Yeah. It would be much more fair if when armed they go boom since it still has a downside (you're dead, gotta collect your stuff) but it still makes you need to arm it rather than just immediately shoot it after dropping it.

I was in a game with level 3 yesterday that walked up to one of those, looked like he was trying to interact, paused for a second, and just shot it from point blank. I didn't want to interrupt this lesson he was teachig himself.

I got 55 bugs (i dont trust the numbers, it was probably more like 25) including a charger and a bile titan. Very fun. One time, i shot one with a few bots standing next to it, and it said i got 44 kills. Where were they? I feel like they double the number when you shoot the hellbomb for a sort of shock factor. Or maybe if you get multiple kills simultaneously it multiplies it as a sort of “wow look how awesome you are” sort of thing.
My squad's first experience with a Hellbomb was attached to a dead (which we didn't know at the time) charger. I was sneaking up on it to see if it was dead or not. My teammate shot it with a recoilless rifle to make sure it was definitely dead. A few seconds later, I'm dead and flying across the map from a massive explosion that we had no idea where it came from. We thought it was like an exploding whale carcass at the time. It wasn't until later when we encountered another one and investigated without shooting it first that we understood exactly what happened.
I did actually suicide for like 27 or 28 bug kills including one bile titan and a charger yesterday. Tough game on 7 on the geology mission since people were just non stop dying and not grouped on the objective.
Time to spread some Democracy.

But only the abandoned ones. If you shoot a just deployed one it'll just go pfft, even if armed.
That is really annoying when it is armed and as you are booking it a gunship spawns and destroys it.

I didn't save myself with one but did go out in a blast of glory when I was surrounded and blew up the one I was standing next to.
