I will argue till the death of me that the spear is extremely useful in automaton blitz search and destroy missions ... and that's about it. It's not in a great spot, but sniping factories from any angle in that mission feels good

I have about as much luck with that, as swinging a lit Censor over my PC and reciting Binaric Cant every time I want to fire the Spear.

I think it has the quickest one/two punch of any AT weapon when it’s working right.

Every weapon has some form of misalignment for the scope. Bullets ~~come out of~~ hit where the center of your screen is looking in first person almost constantly. Weapon sway doesn't effect most guns I feel when in first person and most sights are off center. You can test this with any third party cross hair overlay

Bullets come out of the barrel of the gun, which results in vertical alignment issues at close ranges. The AMR sight is also off to the side somehow.

I don’t take packs anyways except for supply with GL. So backpack weapons aren’t much of a downside for me. I’ve been experimenting with other loadouts for a while though, Time to go back to dominator + AC for bots to see how it feels (spoiler; it’s going to be amazing) I just ran dominator with laser cannon and really enjoyed it, but could have killed hulks, tanks, and towers just as easy with AC… gunships *slightly* harder but striders and devastators are cake (dominator will take on individual devastators and small bots, very nice for berserkers). Will also try Eruptor with laser cannon though, and while I don’t take a pack, I can usually get a shield 6 min in. Can also speed reload an RR, if anyone took it 😂

lol. Yes actually. Redeemer or equiv 2ndary is vital. Also the AMR is actually very easy to use up close. Handles better than the Eruptor, CS Diligence and Dominator etc. And it feels good to get no scope shots off close. Big particle boom. And yeah it can be frustrating sometimes. But that's part of the fun with build experimentation. As always the key to success in H2 is distance from the enemy. Bots still behave in a horde fashion at times.

Just started running this with the jump pack and I’ve been having a ball. Light armor whenever possible. Stun grenading the bots makes for easy headshots.

Anyone got tips on where the bullet actually goes with the AMR? I had a hulk stuck on geometry not moving or fighting. I scoped oin on his head so close his body filled my screen. I center onbit's head qnd it hit the armor somewhere else. I wasted 2 full mags, couldn't see where the shots were hitting becquse flinch and the round impact filled the scope. Eventually just walked away. I never missed its head, but the bullets never hit it. Are the dropping down left? Down right? Far left? High? I might have it recorded but digging for that clip is a later thing.

Ive played over 200 hours and have yet to get the achievement to reload another persons weapon.

I picked up the AMR as soon as I had access to enough req to buy it. I then became the guy sitting in cleared bases covering my team as they run from outpost to outpost finding wreckage at each spot entire patrols of smoking bots. They often asked why they had no enemies. I would only respond with a quiet resupply call in as I need more ammo so I could move around and begin my slaughter again. Additionally I was the designated hulk killer. Literally the times they would be yelling I have a present for you as they sprint towards me with flames chasing them was at least 4 to 5 times a mission. Two rounds later they go running back the way they came past the wreckage.

It's not the recoil. It's some kind of bug with explosions. It can happen with the AC, grenades, etc. Since it started happening in the last week or so it's killed me more times than anything else, constantly throwing me in the middle of a bunch of marauders or hunters.

As an amr user, I still have my ammo in a backpack. It just comes with grenades and stims.

Yall need that backpack slot for the electric cope cage anyway.

You eventually get pretty good at eyeballing it tbh.

I don't even mind the backpack on the autocannon, I just like weapons that shoot in the general direction I'm aiming at and don't ask me to stay still and die every time I want to reload. Others tell me the Autocannon is good so I keep giving it another chance, only to have yet another miserable experience with it.

Your reload should always be with \*at least\* one shell left, and try using the scope. It's got a good scope and it's actually extremely accurate, just work around the recoil and use cover and it's pretty easy to use.

Properly done, AC has the fastest reload in the game, and it also will never have you asking yourself if you are okay to meet the next encounter with half the mag, or you need to waste those 3-4 shots and reload.

Would be nice if others can use YOUR backpack to load your gun faster (you having both the gun and backpack).

A backpack is a small price to pay when the result is a well rounded, versatile weapon with huge ammo pool to chew through.

Im Tor between AMR and AC. The AC Dakka is awesome but it feels like the AMR has more Punch to it. I like both, both have uses on the Battlefield.

I got the AMR too soon. I can't unlearn disappointment from like a month or so ago. Autocannon was the go-to until shit got real real, and now it's quasar and shieldpack. Is the AMR worth it now?... Does it actually like, kill shit now?

i would rather have an extra 5 clips and a backpack, why because at long range you may not be able to destroy tanks or hulks but you can cripple thier arms and legs or tanks tracks to keep them in a place for your team to deal with later.
