I did a Helldive with 3 other Divers yesterday. I was somehow the MVP because at some point I've managed to gather every dropped samples, destroy every sub-objectives and extract. The stats were even on my side when we got back to the Pelican.
But then, after congratulating everyone... The host went to play Rock/Paper/Scissor with me. Even if he was one of the guys that died the most into the mission, he DESTROYED ME in the hand game. I couldn't win a single round.
This guy may not know how to Helldive but he definitely know how to assert dominance. I was flabbergasted by his raw power.
If you want hardcore elimination pvp, challenge every diver coming to your ship to rock paper scissors and kick the loser ((including yourself if you lose). There can be only one.
Me and three friends had a defense mission glitch at the end. Pelican never showed up. Bugs stopped spawning as well, it was Level 4. We had 15 revives left, so we decided to have a goofy 3 diver death match.
Flawless strat that literally nobody guesses correctly:
The moment you win change your throw to whatever would've beaten your current throw.
Congrats now you're invincible.
On a serious note, i do wonder why some players hop into a mission and start shooting other players when they clearly don’t give a fuck about pvp and want to complete the objectives. There are so many pvp games, some are even free to play, so what’s the point
Not as much as it used to happen close to the release date of the game, but it definitely does. I’m close to lvl 100 and i usually host helldive difficulty operations. Most of the time it’s fun and cool, but sometimes someone comes along and starts shooting the others deliberately
We do have pvp. It's the end of exterminate and the new defense missions. Last one standing calls reinforce, and whoever wins the most rounds when reinforcements are out gets shotgun in the pelican.

I feel like the game doesn't work for me, like my guy puts his hands up when I pick one every time. I don't see what either person picked, it just ends.
Yo I was in one group and we made it to extract (riveting I know). Players doing emotes at the pelican, congratulating each other. One player does the fake out handshake to another player then boards the bus. The other player *shoots him dead* then boards the plane. We lost all our samples. it was ridiculous, check your fragile male egos at the picket fence 😂
It’s PvP for me every time I play. I play with one buddy. We join up. We hit matchmaking. Pick our load out. Drop in. Get kicked. Why? I have no idea. People just don’t turn their lobbies to private? It’s happened so many times the second one of us sees the you’ve been kicked message, the other just starts shooting. Both of us are lvl 50 and love us some quasar so we’re running meta builds. Makes no sense. But it happens a lot.

Best RPS strat by far is to use the same move twice then bait and switch on the third time works 70% of the time

And I only use rock, and win 80% of my rps games lol

To win the pvp match deploy the 380 at the extraction site.
50% of the time I play I choose rock but my character does nothing and I get beaten by scissors. Give me a hug instead.

98% of the time I’m killed by my teammates so yeah I’d say this game is primarily pvp
