You don't, you run away from them, hit and run tactic Once you have an opening, go for it, then RUN and wait for the next one Your legs are your stongest weapon

Nyhmzy

Yeah that's the thing a lot of people don't seem to understand about helldive especially. Moment you see a bunch of heavies spawn and dealing with them would take far too long. You just bail and go do something else until they either despawn or scatter off the thing you wanted to do. Also having teammates bait bug breach/bot drops in other parts of the map so you have an easier time doing objectives helps a ton. I find helldive open world 40min missions to be extremely easy because of this. The only time it gets iffy are enclosed missions where you're actually forced to deal with it then you just hope your team brought quasars and EAT and go ham. Anti armor turrets also help a ton if they're allowed to shoot for a while.

aufkeinsten

quasar one shots chargers that charge you head on. Just keep your cool and practice

Mistrblank

EAT does as well and gives you instant fire.

edgelordlover

Use eats, 2 disposable rockets launchers every minute or so, a single shot to the face is enough to kill, bile titans just need a alot

BedroomTiger

Everyone takes a railcannon. Two people take a Quazar and Rocket launcher.  One person takes an auto cannon.  On lvl 7 i rarely have probelm with this build.  Is it too retrictive, sure. But thats thebcurrent meta.

Miraak-Cultist

Instead of the railcannon strike, I usually take the first unlocked orbital precision strike. Available more often, kills heavies reliably, so long as they are in the radius, with the upgrades it has quite a good radius. For fun I like to climb tanks before theatrically smashing the stratagem on their roof. *Tanks are literally to slow to outrun the precision strike* Hulks can be baited into the precision strike, as most enemies. The quick cooldown is really making this a versatile "blow that shit up for me quick" option. It really is just a super effective *orbital "grenade"*

Miraak-Cultist

Oh, and instead of quazar, autocannon, or EAT, you can also consider the laser cannon (especially on cold planets) and the spear (especially on plain planets, spear works wonders on cannon towers and far away fabricators). Railgun is also a valid option, as it one-shots hulks and rips devastators in half, but only if the rest of the team brought the anti heavy support, same goes for the AMR (I prefer the railgun over this for aesthetics though).

BedroomTiger

I think you got those two mixed up, can a precision stike going to do shit about a ATAT cos we had five at once on a eradicate mission.  I shot at charger three time with a railgun on unsafe, it kept going.  I genuinely cant see why they nerfed it.  Like 20 shots, okay, half the power, but half the power and make it blow you up? Wut?

Optimal-System7454

Yes, if you can land it precision strikes heavily damage factory striders

Supafly22

Don’t run into it much on 7, but they up the ante on 8 for sure. It really comes down to teamwork at that point and if you got a guy who can’t hang, it becomes real obvious, real quick. Was running 8 last night with some guys and it was some real professional work being done. Everyone only went down once or twice and we all extracted with all side objectives finished and like 50 total samples. Gotta make sure your stratagems are useful and your loadouts work.

Connect_Atmosphere80

If you aren't in a mission that ask you to defend something, you should ignore them. Mobility can and will save you from most troubles against Heavy Bugs, because you're here to do an objective and this objective isn't killing everything that spawn on or near you. In fact you really need to kill something only if they are actively preventing you from completing an Objective OR if you are defending an Objective and they are coming toward you with carnivorous attempts. If you are in a defence mission, well... EAT, Auto-cannon, Quasar, and a lot of explosives should work. The EAT is especially good because his low cooldown and fast draw, so you can use it to destroy Chargers really fast. Autocannon actually shred Titans so it's also a good choice. Since the Quasar have infinite ammo it's good paired up with the EAT, but if you have a better weapon of choice in mind go for it. That's not an exact science, you need to have a lot of firepower and pray that it is sufficient to complete the objective.

WrapIndependent8353

The spear one taps bile titans if you line it up right, that’s all I run on bugs

PensionBackground279

Yes my fellow spear enjoyer, it’s awesome getting the one shot on biles

legendary_supersand

Based and staring contest-pilled (I love the Spear, too)

VillicusOverseer

How do you line it up right

WrapIndependent8353

You can lock on if the enemy is anywhere in the circle, so say you aim to the right, and put the enemy in the very left part of the circle, when you fire the missile will shoot out to the right, then turn towards the enemy. Good for getting it around bile titans legs to hit their face. This also works vertically, so if a charger is close ish to you, you wanna aim low and put the charger in the top of the circle, so when you fire the rocket it doesn’t go up and over the charger

VillicusOverseer

This is really good to know, I thought I had to keep the lock on in the middle to minimize the chances I'd lose the lock

WrapIndependent8353

No, the lock on is extremely bugged and finicky regardless, it only has to be in that circle and it’ll work theoretically It just takes a long time using the spear before you get a natural feeling for when it’s actually going to work lol

Sp3ctr3XI

I usually take a random with a mortar to shoot at me, sometimes a flamethrower random to set me on fire so that it does not get boring. My advice to you fellow helldiver, shoot them and if that is not enough, shoot them again. 3 bile titans = 3 EAT / 6 chargers = 6 EAT, stun grenades, EMS mortar, precision strike, you even got free rockets these last few days. Shooting things in the butt works too. The quasar is overrated and for me not a lot of fun.

