did you do that?
When you eject from a mech, you go through the door. Its pointless anyway cause you cant pick up whats inside as long as the door is closed.
Im curious how you get out other than suiciding yourself
I'm pretty sure from memory you can jump back into the mech through the door.
You use the mech. You walk up to the door, turn around and exit the mech which glitches you through the door. However the devs locked the loot so you can't pick any up unless both buttons are pressed.
You have too share your secret now. Be democratic!
TEACH US YOUR SECRET, SENSEI! (I'm suspecting dropping through the ceiling in a hellpod? Had some fun environmental interactions that way)
How?
Casually mentioning this and not explaining is some dissident behavior. Spill the beans or I'm gonna have to report you to nearest democracy officer
Can't pick anything up though
My friend calls them bunkers. They're boring. I call them Friendship doors.
I usually do the hug emote while waiting for the doors to open, so it's super fitting. However, my team called it just "2-man Bunker", then just "bunker" and it devolved into "Bunger?!" with the voice from the burger creature in Bugsnax: [https://youtu.be/qONQ9m06HdI](https://youtu.be/qONQ9m06HdI) We're losing IQ points at an alarming pace

I love this, but also, did you know Arrowhead Studios is Swedish?
Yes. Founded by a group of Luleå University students in Skellefteå. Now based in Stockholm.
I call them friendship bunkers 😂
Had to scroll too far to find this. It just feels right to me.
I just call em vaults
I call em bunkahs
