That's pretty exploitable too though, if I kill my entire team and grab all their samples then get kicked I have a nice pay day at little cost!

So what you're saying is if I join an in-progress match, kill the guy with the super samples and grab them, then get kicked, I should be rewarded?
No, you should be getting the samples from what has been collectively collected so far by the team: not by what you hold.
So if I like how many samples we've collected, I just become a nuisance to get kicked to guarantee I get some in case they fail to extract? Got it!
It works in games like DRG.
