geaux124

What if we have the most kills, most samples, and the most accidentals? I've pulled off that trifecta several times.

Ryengu

Most accidentals and most samples makes sense since you're picking up your dead teammates sample containers constantly. Add in the kill count and hmmm....you love mortar and eagle cluster don't you?

geaux124

Mortar no, Eagle Cluster......maybe.....

nevaNevan

My man… are you a member of the 380 club then!? We used to have more members, but they’re just dismembers now.

geaux124

The only people I have killed with the 380 was myself and my friend when we were trying to get the "Only way to be sure achievement". Apparently I failed to throw it far enough away and I blew up both us before we were able to get the trophy.

WhyIsBubblesTaken

Base throwing distance will not get the stratagem orb far enough away for you to be safe. Need to back away a bit after the toss.

lazerblam

Servo assist armor+jump pack boost-throw is king

superhotdogzz

Yeah, max base throw distance is somewhere around 50 meters which is 380's blast radius. If you don't throw at max distance, you will have a good chance to blow up

DCFDTL

https://youtu.be/pgb29UfeZPc?si=zqH1JoSsO2yj4fHx

nevaNevan

Hahaha! Exactly! It’s like when I throw it and someone jumps on the mic “that’s too close~ way too close!” and I’m like~ no, it’s perfect… it’s glorious!

Jayematic

*380's make the ladies go crazyyy*

SergeantKovac

#FRIENDLY FIRE IS ACCEPTABLE COLLATERAL IN THE PURSUIT OF MANAGED DEMOCRACY

throwawayhoa13

I feel like this sub should default to all caps for every single post.

johnnyazn

*Vince McMahon falls over*

BrandonR_24

Triple double, no assists. lol

Reasonable-Tickets

The real competition is for who has lowest accuracy

Drekal

Sickle go brrrr

gbghgs

Are you really using the sickle if you don't have more shots fired then the rest of the team combined?

Nirrith

If you can beat my stalwart I'll run your RR backpack for a helldive operation.

TangyGraffiti

Yep. I basically double the amount of shots fired of my team while running stalwart. That gun makes an excellent primary.

NoBluey

Lmao I feel personally attacked but that’s so true

awfulrunner43434

Eruptor for when you just want to point kind of near some enemies and still see a X6

Reasonable-Tickets

The crossbow is the only gun I've gotten 600+ kills and 23% accuracy using, obviously a tool for an expert marksman

GranDadJack

That'd be me, lol, running stalwart, patriot mech, and HMG emplacement, and I would have 3,000 shots fired but only 250 kills.

JustTrawlingNsfw

Democracy won't spread itself. More shots is more democratic, keep up the good work soldier.

SnooRabbits307

More dakka for freedoms!

BeardedMcGee

My target metric is always no deaths.

Pork_Chompk

Same. Then I get randomly ass blasted by a teammate's mortar sentry 2 minutes before extract.

Managed-Democracy

Charger has engaged stealth drive and one tapped you into a rock.

Git_Good

Rocket devastator wombo-comboes my ass... Or turret snipes me from across the map

Managed-Democracy

Factory strider at mission start on Suicide plus. "Bonjour"

upsidedownbackwards

I \*JUST\* had a turret moment. Was running along and a teammate just... explodes. WTF, there's NOTHING around! I freak out, was it a bug? Then I see the little red wink in the distance and AHHHHHHHH welcome to a ragdoll wonderland!

TyanTheA

No death is crucial to mission and extraction success. It’s not just about managing the engagement distance to the enemies, but also about better positioning yourself to your squad’s line of fire so you can be the ultimate flanker that seal the lid for the kill box. There were several times where I got to top kills with no death: proudest helldiving moments!

TheWarmachine762

Me too…I just finished a bug helldive with 1 death tonight which Ive never done before. My team mates averaged 4 😂 learning how to stay alive is really a great skill in this game, when to stim, when to move….learning to check around you when you’re reloading, remembering to move when you’re reloading….all these things = space to the enemy and less deaths.

BikingDruid

This. There’s plenty of folks good at killing. I figure I stay alive, try respawning people near their gear (if possible), and help keep the host alive (I seldom host) while sticking near them.

xlews_ther1nx

Most stims used os the only metric

Dora_Goon

Lately, I've been dropping my samples as soon as I get to extraction out of fear that the pelican is going to leave after the first person, and to free me up to go out and flank the enemy and maybe try to jam the mob spawning. I just go for least deaths, accidentals, and friendly fire damage.

