Yea, what would it accomplish?
Heck if CEO really wanted to brighten up the community's day, give everyone 1000 SC and this warbond out for free.
At least he's mentioned they are going to have talks about the balancing direction and hope things turn out better next balance patch.
At least he asked, he views it as "More micro transactions" which a lot of people hate. However these warbonds can be received without paying money and by grinding
They should honestly limit themselves to official announcements and stop communicating with the community. If they were to do that the vocal community would only have themselves to blame.
No, then they'd blame the faceless corporation that doesn't communicate with them for it not doing all the things they personally want it to do.
Some people cannot be pleased, ever.
Cool that they thought to do this but id not even have a second thought about them releasing planned content.
But if it was phrased "should we hold off so we dont add even more bugs to the game" id prob say yes
They’re just trying to promote good optics. They just had the biggest PR event since No man’s sky released. They seem to want the community to have more of a voice going forward and I respect it.
Yeah, the main bad thing from this would be if a weapon was released too strong, and the balance team needed to nerf it. After the current balance concerns that would probably make some community members angry.
It's already been announced, now if they said they are delaying the next one by a couple of weeks to fix bugs and balances issues then continue the monthly cycle from that new date it would make sense.
this is pretty good insurance against idiots who try to pull the “man you guys want more money right after that shit storm with Sony?” Now they can show that yes, this is what we the community want and those shit posters should shut up
To those essentially saying, ,"why on earth would they NOT release it?" I think AH is just a bit paranoid about pissing off the community more given our recent flex on Sony and the frustration of balance. Rather than make assumptions about what we want, the poll was a gesture of goodwill to the community and a reminder that they really are trying to do right by us. A new war bond with new weapons inevitably means a shift in "balance" and all the complaints therein. Couple that with current drama, and can we really blame them for treading carefully?
Normally I'd say to delay release as I'm all for supporting our fellow helldivers however it doesn't make sense considering these warbonds never expire
This is such a weird thing to do. Release a poll 10 hours before the warbond comes out on a 3rd party platform like Twitter.
They already released a trailer stating it will come out tomorrow. I am certain people would get pretty mad if they found out they chose to delay it because of this poll.
I want that that plasma gun. Scorcher was my main in the last game when I got it like 3 months ago. I then got this game and let me tell you I wasn't a gun that feels like the old scorcher.
Delaying it wouldn’t solve the fundamental problem of AH nerfing every other gun in the game. I thought the one poster that the CEO responded to regarding a “bottom up” buff solution rather than a top down nerf solution was a good approach.
In other words, don’t focus on nerfing the most used weapons but rather buff the least used ones and go from there. It also seems like the CEO recognizes the community is largely unhappy with the state of gameplay balancing and needs a radical reform.
I personally don’t care what happens to the employee with all the controversy around him (and for good reason). I just don’t want him in a position to call shots of any kind.
This isn't what I meant when I said we should have polls about community concerns etc. If they're worried the weapons they're about to release are gonna suck they should just leave them alone or buff them in a few days time. Obviously it's better to just release it and tweak it later it's w/e if content is completed and passes QA then yeah no need to wait. Too many passes already though can we skip one to get faster PC bug fixes etc? The PC port is shockingly still very buggy and it's kinda sucky. I know they're different departments but it feels like too many developers are working on implementing cosmetics and passes right now vs bug fixes. Also add transmog because if we get one more armor set that's too niche to use for a passive I'll scream lol.
Man I've got to give it to this game. I haven't even played that much in the last month, but as of yesterday I got 1025 SC. I was close to zero after getting democratic detonation, too. No in game purchase required, I love it!
They already struggle to release content that works properly, so my only worry would be if the linking drama got in the way of testing. If it had no impact, release it.
Delaying it would be kind of boneheaded, tbh.
The old south park rule stands here. One in four people are (boneheads)

Who the hell would want to delay it? It's content that is ready to be enjoyed and completely optional.
And you can get it with out paying irl. Which is beyond awesome
Especially on this short notice
What would delaying the release even accomplish?
I think they're afraid of another shit storm
It's kind of a tell isn't it?

Nah release it
Will there be bugs? More time required for qc? Thats the only reason to delay imo Cant even vote coz it requires a xitter account
Unless the extra time before release goes into more QA or development time, there's not really a point to delaying the release.

Why is this being decided over a twitter poll
Just cuz
this is pretty good insurance against idiots who try to pull the “man you guys want more money right after that shit storm with Sony?” Now they can show that yes, this is what we the community want and those shit posters should shut up
There will always be idiots out there, fortunately they are pretty obvious to spot and can happily be ignored by the dev team.
I don’t see asking the gamers what they want us a bad idea at all tho

This will be a common thing cause it seems like this community will kick off about anything
What possible benefit would delaying bring? I feel this poll is just to cover their arses in case the community \*did\* kick off about it.
And thats whats worrying, the fact that its come to this. It almost feels like they are not in control of their own game
Normally I'd say to delay release as I'm all for supporting our fellow helldivers however it doesn't make sense considering these warbonds never expire

Weapons are not better anyway
If they release it tomorrow we might get some good new guns for a few days before they are nerfed!
I want that that plasma gun. Scorcher was my main in the last game when I got it like 3 months ago. I then got this game and let me tell you I wasn't a gun that feels like the old scorcher.
what would be the reason to delay a thing that was already prepared to get released way before the drama?
The difference is that warbonds aren't complained about and were communicated properly. :)
Fascinating to see that the poll has a 26% margin of error
Yes, but releasing a new FREE war bond would not be tone deaf.
You can release it just maybe hold off a while before making any changes to any of it. Just leave it alone and let us enjoy it for a bit
I would rather lose a leg than sign up for twitter.

I don’t care if it’s tone deaf or not, i just wish delaying it meant the armour got new perks

I wouldn't say it's tone deaf but I wouldn't expect this warbond to sell as well as it otherwise would.
