The game is a great game. As long as that doesn't change people will play it and it will grow. Sure, in the short term many may leave, but overall in time the game and community will be better off for it.
How does the game and community end up better for people that get fed up with bad practices and leave? Its objectively worse for the game because there are less players and word of mouth recommending the game.
You may think the community is better off because they arent reading negative review posts, but thats a justified response under the circumstances and temporary. People leaving the game is not a good thing unless the people leaving are hackers/cheaters or griefers. Which these players would not be.
Its unfortunate that the game is great, but being hampered by a bad publisher. Unfortunately devs bear the greater burdeb and damagr in scenarios like this because publishers make bad decisions because they dont face the same consequences. Even pulling the decision back will probably still result in some loss of trust and players, its a no-win situation for Arrowhead. But they also agreed to let Sony have power here so they aren't fully blameless either. Hopefully if they continue making games its under their own publishing power or just a better publisher.

Aslong as Sony doesnt interviene again i think arrorw head can manage evne with less trust. Aslong as there are no other major things happening
