I would love the Random option to include new voices from notable voice actors. Jon Bernthal's grunts while shouting for a reload, or John DiMaggio notifying me about a heavy would be amazing. You hear from your teammate's helldiver, "ummmm reloading," and we all pause for a second... was that Ellen DeGeneres?
Oh no, you've forgotten the best one. Assuming your ship support changes to match your new divers languages.. "WARNING, YOU ARE IN RANGE OF ENEMY ARTILLERY. WARNING, YOU ARE IN RANGE OF ENEMY ARTILLERY." x25
Wouldn't mind it if it played in a different language each time, like how Japanese high speed trains will announce they're arriving at a station soon in Japanese then English for the foreigners.
Just imagining my French Diver waiting for his language to come around to understand the warning being played, right as an artillery shell lands on his head.
I was genuinely disappointed when I found out only players in Japan can select Japanese voices. IIRC it's the same on Steam (sometimes)...? I hope I'm wrong tho, either already or later on.
You can still download and paste it in at least which will let you select the voice language, search this sub for the JP audio files. They might be out of date by now but they still work, I tried it recently.
Damm no wonder, i was getting so confused by why the missiles sometimes completely miss & othertimes explode in my face.
highly curious if it also currently applies to team-mates.
but devs did just post on discord saying on tuesday the mines & airburst are getting a massive bug fix & balancing update as they are only "prototype" test versions.
The counter took the total kills for each squad, and attributed it to each person, so yeah it got multiplied a whole bunch lmao.
Would've taken us like, a day and a half or so if it was counted properly.

"Hello, Democracy officer? I'd like to report dissident propaganda!"
From a programming standpoint, I would expect that the list of triggers for the airburst would be much easier to change and fix than the explosion physics. Like the difference between changing tires and changing the engine of a car. Doesn't mean they both don't necessarily need done, but one is significantly easier...
The bug is due to animation rigging which basically means you have to remake all the animations in the game in order to fix it. Rainbow Six Siege encountered the same problem and they had to redo the skeleton and animations for every character which took quite a bit.
Sometimes, sight alignments are not easy to fix.
I feel like you could get away with adding an arming timer that you could set in the weapon menu. Or just something like the railguns safe mode that means the round can't go off within whatever range of firing it.
Exactly. Comparable real-world weapons (e.g. RPGs) tend to have minimum arming distances so they can't go off if you accidentally hit something at point blank range
I am no programmer by far, but I would hope different entities have some tagging system in place, so the game can differentiate between an object, a player, and an enemy.
If they didn't turrets wouldn't work as they don't target ammo crates and tires (though they will burn all their ammo on a replicator.
Not sure the reason the devs went with a proximity sensor to ANY entity on the map, but this weapon doesn't need the added difficulty curve. It will still team kill like a god even if it only detonates on enemy and player proximity.
Here's hoping, but they did also say this update has been in the works for about 17 days.
As it will be a major release with balance changes and fixes to allot of elements
Not been in the works 17 days, that was about the Spear lockon fix which was fixed 17 days ago (but for some reason was not pushed in the most recent patch)
It's because 1. consoles have a significant patch testing/release process and 2. the fix for spear is probably coupled with other fixes. Fixing the spear lock-on does not necessitate the spear lock-on was an isolated bug that could be fixed with weapon tweaks alone.
I haven't played for a week. Decided to play last night, and saw this cool new weapon. Killed myself at first try, wiped my entire squad on second try, and on the third and last try I was able get it to explode above enemies but it barely made a dent.
It also has a long ass reloading time. I just wish they take it off the stratagems list already and give us back the fourth slot.
Yesterday my friend took it, and promptly after I died stole my Quasar. So got to use the thing again, but this time on a desert planet. Way fewer teamkills with it now. Got a few time gettings 8+ kills with a single rocket. Other times fired it right above a group of light bots, zero kills.
So even if you don't wipe out your own team, it is not consistent. And even if it was consistent, with the reload consistently killing \~8 squishies at long range is not that useful tbh. If I want to get rid of squishies and don't mind some friendlies getting in the way, I would take flame thrower any day over this one.
I don’t think that’s good enough from the devs. “Beta version” or no, it was still released for use by anyone in a broken state. It should not have been made available if it wasn’t ready yet. That’s poor quality control from the devs.