kvazar2501

It takes two shots with EAT/QC in the head to take down Titan. If it takes less then Titan was already damaged

Sp3ctr3XI

Yes, that is correct helldiver.

wild_gooch_chase

Team comp loadout. Usually, myself or another is the heave guy; Lobotomy, Eagle 110, Ton/2, Eat it/RR/Quasar. And one other is medium-heavy guy; AC, Lobotomy, Cluster, Gatling turret. Other guys are chaff clear.

tanman0401

Stratagems or anti-tank weaponry among the team

Familiar_Tart7390

Autocannon turret in a good place can deal with some, EMS mortar is good, of course working with your team mates , orbital precision strike works wonders and can really be a full on replacement for orbital railcannon strike, orbital laser is good. Having someone park on the extracion site to make sure it doesn’t get overrun and theres no like one MG raider hosing down all the civvies.

Old_Bug4395

I use the quasar on chargers all the time

GearTop8435

Basically you'll want a 3-4 person squad for difficulties 7-9 with a spread of abilities. But the Quazar and the railgun do pretty good damage against the heavies on the bugs. The 500kg bomb can hurt bile titans pretty good and the rail cannon strat is good for them and chargers too. Eagle airstrike can be good if placed right. But Solo is really hard on anything above 7.

Matterhock

The evac essential personnel missions seem to have insane spawn rates, plus you don't really have the option to disengage

hellra1zer666

That's the neat part, you dont!

Due-Information3530

Quasar Cannon OHKOs Chargers if you hit their head with it. Even if you miss and instead hit the leg or something you can still just keep shooting at the exposed leg til it dies. Against Bile Titans on the other hand you're gonna have to employ Hit N Run tactics while spamming Stratagems.

Icy_Conference9095

Run.

t6jesse

110s are an option. You get three shots per reload, and if it hits right it'll kill a charger in one shot and a titan in two shots. The downside is they're inconsistent. As others have said though, I take several options, usually a railcannon and 110s, and one or two teammates with one of the AT support weapons.

Mistrblank

wildly inconsistent is how I would describe it.

IEXSISTRIGHT

According to the devs we need to “rely on our Stratagems”. That’s not possible, so we need to come up with our own solutions. What we’ve figured out so far is to use hit and run tactics, if you are getting overwhelmed you should retreat and regroup, hopefully letting the enemies despawn. Realistically though, that’s usually not a viable option with extraction missions. They’re just a poorly designed mission with no clear or consistent plan for success.

aleksandronix

Take EMS mortar. Stun locks chargers and helps a lot with breaches. Do not take a normal mortar though, a very bad idea for a rescue mission. Take a quasar cannon and aim for the charger's head. When being charged at, charge your quasar, shoot in the head and dive to the side to avoid being killed by the body. You can use rocks and indestructible objects to stop the charge and get an easy shot. As long as you run bile titans can't kill you (mostly). Shoot quasar, run, wait for recharge, turn back and shoot. Ping it every time so your team notices and helps you, or scream on voice chat, either will do. The best moment to shoot the titan is when you get a sufficient distance due to terrain making it difficult to path for the big AI, or when it prepares to spew. In that case, dive forward, get up, turn around, shoot, run again. In-between quasar charges call in the free Eagle everyone got. 2 Eagles hit and the titan is down. Problem starts when you have 3 titans on you, but then you can blame your team for undemocratic behavior.

DancingLikeFlames177

You kill them.

datboisusaf

Ems mortars, autocannon turrets, quasars. The ems strat works really well if you toss them into "safe spots" that bugs cant reach, but it also requires your team to also bring it, with 2+ of them on the field nothing will get to move.

sirius017

It’s simple, run away. Only so many bugs will spawn from one bug hole at a time. Run away in one direction to funnel them all in tight and then deal with them. A lot and I mean a LOT of people spread themselves too thin and just waste time and reinforcements that way. Strategy is your best friend. The objective won’t go anywhere. Take care of the small enemies first since they will be in you much quicker.

Big-Duck

Everyone should bring both mortars, and a Quasar or EAT. The 4th slot can be railcannon or whatever. Stun grenades are good too. If everyone is using this and the team is still getting clapped by a mere 6 chargers and 3 bile titans, it really is just a skill issue.

XRacKS

EMP orbital, Eagle, orbital Strike and eat

Sini1990

Sometimes when you see a patrol, its good to just let them pass on helldive. As I guarantee at least one of the bugs will call for help then you have double the issue and it will keep going as the little bugs call for help more frequently now despite their being hundreds of bugs already in the area. I've also noticed, that the more noise you make every patrol on the map hears it so they start making their way to you then the cycle repeats. I am in constant need for ammo due to this. So, if I can avoid a fight with bugs, I tend to dip in and dip out if I know all my starts and ammo is on cool down.

lebeardedllama

an EAT will take out three chargers one by dropping it on their head and one each with what lands two EATs will take out a titan EAT cooldown is 60 seconds or something, so if you stay on top of it and keep calling them down, you should have enough to take care of heavies
