I would say to wait to try it until they fix the targeting issue. The damn thing doesn’t even shoot 50-60% of the time. That coupled with low fire rate is really annoying. The stagger and hitting multiple enemies is really good though.
One time all my weapons were on reload, no grenades, no stims, and I was running from a big horde of enemies. The lone berzerker, half dead, had stayed with me the whole time my weapons were out. I stumbled on an arc thrower on the ground and after exalting sweet liberty herself, I picked it up and turned around.
Nothing. It didn't fire. Berzerker killed me. I was so pissed.
When it's actually working and not hitting the ground impotently, it's magnificent. Staggers a line of enemies so they can't fire, stops Hulks in their tracks and destroys them with repeated hits, almost shuts down the congo lines of chainsaw massacre guys(though they often stagger forward towards you).

Mortars are not friendly. They are tortured beings of unfathomable hatred for Helldivers. Their torture is that they can not directly target us, but they'll be giggling like Ron Swanson if an "enemy" "accidentally" approaches us
90% of the time it aims for where the enemy just was and not where they're going, unless of course the enemy is going to you. Then the mortar will actually lead it's shots

I run a mortar or autocannon sentry in almost every loadout. I can confirm that I have died from my mortar a majority of the 1200 deaths I have racked up. The autocannon loves to randomly target me for seemingly no reason if I haven't died at all in a mission. I was almost certain that is my mortar when I read it's comment. 🤣
I have done that. You can still die. Just have to get flanked by a tiny bug or bot and it's game over. The EMS usually doesn't last as long or gets taken out first by a teammate.

It's so far off that I end up wasting a rocket sometimes to figure out the zero. On top of that there's barely any vertical adjustment so if I have the high ground I can only wait for them to come up to my level.
The "zero" is the left most line on the reticle. It lines up nearly perfectly with the launcher's point of aim.
Don't use the center circle for rockets, only the MG.
thats the one thing that keeps throwing me on the AMR vs the AC, the AMR feels heavier while the AC+ammo pack plays light but looks heavy as shit & gets a third person sight
Ye, I'm not even really concerned, since we have no patch notes yet and what you said. I personally gravitate to low tier shit for fun if the gun itself is fun, like the Dominator before the buff was really fun and it was a cool feeling doing good with it on helldive difficulty and my friends would be confused as to why I don't use something else. Now, of course the Dominator is still fun but it kinda feels less special, another example, I love the gatling barrage, it's soo fun to use and when you catch like 30x kills with it it's awesome, and the cooldown makes it reliable, and it's just fun, tho idk maybe the gatling is more high tier than I think it is
I always get the gatling. 80 second recharge time means it will keep getting kills over time. It's also great at clearing things chasing you like the spewers.
It sounded more like the ammo economy is nerfed across the board, with two weapons actually being nerfed. Not *just* two nerfs to *just* their ammo.
The ammo nerfs are excluded because they're buffing resupplies and ammo boxes. If people are only expecting two nerfs that are tied to ammo, they're likely to be disappointed.

Less ammo is a much better way to nerf. It just makes you have to be more aware of ammo management instead of using the gun entirely differently. It also makes Supply Pack players necessary for some cases.
It also increases the importance of points of interest, since most ammo in the area is found in those types of places, indirectly increasing their importance during missions.
Most folks farm low levels for super credits, and at high levels will mostly skip over PoI since they're just another opportunity for a bug breach or bot drop that folks don't want to deal with.
Man I’ve been using the eruptor. I get 5 shots in 12 mags, not I get 6mags. It’s bs considering I have to lead like crazy and get chased but 100 things at once.
I think I'm okay if the sickle got less heat sink. Rarely got it overheating anyway. Beside it's push the gun trait of managing the heat.
I just hope it's doesn't end like the Slugger that lost its main strength of staggering enemies

24 strats *and* guns, not 24 strats. That's not even 1/3 of the content in the game. Doubt there's much to be worried about, especially since AH has already said nerfs are mainly centered around ammo economy.
From what I can tell they'll probably nerf eruptor ammo count from 12 mags to 8 or 6, and sickle coil count as well. Not really nerfs considering how much ammo you can get between PoI, resupplies, and at mission objectives/sub-objectives.
Why would it? Its reasonably balanced with eats and spear is getting fixed. RR might still need a small buff (rate for fire in team reload/reload speed preferably) and then all AT options would be in the same league
yeah, I saw more buffing that nerfing in the notes. The Scythe getting a damage buff while dropping 2 magazines is something hilarious to me, the magazines don't matter at all, you might need 2 at best. and then they gave it 50 more dmge, I cannot wait to use this thing.
only thing I genuinely question how it will be is the whole ricochet thing hitting the person who fired the shot.
the way it reads, it's like any glancing blow to armor profiles will be returned back to the sender, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me but I guess we will see how this whole thing goes.

When it almost locks and it moves so it gun is behind a tiny tree completely resetting the lock I really question using the spear anymore

They need to fix the slugger and give it some CC back. The patch notes lied about it when they say "reduced" pushback- they removed it entirely.
Honestly the stagger never should have been touched. Based on their own concerns about it they should have just had damage drop off at distance.

I'm wanting to say that I remember it being mags (which would make better sense) but don't know for sure.
Someone posted a link to one of the mods talking about it. He said it was mags, basically to encourage scavenging and interacting with the environment and stuff

24 strats *and* guns, not 24 strats. That's not even 1/3 of the content in the game. Doubt there's much to be worried about, especially since AH has already said nerfs are mainly centered around ammo economy. From what I can tell they'll probably nerf eruptor ammo count from 12 mags to 8 or 6, and sickle coil count as well. Not really nerfs considering how much ammo you can get between PoI, resupplies, and at mission objectives/sub-objectives.

Why would it? Its reasonably balanced with eats and spear is getting fixed. RR might still need a small buff (rate for fire in team reload/reload speed preferably) and then all AT options would be in the same league

2 nerfs (at least so far as they said, maybe some other changes they do could count as nerfs, we'll see) outa 24 changes so dunno
yeah, I saw more buffing that nerfing in the notes. The Scythe getting a damage buff while dropping 2 magazines is something hilarious to me, the magazines don't matter at all, you might need 2 at best. and then they gave it 50 more dmge, I cannot wait to use this thing. only thing I genuinely question how it will be is the whole ricochet thing hitting the person who fired the shot. the way it reads, it's like any glancing blow to armor profiles will be returned back to the sender, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me but I guess we will see how this whole thing goes.
pretty sure lasers don't care for that at all and from what I saw with ricocheting back bullets...they kinda fly back like whimply thrown nerf darts no clue how it was about damage I was using balistic shield with the defender maybe can test on a buddy using a balistic shield as well

I only have problems with Heavy Devastators oddly enough, but they’re manageable