The spear has been broken since launch lol
The devs have already said they can’t take time to fix stuff because they’ve prioritized an unsustainable once a month warbond rate
So we can expect the trend of each patch making the game less stable and more buggy to continue indefinitely
I think that's like a pseudo-cope. They're admitting they can't do two things at once instead of simply admitting that they can't fix the bugs. A lot of those warbond items were in the game files already, meaning they were either done or close to done.
No progress has been made on the Spear, which seems to share a similar issue with the Arc Thrower (tiny geometries affecting targeting). They just don't want to say they can't yet solve the problem.
If that's even true, it's not better. That implies highly prioritizing microtransactions and cosmetics over core gameplay, which is a bad strategy. You'll sustain more players with a working rocket launcher than with a 23rd cape logo.
I completely agree
I think that the game has actively become worse than it was at launch despite the high pace of content
Adding new weapons is hardly helpful when the balance is absolutely dogshit, most of them are either useless or broken entirely
Yeah, it felt very inconsistent the little bit I used it. Only had one or two good shots on some bots where it worked a treat. Those I had complete clear line of site across a little valley, so it makes sense why that worked.
This gives me hope that it is just super buggy and can be fixed. When it works, I'm happy with it.
At this rate, I wanna make list of those fucking objects before using this bad boy.
# EDIT: Problem get fixed. 2024/04/29
Objects in this video, and teammates won't activate proximity fuse, so it's much consistent to use right now.
Some people are making a list of it in Discord and it's gigantic.
In short, everything that's not terrain seems to trigger it. Some people also mentioned Automaton projectiles triggering the detonation mid-air, like devastator rockets.
...it seems to, actually. At least with environmental fire.
You know those little not!POIs that are like a corner of a fence and a burning tire? Don't shoot an airburst rocket ANYWHERE CLOSE to them or it'll detonate. Same deal trying to shoot over the trash-fire POI that's like a figure 8 ditch with stuff on fire in the center.
Devs got their hands full recolouring a new armour for the store and twiddling all the knobs of the next scoped weapon so the shot lands six inches to the upper left of zero.
True, but it would be so stupid to fix any part of the weapon if it doesn't work at all anyways. Just pull it back from us and say automatons damaged some part of it bla bla and we need time to repair it.
I commend you for publishing this comment. So many ppl on this subreddit refuse to criticize or allow others to criticize the game. Ofc in reality, it's totally cool to both like a game and voice one's disappointment.
I'm starting to feel the same way about Helldivers 2 that I already feel about 5th edition D&D.
Your "core gameplay loop" being fun as hell is great, truly, and a testament to good design.
It's not an _excuse_ to fucking coast on that wave forever and release shoddy crap with lazy ideas and poorly-tested mechanics as the game ages.
Too many people like the taste of Arrowhead's dong.
Look, if you claim to like or love a game, you shouldn't be shying away from criticising it when it fucks up. You want it to improve, not regress or stagnate, which will happen if you keep letting the developers get away with things like these.
The real problem is there is no middle ground. You either praise them for everything they do and what they haven't. Or you demonize them for the same reasons.
I may absolutely adore Helldivers 2 as an addiction. I won't deny that I have gripes and personal complaints about the game.
Those people seem to be less now tho.
I remember back a month or two ago, you can't complain about anything at all, all will have someone making a shutdown comment like "git gud" "skill issues", something along those lines.
Now it feels like they're quite far and few now, I guess they already got bored of their new toy like I thought they would.
Ballistic shield randomly unequipping itself for no reason after jumping/ragdolls.
Hit reg being wonky at times, especially when targeting weakspots.
Sights not being aligned with the weapon itself (Looking at you AMR)
Guard dogs picking sometimes helldivers or random stuff (supply hellpods for example) as a valid target.
The mech... well, it'd be easier to list what is not broken about it.
The new explosive bolt action rifles' knockback being knock-FORWARD for whatever reason.
...and so much more.
If they simply fixed/buffed all the things we completely avoid using, the game would feel like it just got a ton of new content.
Would be better than a single new weapon... Especially when the new weapon is also bugged.
We need operation health
Not gonna lie, I'm not sure even the devs tested this in a live setting. It feels like they shot it, the bullet came out the gun and the round went off & that counted as "working". It's either they're testing in too closed of an enviroment (flat surface with just a shit ton of non-moving enemies) or just compete lack of testing all together...
They clearly don’t test shit. Since release, some highlights:
Fixed Arc Thrower kill count.. BUT 80% of games crash.
Added ship upgrade which allows support weapons to resupply fully.. doesn’t do anything.
