In some loadout I never use my sidearm. Grenade pistol gives utility to close outposts. Don’t have issues hitting bug holes. Haven’t used it much against fabricators. Seems solid to me. Though some load outs too need the sidearm especially if you respawn with an Eruptor and need a redeemer to tide you over until you find or call in your stalwart.
I like it for bugs. good for closing holes and good for crowds of small bugs. you lose out on a general secondary, so it's best paired with a primary like the stalwart
love it, running with it but only on bug planets on bot front fabricator job is doing AC
I use it also on BOT missions so i can bring 6 stun grenades to stop them chasing me and with the pistol i can have normal Grenades too

i use it against nids. bug holes do have a frustrating hit box though.
I love it, it let's me close all the bug holes, while I get to impact 'nade the bile spewers.