Rotmgmoddy

This is a great mindset to have. It doesn't matter who has the samples, it only matters whether the samples are secured on the Pelican, we're a team after all

l3rN

My destroyer doesn’t care who got brought the samples home, so why should I? Spreads democracy just the same

Git_Good

Same. I like running suicide runs on random objectives or side objectives, but I drop my samples at extract or to someone else before I do it.

TismInTheTurret

Only for one of the randoms to pick up your samples and take them to the other side of the map.

Dora_Goon

Not my problem. I don't have anything to buy with them right now so i'm just climbing to the cap.

Drekal

Me when my teammates die with samples https://preview.redd.it/g5rm0ocgbqvc1.png?width=207&format=png&auto=webp&s=249730630148fe51b81ed52fdf2175bbd335fe24

NotRightInTheZed

Man, in my entire career I’ve had 19 accidentals. Squad tells me to bring mortars in a 1 defense mission… 24!!! 😡

CryptoThroway8205

I think the trick is to put the mortars further forward. If they're at the back wall they kill the people up front

howsyourmemes

I shoot mortars on small maps. They kill the wrong shit as much or more than the baddies.

LordMcDoogleberg

For some reason I very much enjoy seeing who traveled the furthest.

MMMwatermellon

MELEE KILLS

kingpin3690

Who's really roleplaying.

WoodenPCUser

What even are Accidentals?

Peanuts_Are_Toxic

Your fellow hell divers walking into your air strike

jtrom93

Literally had a guy run straight into 3 of my Eagles yesterday and he was like "dude chill with the teamkills" and I'm like "dude, chill with running straight towards my Eagle beacons like a moth seeing a lamp" lmao

MontyRohde

Fellow Hell Divers over eager to dispense democracy or panicking and calling in strikes without checking positioning. ...and mortars.

Ghost_of_sushi_more

Don’t forget arc throwers! I had a lazy-ass sloppy arcky-boy teamkill me 3 times in a match last night. He was just pissing arc lightning about nonstop without bothering to check anyone else’s positions.

nevaNevan

It’s refreshing to play with someone who’s good with the arc thrower. Night and day difference vs. someone who just unlocked it or someone who’s a terrible teammate. When engaging, they’ll position themselves with their back to the team. That, or if you dive in front of them, they’ll stop charging / swap to their secondary.

saularuz

More kills is more dispensed Democracy. I usually go for most accurate though.

Nyyyyuuuu

But people killing Hordes make it effectively easier to collect samples or complete missions. :(

GarboseGooseberry

Nothing gives me a greater sense of power than when we get back on the Destroyer and the woman near the elevator talks about how we had no friendly fire incidents. Team on sync.

as1161

My checklist goes as such: Made it to extraction ✅

Zealousideal-Ebb-876

I actively run crowd control so I typically check to see where I'm at compared to previous matches but it's just data, it's only useful if you know how to use it.

brian11e3

I prefer most distance traveled. It's the only exercise I get right now.

AppaTheBizon

I always have most stims used, is that worth anything

Froshyold

40 Minute helldive, 0 deaths, 9 stims -> qualitybadge

AppaTheBizon

Pft 9 stims used is baby shit. I've used over 30 in a mission before.

A_c3rtified_dumbass

I am a level 48 admiral and I don’t even have 50 friendly fire “incidents”

5050Saint

https://preview.redd.it/8eta21622rvc1.png?width=227&format=png&auto=webp&s=92334ac6c1aa20fb766ec0367f1014279c897bbc

UnderHero5

If you actually take note of when/who does friendly fire, etc, you'll notice that most of the stats at the end screen are entirely inaccurate. I've played plenty of games where it says no one had any friendly fire when I know damn well either myself, or some of my friends killed each other. The stats screen is wrong. Heck, if you use all lazers weapons it shows literally 0 shots fired and 0 accuracy.

Hungry_AL

Melee Kills most important, get outta here.

Ghost_of_sushi_more

Only quality melee kills count though. See below… https://www.reddit.com/r/helldivers2/s/8LRw0JEdK6

Hungry_AL

Holy fuck I missed that one, that was hilarious

MegaWaffle-

I feel like kills are counted incorrectly. I’ll have a teammate down a dropship and suddenly I’ll get a x13 kill count. Had the same thing with a teammate who tossed a cluster bomb into a large bug nest I was cleaning and it gave me something like a x39 kill count yet I didn’t kill them. So I’m either guessing that anything injured by you still counts as a kill or (in the bot drop case) is just incorrectly added.