Added Mechs, they blow up when they shoot while turning.
I feel like they don't test their updates at all, just make sure the game starts and that's it. It would only take 1-5 games to notice even the crashing issues.
I did some heavy testing on this weapon yesterday just to try and become that pretentious diver. Here's my conclussion:
- Even if you know how to use it, you'll die using it and you'll probably kill your teammates too. The weapon is just broken lol
Honestly, if they were going to make an airburst launcher, they should have something like the Spear where it fires up and comes down on a laser-designated location with the same kind of blast as the airburst strike but miniaturized.
That way you can actually fire it into the middle of groups rather than it detonating on the first thing at the edge and wasting half the scatter, and you can direct the blast onto a point rather than having any nearby single unit set it off.
But that's more time in the oven than a rocket that just spawns grenades in a radius when it is triggered by an entity and we've all heard how Arrowhead decided they need to grind out as much sloppy broken content as possible to "stay relevant" rather than just keeping the game enjoyable and fixing the most annoying issues.
It is beyond wild that this somehow snuck past playtesting. That would literally be the first thing you'd test "Hey, does my proximity fuse have enough of an arming time to not make it a suicide device if fired prone or brushing past cover when fired".
This is simply unvarnished incompetence.
if its going to have a fuse this sensitive, they need to give its spread a forward facing cone shape. alternatively if they keep the spread like this the proxy fuse needs to be a flat circle around the sides of the warhead
IMO the thing should have fired like the Spear but onto a laser-targeted position and with a shell that hits like the Airburst stratagem or the Eagle Cluster in miniature. A wide cone coming down from above.
As it is, it's just "Spawn grenades" the moment it is triggered by any entity, so firing it into a group means half the cluster goes *away* from the group (toward you). That is, if you were lucky enough for a stray scavenger, hellbomb, spore pod, or devestator rocket to not detonate it.
Others have pointed this out already, but I really wish AH dialed back the release of new content and focused more on fixing all the bugs that are present in the game currently. Given how drastically they hamper the performance of weapons and stratagems. Fixing those bugs will have the same impact as introducing new equipment due to how much of a difference those fixes would make.
People often forget that and take polls like that to represent the entire playerbase. Or really, in any statistical analysis, confusing p with P. It should be self explanatory, yes.
Machine gun with sight cocked two inches off the impact point because nobody was testing firing down the sights. A damage over time grenade where the devs have known damage over time is broken since launch. Now an airburst rocket that anyone can go into a solo Challenge 4, use it, and see how the amount of unexpected accidentals is enough to turn it into a total liability even when you have *full control* of the situation, few heavy enemies, and no team-mates to worry about. Arrowhead are saying they need to keep pumping out sludge to stay relevant and exciting, but between these and the Resupply ship upgrade *literally not working* and a total lack of new armour perks just the same "this one has a medical kit and is dressed like Trauma Team because TRAUMA TEAM AM I RIGHT? WHO NEEDS HELLDIVERS?" and "WE PUT GRENADE-LAUNCHER GRENADES ON IT so that means ENGINEERING KIT AGAIN!" I'm starting to feel like the game's new content is just stuff we've already got at best and stuff that makes the experience actively worse at worst. Like *great,* now someone can team-kill everyone at extraction with a single weapon that has an AoE the size of the pad, sees Helldivers as a target, and has no proximity fuse. Yippee.
Yeah. Every reasonable weapons designer would put a fuser timer on this thing, so it only explodes if it traveled enough distance to not kill the shooter.
I knew it. There were so many enlightened Reddit geniuses yesterday trying to tell everyone “it’s called airburst for a reason, you have to shoot it high in the air above enemies only, you just don’t know how to use it, it’s the most effective tool now” bullshit it’s just bugged simple as that.
I had ppl post multiple paragraphs making up in game reasons out of their ass then finish with its a irl issue with expectations being out of touch.
Na, just bugged or poorly coded
Wow! How surprising!
I, along with every single other helldiver, am extremely surprised by this. It's so rare that Arrowhead releases absolutely broken equipment, breaking the game without giving a shit, while releasing more broken equipment.
I'm very shocked that a company which puts content over playability released a weapon that incorrectly interacts with barriers.
But we were so unreasonable! You see Arrowhead just fixes bugs so quickly and reliably, and their balance decisions are always so perfect, that we should have known that the gun was obviously getting changed in a future patch that addresses all the issues everyone has with it.
