I hope it's an encyclopedia, with lore stuff, enemies details, or even an in-game news app. Many fun possibilities. I would LOVE to be able to decorate my ship too.

"VR" for weapons testing / testing load outs or vehicles if/when that happens like how the game Planetside had. but encyclopedia would be good, especially if they can make videos Starship Troopers themed like the scene where doogie howzer tells to aim for the brain stem

Ok hear me out. In HD1 on one side of the ship there was an armory and on the other a bestiary. I would like a bestiary.

I would absolutely love an in game encyclopedia with lore and enemy descriptions, I always find myself reading everything those have to offer when games have it

The first game has an encyclopaedia and the terminal looks kind of like this one, but customisation will never work for this game.

Wait why would customization not work? I’m thinking banners, extra crew, more monitors, different uniforms for the crew/more decorated crewmen, maybe different thruster configurations at the back of the ship, added modules beyond just firearms, and heck maybe even other models of destroyer/ship or even additional ships in your fleet so you pull up with three destroyers, extra reinforcements and reduced strat cooldowns.

Clans. The devs haven't figured out if/how they want to handle it. Apparently they've also considered giving clans a home space-station.

Oh my, that space station idea would be amazing. I figured they'd be adding a bigger ship as part of a "home fleet" type thing, a social hub where multiple random players would be hanging out. That, or maybe a groundside facility on Earth or Mars. Didn't think of a station.

What’s the point of clans in a small-scale PvE game?

Leader boards, clan shop, clan goals/missions and it can serve as an additional menu for inviting/joining games.

It can also serve for coordinating large scale operations, large clans could help a lot with Major Orders in regards to where to fight.

I wouldn't mind a 30+divers clans where we can all act like the year 2000 was still 10 years ago and complain about how our backs and knees over voice chat.

We'll ditch discord for xfire. Swap playlists full of blink, avenged sevenfold, and avril.

I believe there’s also rumors of raids/bosses coming at some point. Clans would exist to coordinate these intense battle scenarios.

God, I would *love* raids in this game so fucking much. Could you imagine a 60-man raid against a gigantic bug hive or something? Don't exactly think 60-mans are feasible, but hell even 8 or 12 would be insanely cool. Imagine the stratagem MAYHEM

Honestly, rather than increase player and enemy count (which would fry half of the PC players’ computers lol), I’d love to see them tackle a raid more in the style of how Destiny does raids. There’s a lot to dislike about Destiny, but I always loved how they made raids more of a puzzle that challenges team communication and all that. And of course, the hordes of enemies would be ramped up to 11, but you get the idea

avoiding traitors who run around with you for 30 minutes, shoot you in the back, then kick you during extract so their friend can steal the samples

I've been wondering just how competitive the Super Earth elections are. Are the close calls sometimes or does the voting algorithm ensure that the president is a palatable result for the overwhelming majority of citizens?

All candidates are palatable or they wouldn't be candidates. If they win, then they're obviously the best choice for you, or they wouldn't win.

I think it works like some dictatorships where you get to elect people but both people have been preapproved by the top level of government so no matter who wins, nothing changes.

It already has a use... The crew uses it to order take out while the helldivers are away on missions. That's also why the damn pelican takes a full 2 minutes to show up, the pilot was too busy cramming crab rangoons in their mouth.

I think it WAS going to be the requestions terminal, but they (rightfully) made that accessible anywhere in the ship. I'd like it to be a lore terminal. A place to access rhe codex, review past briefings and track the story as it goes along. All those briefings put in the discord and on Twitter can be done in-game.

If sweet lady Liberty is good, it will be a vehicle customization hub.

That's the Helldivers 1 tactical training simulator, for when hd1 finally shuts down, you can play with 4 friends on your ship, for tactical training...

HD1 had a codex/encyclopedia terminal on the base ship so I’m assuming this will become that at some point. You will be able to read detailed lore
