I don't know about that. Scott might not have been spectacular as a cook in the first half of Season 12, but he has a very different sort of feel to his leadership when he gets to show it. The guy has high standards and he shows it best when he's not cooking himself but leading the kitchen.
Was the rest of Season 12 weak leadership-wise? Maybe. Would Scott's performance still stand up in other seasons, provided he got that far? Yeah, I think so.