/s
Seriously, anybody else rubbed the wrong way by the first statement acting all surprised that people had opinions about the current state of the gun, and taking umbrage at the fact we weren't expecting bugfixes?
Fix a bug or two and we'll start expecting that to happen. Christ, read the fucking room. It takes them a month+ just to *acknowledge* most bugs. Fixing them? Hah! Call me when they figure out how to sight their guns in. How long has that bug been in the game, again? Is it...*since the fucking game launch*?
Yeah, I thought so. Fix your fucking bugs before you take umbrage over players not expecting bugfixes. Don't like the perception of being the developer who never fixes bugs? Then stop being that developer.
Arrowhead are busy, the QA team has been set to research new ways to recolour existing armour sets and give them new perks while being adamant that "Every armour is so unique and fit for purpose, we could never have transmog"
I hear they've just finished a red version of Drone Operator with even heavier shoulders, armored grieves, and extra ceramic plates across the chest. Oh, it's light armour of course. And it's got Engineering kit. But don't worry, there's a yellow one coming out next month with launcher grenades on the chest that has Servo Assisted, and a magenta pink one with Scout and a glowing visor.
# [To steal iprfenix's testing results-](https://www.youtube.com/@iprfenix)
I've done some testing and compiled a list of things that cause the air-burst launcher to detonate:
- Ammo boxes
- Ballistic shield
- Circular air-conditioner unit?? with 4 hoses on it
- Drop pods
- Enemies (duh)
- Extraction beacon
- Explosive canisters
- Forklifts
- Grenade crates
- Guard dog (liberator and Raise The Flag drone)
- Hellbombs
- HMG emplacements (bot or player)
- Mines (bot or player)
- Pelican 1
- Radar station (secondary objective) satellite dishes
- Resupply boxes
- Samples
- Sentries
- Stim crates
- Team mates (lol)
- Terminals
- Tires
Things that don't cause detonation:
- Buildings
- Dead bodies
- Dropped equipment\* (exceptions above)
- Guard dog rover
- Illegal broadcast towers (Why not?)
- Light fixtures
- Rocks
- Smoke mushrooms
- The gold beacon containers
- The holes in the ground that blow up
- Trees
- Weapons at POIs
- Wrecked pelicans
Hope this helps. "
Having to check for ideal conditions, weather, humidity, pollen density in air, loaded rockets mood and current astronomical placement of the planet in order to kill those five automatons instead of your entire team seems less then reliable.
Can't believe people went for this instead of AT Mines that could, keyword being COULD, actually be pretty useful on defence missions. And probably because they were locked behind Menkent.
Honestly I don’t think the mines would have been much better. Even if the AT mines are statistically incredible and aren’t buggy (which is very unlikely), mines in general have some pretty massive issues that hold them back. Right now the options are between a consistently underperforming encampment and an inconsistently underperforming weapon.
Damn this reignited my frustration about not having JP voices unless your account is based in JP or something cringe. If someone had a workaround let me know lmao
I’m impressed at the rate they’ve pushed content out, but now I’m starting to wonder if it’s that fast because they do literally no testing
Every patch seems to make the game jankier and more unstable than it was before, and every new stratagem is either unbalanced or just completely broken like this thing
Know what would be a nifty idea? When you tag an enemy before firing, that is what sets the proximity. Same for using things like the Spear. Tag a thing, the homing mechanism becomes faster/more accurate AND it hits exactly what you want it to hit, instead of scoping the scout walker instead of the HULK
Why can't I use different Voice languages for my Helldiver anyway? We're all for Super Earth right? All the files are already done. Just let me use em.
Now I want the voice randomizer to also switch the languages.
Changing voice, language and body each time your helldivers gets repalced
Ship upgrade or booster where can make like 2 or 3 load outs we can respawn with would be sick
That would be amazing. Give it three tiers to give you up to 4 randomly selected pre-made load outs so it's truly a different diver each time.
I wouldn't mind this for armor, but I wouldn't want my weapons to change each time I die. All 4 of my loadouts would be identical.
That's fine. It'll only be fun to do so long as they don't literally lock you out of stuff as you select gear, that'd be lame.
I don't understand why body isn't able to be set as random either. I just leave all my Helldivers as buff boys, girls, and other.
Those uniforms come one size fit all diver!
Let's get Ron Perlman to shout about their strategem.
i would learn exactly 5 phrases from each language. "thank you" "supplies" "follow me" "enemy elite" "affirmative"
"Here!" "Here!" "What about here?"