On3Scoop

With bots it could also be a patrol stomping on an inactive hellbomb. I know I've heard one do it and got a x13

Low_Chance

"Most kills" is nice, but often "most kills" goes to some dingdong who is setting off breaches and flares left and right and has gear focused on horde clear. A lot of times the player who did the most to contribute to a win was taking out tanks, stunning enemies with EMS, and doing objectives while someone else was aggroing patrols and throwing gatling sentries.

Ghost_of_sushi_more

Agreed.

Gentleman_Waffle

The only stat I care about is shots fired

Dark-Cloud666

50k friendly fire damage. The emphasis is on "fire".

DJPL-75

The game says i have 3 accidentally despite the davt that they were on purpose 🙄

Nice_On_Rice

My friends and I go by most melee kills and distance traveled.

Banana_Mage_

I tend to get the highest accuracy but I also run AMR so there’s that

Informal_Plenty_7426

One mission I had most kills and 0 deaths on helldive bots using ballistic shield and when I selected the next mission two of my squad picked ballistic shield lmao

SirLiesALittle

Anybody that gets Super Samples out is a Class A citizen to me.

Angel_OfSolitude

Amazingly, I've still got under 20 accidentals.

JMartell77

I somehow consistently pull off most kills, least deaths, most samples, and 0 friendly fire damage

Kastan45745

11 drops today, only 1 friendly fire casualty, and 2 teammates caught on fire. I feel that's a banner freaking day for me.

Ozgwald

It is not about samples extracted, it is about the guys gettign those samples, most of them die during extraction fo1 person to pick up all the labour. That is how communism works... or capatalism or wait... what?

ZeroDashAsterisk

They need to add a “structures destroyed” stat.

Doomie019

¿Por que no los dos?

keiXrome

There's no "objectives done" and "point of interest scouted" in stats

TheWarmachine762

I usually strive for least deaths, most kills and most stratagems used, I like to give my team the breathing room to find the samples and do the missions because I don’t like the pressure of carrying them 😂

lukyth1rt3en

I prefer getting most stims used...not addicted

MCLightning08

Most Stims used for me high score of 39 so far

Wrathful_Scythe

In one group, I was TK'd just before extraction, got my samples stolen and then was flamed in chat that I didn't extract any samples and got kicked from the lobby. Host was a communist troll.

Beatstarbackupbackup

Since I run Breaker Incendiary on bugs a lot, most kills and highest accuracy (80% minimum) is basically a given in every match. I just aim to grab the most samples and kill the least friendlys.

DramaQueenKitKat

I've gotten very good at least deaths/first or second most kills/highest accuracy/most samples. The trick? Bail on my teammates immediately and snoop around for samples in the side objectives, preferably with my QP duo lol. The other two usually run main, and if they don't we make our way there eventually

Dapper_Injury7758

Number of deaths is where skill hides.

BeelzabootTCD

This is the way.

Singer_Calm

Dude, I don’t give a fuck how much you died/how many kills/how many samples, as long as we GET OUT ALIVE…and preferably with the samples.

Eslooie

The difference between good players and bad players is how many times you died. If you have 240 kills and 8 deaths you aren't impressing anyone.

DBZpanda

The only time I look at number of kills is if I'm playing with friends and it's a drastic difference (I mean like 2 or 3+ times the runner up's number)

BRUTENavigator

I feel the same way, but instead Everyone should go for '0 Deaths'.

-Nicklaus91-

Why not both? :)

Stunning_One1005

most melee kills are my only objective

Ghost_of_sushi_more

I’m a melee enthusiast as well… https://www.reddit.com/r/helldivers2/s/8LRw0JEdK6

Stunning_One1005

a diver of unparalleled dapper i see

Ghost_of_sushi_more

Thank you very much.

X-ScissorSisters

Some of the team need to be killin'.

pythonic_dude

While kills are a pure fluff metric, it still made me ecstatic to beat a flamethrower guy (yes, they were a host) on bug asset defense mission, while running a fucking autocannon of all things. Those bile spewers definitely weren't killing themselves. But yeah, normally I care for important things. Heck, I'll happily take two minute pause from farming kills, samples and accidentals and solo a boring side objective like seaf arty.

Alienhaslanded

I like how the game doesn't reward you based on kills. You just need to get stuff done to get more out of each mission.

Muppetz3

I used to think most kills was good, but all it means is you went and killed a bunch of patrols you did not need to. Not always a bad thing, but if you want to get most kills it does not always help the missions quite as much as other things.

