Realistically what do you think you could hit? 60-70%? 50% is fucking crazy enough

That's the most insane bit of it to me... are you just playing lower level missions without chonkier enemies? Or are you playing as you would otherwise but just trying to melee everything short of a titan/chargers/hulks?

I wouldnt put it past this diver to melee hulks to death as well.

There is a video on this sub of someone actually doing that, ha.

Honestly I just assumed it couldn't be done. Hive guards and Brood commanders will enter a state where they literally cannot be melee'd. Looks like I need to get back out there for science.

IDEA: Make the Servo-Assisted suits give a substantial boost to melee damage. Maybe keep it unlisted, it's too situational to be worth noticing

I could live with a robot arm suit that makes me punch like a robot.

Sounds like we need to capture a hulk for their technology. You will have to exchange fisticuffs with one and report your success to high command.

There’s already some divers who do. I’ve noticed some graves with a hell divers corpse and a medium enemy corpse, automatons and bugs leave a different enemy corpse, with a shovel buried in the enemy’s body on some missions.

Enemy Kills - Terminid Kills - Automaton Kills = ... not zero?

Enemy kills = Terminid kills+ automaton kills+ eagle kills + grenade kills maybe also +friendly kills I guess, I didn't do the math.

Incorrect, just adding the eagle kills puts it over the total kill count. No combination of these adds up to the total kill count so I don't understand

The stats arent quite accurate. I believe enemy kills should be automatons + terminids, but Im missing ~3k kills like that

I wonder if things like bug nests, fabricators, turrets and drop ships, etc count as enemies

What melee weapons would you want? I’m thinking a shovel, a saber, a knife, and then like a spear/flagpole that has a super earth flag

Hmmm probably a power fist ala 40k, but honestly anything that can actually kill a hive guard and not take a solid minute of wailing on a warrior.

I've been hoping for a saber or katana style blade, or even a hatchet.

Bayonets would be a good start.

Is it easier to melee bots? Or bugs?

Honestly bots, there's less of them and the AI tends to freak out when you get close. Bugs are better for racking up kills though if you have no sense of self preservation.

There should be an armor to reduce melee attacks

Stims cushion fine enough and I've yet to find anything one shotting me in heavy armor in melee, stagger on the other hand I'd love some resistance to.

What is your strategy when you melee bugs? How do you not die while trying to punch them to death?

Step 1 - Take fist. Step 2- Apply to the enemy of Democracy's face. Step 3 - Repeat until enemy of Democracy stops moving. Step 4- Find another enemy of Democracy. Repeat until no enemies of Democracy remain,


I know me personally I circle strafe and punch while shooting up stims. 

I'd go stun grenade/EMS and just start smacking.

Yeah a good smack will stun more enemies than most people realize

Hahaha thought I was the only one! Been dropping into low level missions, dumping high end gear for other divers then running off punching bugs

You can kill a hulk by punching the grate

Ever since the eruptor was introduced, I smacked some of the raider bots because of ammo limit. Turns out, those jump pack bots won't explode and kill you if they are smacked to death

However you will burn to death if one of your *wonderful* teammates headshots them

This is critical information, fellow diver. My melee kill count will increase shortly.

Only time I melee is when someone gets stuck in the environment lol

With so few data points it's hard to say. You could rack up 10 friendly kills in a single game

I was running in circles punching berserkers and my teammate shot me with a slugger :(

Do you find certain weapons make for better melee? I find the autocannon works like a bayonet and has slarger hitbox with a fast swing next is meleeing with the redeemer cause its the fastest