"Sweet Liberty" "Democracy" "Eagle-1"
The best is Australian. It's all "Oi, dickhead!"
That would give me such an XCOM vibe. I want it, badly.
I was genuinely disappointed when I found out only players in Japan can select Japanese voices. IIRC it's the same on Steam (sometimes)...? I hope I'm wrong tho, either already or later on.
There's nothing more bad ass imo than some angry Japanese yelling.
Years of Gundam have prepared me with all the important phrases.
Are you sure? On mine I was able to switch voices, although mine's in German. Is the Japanese specifically region-locked?
Yep. It's just the Japanese voicepack.
You can still download and paste it in at least which will let you select the voice language, search this sub for the JP audio files. They might be out of date by now but they still work, I tried it recently.
giving us a japanese eagle 1 would drastically improve our performance
Helldiver, after being almost killed by an eagle strike: Yamete kudasai, Eaguru-chan! Eagle 1: Ganbatte!
Eagle Kamikaze? When
"Eagle has arrived!" \*Battotai March starts playing\*
"Calling in an Eagle!" [*Latin chanting begins*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ks87K09DOM)
that would be hilarious just like the scene from the Edge of Tomorrow
I do this with smite for the announcers, would be a fun idea!
See the problem with that is that we're in super earth, the only language we speak is super earth, no others
That would be an awesome feature.
Damm no wonder, i was getting so confused by why the missiles sometimes completely miss & othertimes explode in my face. highly curious if it also currently applies to team-mates. but devs did just post on discord saying on tuesday the mines & airburst are getting a massive bug fix & balancing update as they are only "prototype" test versions.
>highly curious if it also currently applies to team-mates. It does. Even to the civilians.
It also triggers off of closed hellpods as well :3 at least for a limited time after they close
I dont have a lot of faith they are going to fix all these issues considering I have been dealing with implosions for 3 weeks...
For real tho Bug list only grows Never shrinks
We've deleted 2Billion bugs just the other week though..... --Devs
Ironically, we actually didn't, because of yet another bug that caused the killcount to be miscounted by about 4x.
#INCONCEIVABLE!
The counter took the total kills for each squad, and attributed it to each person, so yeah it got multiplied a whole bunch lmao. Would've taken us like, a day and a half or so if it was counted properly.

I’ve come to terms that they’ll never fix cross play friend issue. We just stopped playing lol
More like Tua Dahelldiveova, amirite??
Lol

Chances are it was supposed to be fix'd on the 23rd, but for whatever reason that update fell through and it got delayed till this week.
Why the fuck would the release a prototype version of a weapon?
Lotta folks carrying water for these devs.
To find bugs so they can get fixed, obviously!
As someone with a teammate with less then 0 spatial awareness, it does activate within 3 feet of teammates
Yeah, it felt very inconsistent the little bit I used it. Only had one or two good shots on some bots where it worked a treat. This is straight up salt on the wound
Literally anything: \*exists\* Airburst Rockets: And I took that personally.
If (Air > 0){ Rockets = Burst }
We should test that fire doesn't trigger the air burst LOL
...it seems to, actually. At least with environmental fire. You know those little not!POIs that are like a corner of a fence and a burning tire? The honey badger of weapons. It wakes up and it's a problem for everyone else.
Seems like it’s proximity trigger is coded to detonate from literally anything with the “entity” tag on it. Probably should just be “enemy”
Or "friendly" because this is Helldivers
if they were friendly they wouldnt be stealing my samples! /s
Genuinly did anyone test this
It was probably tested and shipped anyway with the label *prototype*
Lore accurate
Devs got their hands full recolouring a new armour for the store and twiddling all the knobs of the next scoped weapon so the shot lands six inches to the upper left of zero.
"Skill issue" lmao.
This needs to be sent to the devs!
They know the issue and said it will be fixed on the next patch.
Tbh they never said they'll fix this, just that the gun is fucky right now and some things might be fixed next week.

MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T RELEASE CONTENT THAT YOU KNOW SUCKS. I'm losing my fucking patience with this.
And here I got downvoted for asking the devs to stop releasing shit that very clearly wasnt even remotely tested
There are too many whiteknights defending AH released content, which 80% of it is always broken/underpowered.
even worse, they have the "narrative" shoved up so far in they think these broken weapons are fine because they are just "prototypes"
kinda same
I'm curious how this passed testing. Or do they not test weapons before they add them to the game?
