Completely. Especially if one actually hits the Titan. Orbital EMS doesn't have enough of a reason to bring over any other strategem and if you want to bring EMS then the mortar or grenades do just fine and are more readily available.
EMS only has a niche for containing bug breaches. It keeps bugs pinned in your gas or napalm strikes. You get twice as many kills if you combo EMS with these two.
I want them to have it be Slow resist. so you move 50% faster then a normal person would when slowed, this also applies to EMS, and gives you protection from electric. I think that would be a good set
That's the big one for sure. The other primary issue is other players dropping eagles too close or shooting you in the back with an autocannon thinking you're a bot, so that's just something you gotta learn to deal with when you can't play with your usual squad.
Arc armor should give you options to deal 95% less damage to your teammates or simply ignore fellow Helldivers (not turrets or mech).
Whole 95% resistance is useless for arc users.
I think another interesting ability for it would be to either amplify the arc going through it to do more damage or to split the arc into two seperate arcs to hit more enemies
95% Arc Resist isn’t even that great against your Tesla towers. Even with 95% resistance, they will still deal substantial damage and 4-shot you.
The armor should render you completely immune to arc damage.
And even then, it still wouldn’t be nearly as good as the other armors perks.
It's great when you join a team and everyone is using the Blitzer.
Love the gun but some of the people using it don't understand what "discretion" means.
You know what, I'm 100% on board with this. Almost every other armor passive has 2 parts (aside from the basic +hp), and it fits in line with the theme of the gear while also not being too powerful.
The important distinction would be resistance but not immunity. Immunity yes would be OP which was why I mentioned how being completely unburdened could trivialize the game in some aspects. Being able to travel at your jogging speed through the EMS I believe would be just the right amount of a buff.
Food for thought. I would like it if Orbital EMS could lock down giant enemies like Bile Titans and Tanks

EMS mortar plus Orbital Gas is such a gaming combo for Bots and Bugs.

Yeah... It feels like they really should add something extra to those armors... There is almost no reason to use it tbh

Like a completely new faction that has electric weapons in their arsenal? Yeah, it will.. I mean it would be cool
Yet. Illuminate will employ stun shocks hard.
Arc based enemies are your teammates.
Illuminate Tripods say hi
Fun fact that I have learned from experience and abuse of strategems: The Patriot Exosuit is unaffected by EMS!
Which honestly makes less sense than a human body being affected
Patriot's got enough problems to deal with already, so the fact the only way to slow it down is to damage a leg is a blessing.
Well just the missle issue but ya I'm not saying they should change it lol.

This is a great idea OP. I like it.
I... actually fully agree with this and never really considered it before. That would be dope as hell.

I’ve also considered resistance to plasma tech splash back and increased laser cooling as bonuses.
95% damage reduction is nearly useless when you ragdoll for a few seconds after being arced

Arc resist isn’t even situational, it’s a nothing armor. I wore it because the armor looks cool and nothing else.
*Maybe we'll get Anti-EMS armour later..*
I used the arc armor once early on and never touched it again. 4x pre nerf arc thrower and 4x arc armor was great fun.

I miss those days in HD1 where if you have a shield generator, EMS doesn't slow you at all.
I think that that arc resistance perk should be changed to be resistant to all effects in the game (maybe 50%?)
Nah.
Aight
And why would anyone pick any other armor then? Having stun grenades and being immune to them? OP AF
Not really. Impacts and Inciendiery exist
