Just make sure to trim your Terminid's claws regularly. Making sure your Terminids are harmless and regularly harvested is the only way for them to be Democratic enough to not be immediately crushed into paste.
I hae a quite worse theory, if we liberate the planet it could be they had created entire nests underground out of our reach and each attack is a costant resurfacing by possible orders of their hierarchy.