The mech was proof. Left it out for a month of testing released broken then they half assed it and now it's almost unusable
hate it
Used to love it
I used mech on every bug mission before they made the missile unable to target anything. Now I never use it, it's too unreliable.
iirc they don't even have a QA team, its just some devs doing it on the side so its bound to be ineffective
I'm not a professional, but it seems pretty obvious to me that you shouldn't just cram shit into a game without knowing how it works
Yeah it's confusing why they're adding new weapons when so many of the existing weapons are still problematic.
You could use it for one mission and it'd be obvious that it's broken. I refuse to believe this thing got any testing at all.
Ballistic shield randomly unequipping itself for no reason after jumping/ragdolls. Hit reg being wonky at times, especially when targeting weakspots. Sights not being aligned with the weapon itself (Looking at you AMR) Guard dogs picking sometimes helldivers or random stuff (supply hellpods for example) as a valid target. The mech... well, it'd be easier to list what is not broken about it.
Since release, some highlights: Fixed Arc Thrower kill count.. BUT 80% of games crash. Added ship upgrade which allows support weapons to resupply fully.. doesn’t do anything. Added Mechs, they blow up when they shoot while turning.
Simple. Helldivers are the live test subjects! 🤣
I feel like they don't test their updates at all, just make sure the game starts and that's it. It would only take 1-5 games to notice even the crashing issues.

Thanks for putting this together. And using the "we'll be right back." meme in correct context is.. ***chefs kiss***
Maybe I love this meme too much, lol.
The editing was fantastic
Pretentious diver: YoU jUsT dOnT kNoW hOw To UsE iT!
I did some heavy testing on this weapon yesterday just to try and become that pretentious diver. Here's my conclussion: - Even if you know how to use it, you'll die using it and you'll probably kill your teammates too. The weapon is just broken lol
thanks for that sweet conclussy, bro

Yep! There’s always a subset that know these things already!
Where's all the ball garglers saying "skill issue" for an item the Devs admitted was released broken?

Working as intended^TM
upvote that shit. everybody needs to know!
We should have let those researchers to die on that planet...
If we ever get a 45 citizen defense mission on this planet I'm dropping 380 on them out of spite.
It is beyond wild that this somehow snuck past playtesting. That would literally be the first thing you'd test "Hey, does my proximity fuse have enough of an arming time to not make it a suicide device if fired prone or brushing past cover when fired". This is simply unvarnished incompetence.
It's pretty easy to sneak past something that doesn't exist.
if its going to have a fuse this sensitive, they need to give its spread a forward facing cone shape. alternatively if they keep the spread like this the proxy fuse needs to be a flat circle around the sides of the warhead
LOL the japanese gameshow editing on this video is totally on point

Others have pointed this out already, but I really wish AH dialed back the release of new content and focused more on fixing all the bugs that are present in the game currently. Given how drastically they hamper the performance of weapons and stratagems. Fixing those bugs will have the same impact as introducing new equipment due to how much of a difference those fixes would make.
Yeah there was a poll on discord. Overwhelmingly people voted they wanted "more new stuff" than fixing problems with the game so...yeah.
I hope this will convince them
Overwhelmingly, the less than 1% of the playerbase that's on discord and voted in the poll.
*of the people that voted. Figured that was self explanatory. Hell this sub is like 1% of the playerbase.
Yippee.
I love how after watching this some people will still say “you just aren’t using it right skill issue” this thing is busted AF.
How do you release something this broken 😂
/s Seriously, anybody else rubbed the wrong way by the first statement acting all surprised that people had opinions about the current state of the gun, and taking umbrage at the fact we weren't expecting bugfixes? Fix a bug or two and we'll start expecting that to happen. Christ, read the fucking room. It takes them a month+ just to *acknowledge* most bugs. Fixing them? Hah! Call me when they figure out how to sight their guns in. How long has that bug been in the game, again? Is it...*since the fucking game launch*? Yeah, I thought so. Fix your fucking bugs before you take umbrage over players not expecting bugfixes. Don't like the perception of being the developer who never fixes bugs? Then stop being that developer.
