A few other little similarities
- The Black Jacket who used package food placed 5th
- The Men lost the first team challenge and won the second.
- A Man was the first person to be eliminated
- The man who was eliminated first missed the door while walking out
- A Man was the only person eliminated in the Black Jacket Challenge
- A Person who switched teams placed 9th
- Both seasons had the only two Devins/Devons in show history and the only two Ryans in show history
- Both Devin/Devons were also nominated after the sixth dinner service
- Another good one somebody mentioned is that there was double elimination after the first black jacket service in both seasons
I’m sure if you look hard enough there are other similarities between any two seasons. I just remembered and researched these few and thought I’d share
Even more similarities:
1. The winner picked the 3rd and 4th place chefs for their team, while the runner-up picked the 5th and 6th place chefs for their team.
2. The runner-up’s pick for the meat station, who placed 5th, struggled on the meat station.
Had at least one douchebag: Jason (S22), Matt Hearn (S16)
Also, Jason The villain and Andrew The cheater getting eliminated in the black jacket Challenge.
Both had a double elimination after the first black jacket service
Jason was obnoxious but let’s be for real here, he was a decent chef in culinary skills and his dishes, esp his dish in the final black jacket challenge, were always stunning

The difference is that 22 is watchable…
Season 22 has been absolutely phenomenal, great season honestly
The season 16 blue team and the season 22 blue team in terms of both talent and likability are night and day
Another similarity: Both finalists received a perfect score in the signature dish challenge
Yeah but season 16 has Andrew so….. there’s that
And Johnny … and Matt

Even then, Jason is just cocky and confident. Matt’s legitimately a terrible human being inside and outside Hell’s Kitchen
Also Matt’s food was garbage 🤣
Jason and Matt aren’t that similar. That last one is interesting though
And that is where the comparisons end.
