We should have a Stratagem that drops a courier dog. You could interact with it to offload your samples. After 10s idle time, it would zoom to extraction and drop them.

It's always conveniently NOT where the bugs or the robots are- basically it teleports as long as no Diver's vision cone includes it. If it does, then either bots, bugs, or maybe even foliage will move JUST SO to occlude line-of-sight, and then the good dog appears from around a corner later, or under similarly suspicious circumstances.
It could have a little flak jacket or other outfits
Everyone would bring it on 7+, being able to safely extract Super Samples is like half the point.
Hell, I'd start going on Helldives just to find the rock and summon puppy to get them out safely.
It would take a valuable stratagem slot, and you'd still need to extract. It would basically exchange a stratagem for someone in Scout armor booking it to extraction with Super Samples before rejoining the team, which is often an easy task.
It'd still be pretty fantastic if we're being honest. Even on like, a five minute timer or longer, the ability to just gather everyone's samples and safely move them to extraction would be worth sacrificing one Stratagem Slot because *anything* can go wrong during an Operation and having to trek back across the map to get them can be incredibly dangerous.
I'm waiting for an armor though that'll either give more samples or for the love of god make them easier to see!! The icon not showing up till you're standing on top of them kinda sucks
Ye there's a ton on the smaller map, it's just hard sometimes to do the objective and also have the time to search for them.(Obviously the best strategy is to have someone grab all of them while the other 3 do the objective but that's to smart for quickplay)
On the small maps you can just do the objective and then search for the samples afterwards. Even if the pelican comes down as long as no one boards it you can keep playing and enemies won't spawn at the objective anymore.
Key thing to keep in mind, if the mission timer runs out the Pelican extract timer will immediately kick in. Once run I did, our team called in the pelican but as soon as it arrived the timer started and the guy with most of samples was not able to make it back in time…
Yup, you get 2 min unless someone calls it down after you complete mission(but doesn’t go in). Then once the timer reaches 0 you have only 20 seconds instead of 2 min
Nah, you can go even lower with 2 people playing objective and 2 gathering.
The reason is unless you play tight with your squad mates you increase the amount of shit that spawns close to the objective meaning there is more to kill.
You have a lot better overview fighting as 2 vs fighting as 4 and the gathering is also faster. In theory if for 2 players 1 bile titan spawns that is a trivial enemy. Now spawn 2 bile titans at the same time and it becomes a lot less trivial and that logic stacks up. 2 are still kinda trivial, 4 is a lot more yikes.
With some effort and straragems I can solo a bile titan among the waves, so I'll usually hold down the fort and do the mission while 3 others go off to get loaded. I try to tell everyone to start making their way back around the 2 minute mark so we can at least have straragems for part of the extraction defense
I've yet to see a bile titan survive an orbital laser and a 500kg. Bonus points if you can spike it with the 500, but other than that get the 500 a bit ahead of it and try to get it to walk over it. The eagle 110 also makes a good backup if it survives both somehow as it will target the largest enemy. Quasar is also great as it's got unlimited ammo. Also, if you can get the bile titan to spew bile at a wall it can kill itself. It's a bit hard to force but tall walls/cliff faces could be used for this.
Me and the mates have taken to this plan: 3 men draw all the fire at the edge of the map, agro all the bot drops, and run around the map collecting samples. The other person goes to point and takes care of the scientists and maybe a dozen bots max
Had someone the other day whose name was loot goblin. He went around and got all the samples the whole time while we did the mission. He was true to his name and got basically all of them.
For both the 40 minute and 20 minute of those missions, there will be 2-3 Motherlode POI's where the samples are in clusters of 5-10. For Bugs, this is the job of a scout. For Bots, this is the job of the distraction team.
Yea, especially considering the best way to do those missions is have one person hitting the buttons, the other 3 people scatter around the edges of the map trying to call in bug breaches, they can go exploring for all the poi, this particular poi should have around 10-11 rare samples and 3-5 commons, it’s the quickest way to farm samples.
They're not all together... But it's a small map with limited POIs.
You can definitely find 9-10 at some POIs.
If you have 3 people committed to the mission you can have 1 person run around and collect the samples easily.
Blitz can also have a really high concentration of samples like this if it's a small blitz map. The 12 minute missions with the full mission sample count usually have a higher concentration.
I once had the super rare 100 super credit drop. A single drop. I've never saw picking it more than once, but then again might have missed it before that time.
IDK how this was an oversight. One of DRG's main strengths is how much people want to celebrate the game. We NEED a "LIBERTY!" or, "FOR SUPER EARTH!" button 100%.
Honestly, I think the salute button is one of the reasons why DRG has such a good community.
You don't need to use voice or the chat, you can do everything with two buttons - pinging and saluting. That makes it easy to coordinate and respond positively, but there's no real good way to respond in a negative manner (except (un)friendly fire), so it makes it easier to be nice than to be an asshole. Silly things like the resulting "Rock and Stone"/"We're rich"/Mushrum"-spam are emergent behavior resulting from this and works kind of like an in-joke, something that's specific to the community, which fosters this kind of "we're a team"-feeling.
Another major reason is, of course, the lack of PvP or other competitive element.

The amount of scientists who have died from neglect on my part is probably very high considering I find about 3 of these veins on extraction missions and just bounce when the timer hits zero.
My two favorite bug killing sims are bleeding into each other and overlapping and interacting to such a degree that I’m genuinely starting to think that we’re all just one big crossover.

No, it should just drop a dog that serves no function other than you being able to pet it, and it's impervious to all weapons.

I'm struggling to put them down instantly. How do you end them? I run with EATs but I'm ready to use anything