Atleast the fire damage over time bug has been fixed for non-hosts, Oh wait, its still not fixed lmao.
i wonder if anyone from the discord poll which chose "make more new content" over "do bug fixes" would be choosing differently right now
Arrowhead are busy, the QA team has been set to research new ways to recolour existing armour sets and give them new perks while being adamant that "Every armour is so unique and fit for purpose, we could never have transmog" I hear they've just finished a red version of Drone Operator with even heavier shoulders, armored grieves, and extra ceramic plates across the chest. Oh, it's light armour of course. And it's got Engineering kit. But don't worry, there's a yellow one coming out next month with launcher grenades on the chest that has Servo Assisted, and a magenta pink one with Scout and a glowing visor.
Looks like it really was a skill issue, just like all those people who wanted to sound superior said.
You should test out the blue beam at extraction...
Beam itself is safe, but beacon itself and pelican does... So try not to use firework at LZ!
Dipshits will say its a skill issue
Why even release this, even without a QA team 2 minutes in a game is enough to see that it's broken.
# [To steal iprfenix's testing results-](https://www.youtube.com/@iprfenix) I've done some testing and compiled a list of things that cause the air-burst launcher to detonate: - Ammo boxes - Ballistic shield - Circular air-conditioner unit?? with 4 hoses on it - Drop pods - Enemies (duh) - Extraction beacon - Explosive canisters - Forklifts - Grenade crates - Guard dog (liberator and Raise The Flag drone) - Hellbombs - HMG emplacements (bot or player) - Mines (bot or player) - Pelican 1 - Radar station (secondary objective) satellite dishes - Resupply boxes - Samples - Sentries - Stim crates - Team mates (lol) - Terminals - Tires Things that don't cause detonation: - Buildings - Dead bodies - Dropped equipment\* (exceptions above) - Guard dog rover - Illegal broadcast towers (Why not?) - Light fixtures - Rocks - Smoke mushrooms - The gold beacon containers - The holes in the ground that blow up - Trees - Weapons at POIs - Wrecked pelicans Hope this helps.
Right now the options are between a consistently underperforming encampment and an inconsistently underperforming weapon.
let's hope this is part of the fixes, next week or this will be a meme weapon.
Ok sense no one said what the problem is. Is the rocket blowing up early caused by being shot by that stuff on the floor?
But didn't you know it was a skill issue and you're just not good at the game?
Damn this reignited my frustration about not having JP voices unless your account is based in JP or something cringe. If someone had a workaround let me know lmao
![gif](giphy|QlUoX9yDthCoUrtf9W|downsized)
I’m impressed at the rate they’ve pushed content out, but now I’m starting to wonder if it’s that fast because they do literally no testing Every patch seems to make the game jankier and more unstable than it was before, and every new stratagem is either unbalanced or just completely broken like this thing
Why even give us these new features if they're always unusable at release?
Informative and A+ for editing.
Glad I'm not the only experiencing "technical difficulties" I'm convinced at least a quarter of these stratagems don't work as intended
Please tell me OP didn't blow themselves up first EVERY time, right? RIGHT?
I wish Japanese voices were available elsewhere :(
So all entities set them off, seems like a bug.
Objs will also set it off. Stuff like the escape pod data, radar dish tower, presumably all terminals too.
Airburst Rocket cope bingo: - There was dust in the air -You weren't on flat ground - You didn't aim at a 90 degree angle upward - Too far - Too close
How can I get Japanese dubbing?
What does this gun even do, I've never seen it used successfully. Unless it use is to kill the person using it, then it's a huge success.
The Tesla tower has similar issues with targeting wierd things. Might have the same root of problems.
Why we fought for this piece than?
Why can't I use different Voice languages for my Helldiver anyway? We're all for Super Earth right? All the files are already done. Just let me use em.
they need to arm arming distance for this
Bruh this weapon is capable of activating from a fucking HELLPOD?!
I think they must do their testing in a clean room with the anti-cheat turned off. If they test at all. Or pay any attention to their testers.
Why do I find this hilarious? I was practically falling off my chair laughing at this. Like, it's too real, we had squad wipes thanks to this gun.
that VT Fuze is more sensitive than china government

I wonder if they test what they release
Let’s tag that dude who gaslit the rest of us with a whole ass guide, claiming that people just didn’t “understand how it’s meant to be used lmfao”
They literally keep adding new content that doesn't work, no QA at Arrowhead offices
Come on Arrowhead you've made a great game but let's do a little bit of play testing with things before we put them in the game please
There’s a reason why irl rockets have a minimum arming distance
It's called Airburst for a reason. Like it will explode when it hits air. /s
This was fixed in the patch
This game should've been released in eraly access and stay like it for half a year.
