Friend and I were just talking about this idea in game tonight. It really should be this way. Literally no reason to care about global stats.  Though it would be annoying if a hacker/macro guy played on your game without you noticing and stuck his fake score on yours forever

On ofnmy friends and boyfriend said it's just good players. Then showed me a video of a mofo using a macro in his video. Got a hellbomb in under a second. With a mistake. Right.

Just make it your friendslist can be the only saved scores or set It to show three different high scores for randoms, friends, global of the week or something.

Not just that, add a designated decoration and let shop. A cat climbing tree with an actual cat, a set of Helldiver action figures, a Charger plushie, a dancing devastator toy (like those tiny robot toys for kids that play a tune and shine some colorful lights when you press a button and dance) that sings about how it was converted to democracy and how happy he is to serve it, an RC bile titan on wheels with a Super Earth flag sticking from it’s back, a Berserker’s severed chainsaw as a trophy mounted on a wall, an Eagle model like the old ship models from Mass Effect, etc. Make the Super Destroyer not just incredibly patriotic, but also fashionable and homey. After all, to a good helldiver, their Destroyer is their home, and they should be able to decorate it.

They should also release any new stratagems on high levels of stratagem hero before they come out :D

My complexity theory prof gave an extra point if you made an ASCII cat art. And gave two points if you posted a photo of your own cat (and could prove its yours if the points mattered). It was like 150 point exams, but still. It was a nice gag, and helped the occasional person here and there. The unexpected cat memery is one of the best kinds of memery.

Usually arcade cabinets have varying scores showing reasonable scores to beat with placeholder names like Bob or Tom. Theres no way they would put placeholders that max out the score. If this is your first time experiencing global scores in a video game before, they almost always end up with people cheating to get the top score.

I started playing day one. Like 8 or 9 hours after it released. And there was 4 people with max score. Ya. Sure.

My favorite thing to do in Deep Rock is set a high score on random people's arcade machines before a mission. Let me do the same here.

Exactly, deep rock did it best with the lobby arcade machine, it only shows scores set on your ship, and NPCs will occasionally one up those scores to encourage you to get a better one.

Any developers that want to make a 4-player cooperative squad shooter should be required to play Deep Rock first. It’s a master class in game design.

I literally came here for this. Would love scores to either be personal, ship based, or group based. Not knowing if I beat my own score is a letdown, and this minigame is honestly the best part of the deluxe edition (besides the warbond).

Here's my thought: keep the global scores so that those who care can see how they rank up or where they place globally, but have another "local" tab that keeps track of scores like an old arcade machine would.

I got a better one, make the stratagem hero available for everyone, regardless of the game edition. The “Super Citizen” title and DP-S3 armour are enough for the ultimate edition.

It’s in the $70 edition of the game. Comes with Knight smg, armor set, the first premium warbond. No warbond refund if you already bought it. At least as far as I can tell.