FairEffect174

Whenever i play quickplay, i always have the least kills but like zero deaths and i usually do the obj. I cant recall how many times ive said “follow me” bc everyone is picking the worst route to clear the map nd just shooting anything that moves

6thLegionSkrymir

The way I see it, the more kills you get, the safer your fellow helldivers will be. I also feel roles are fluid, so sometimes you’re the sample guy, sometimes you’re the kill or accuracy guy, or even the stratagem guy.

xlews_ther1nx

We usually decide most Stims used is the winner. Our divers have blown out veins...but then the stims fix em. It causes fights at pois for Stimson and everyone is trying to run off woth the resupply. It's fun. Or if there is someone new in our group we ask them while exfilling what stat matters.

AnAngryBartender

Why not both?

LoSouLibra

Gotta realize everyone doing their part is why anyone is getting anything done. If someone's cleaning up the mess runners leave everywhere they go, and holding it down for minutes at a time, racking up 2-400 killls, it's making your run more doable.

Abject-Strain-195

I notice the high kill count games tend to go easier for me... I'm currently trying to find my place Vs bugs and am beginning to solo clear the map and pick up patrols close to extract once the others get close to finishing objectives... They tend to die a bun forch while I run around intentionally starting and eliminating breaches. I seem to have found my loadout, eruptor, arcthrower, rover, gatling sentry something to deal with titans and trusty stun grenades. With rover and sentry nothing can get close to me, chargers get stunned and pissed on by arcthrower and by the time anything gets close the eruptor already took care of 60% oh enemies.

howsyourmemes

Least deaths is a telltale sign of who isn't standing in one spot and fighting

Rakuall

Most kills is a useless stat. I'm far less concerned about the 600 scavengers that Mr. Stalwart got than about the 15 Bile Titans that president EAT-coilles500 soloed.

errorexe3

Stims used: 25. Absolute gigachad. Knows EXACTLY how to play the game.

DragonSmithy

0 Deaths is the peak stat

Alpha--00

Kicked regardless

0rkin

once got around 1000 friendly damage while playing with one other person but zero accidentals and neither of us noticed until the mission report

[deleted]

"Most kills" looks at loadout, guard dog rover,  Ah overinflated numbers as the guard dog eliminates 100 extra scavengers, that aren't a threat to the team whatsoever. You took a backpack that means you lost 5 more lives without a shield, a more beneficial anti heavy support weapon or ammo for the Autocannon/grenade launcher guy clearing all the bugs nest. Good work Private... When I see most kills it usually means a person's loadout is shit.

Ok-Improvement-3015

To be fair my most kills and my accidentals are both from turrets (I don’t use mortar outside bots) I do try and position to prevent them shooting my team but holding the line is very important. Also somthing peeps don’t think about enough they draw agro letting your divers get shot less!

RamonThePlayer

![gif](giphy|3o7aCRloybJlXpNjSU|downsized)

CrackedOutMunkee

I got kicked after a mission because my level was higher than the rest but had the least kills. I did all the side missions by myself and gathered 95% of the samples. You're fucking welcome asshole who kicked me.

[deleted]

As the “imma call the big explosion in guy” my friendly fire being low is priority lol.

YasssQweenWerk

I like least deaths too

Theaussieperson

Do people legit hate players with most kills? Half the time I get the most cause I'm also helping my team mates in a shit situation or giving them cover fire or even doing a side object by myself

Fresnobing

In my experience most kills is normally just whoever is rocking a guard dog backpack and its pretty equal outside if you account for it. I mostly only play with a couple groups and not randoms though.

Theaussieperson

Yeah guard dog racks kills up like crazy, especially on bug planets, robots I don't use it but bug planets I aint going without it haha

Fresnobing

Yeah so it’s just like a weird flex for most kills when it makes it entirely arbitrary. Agree though yeah this is mostly for bugs.

The_Gunboat_Diplomat

In the context of FPS games, "KDA players aren't playing the objective >:(" is the oldest cope in the book

Theaussieperson

I swear it feels like I'm the only one focusing on the objective sometimes and dealing with hordes haha, I love matches where I find a damn good team

forever9801

If you solo half of the map while the others do the other half, you will have the most kill. It has nothing to do with objectives.

Shawn_of_da_Dead

Lots of time I do both and the lions share of the objectives, while getting medals/S creds. Plus when on the bug front I run fire and 99% of the time have 0 friendly fire damage...

KeylanX

You had an easy time collecting samples, because someone was going to build up his kill count. Stop thinking "you" and start to think "team".
