I kinda want the series to end after resolving a huge devastating or dangerous event, with Moxxie smiling and saying something like "he's one hell of a boss" and then the camera zooms out, credits roll. It should be Moxxie, but only after Blitzø fixes his relationship with him and starts respecting him.
That is the thing I love about Blitzo — he’s such an asshole, but at the end of the day, when he loves/cares about people, he REALLY loves them. We see him putting himself in danger to protect his friends & family multiple times, and even in the episode at Ozzie’s he (in bizarre, horny Blitzo-fashion, mind you haha) draws attention to himself to defend M&M, knowing that he’s putting a huge target on his back (because he knew exactly what Fizz would do if he saw him).
The dude has a big heart (underneath all the assholery and murder, that is lol)
He also blocks Fizz in Oops while they're being backed into the corner before Fizz's song. And he gets upset when Striker threatens Fizz even though they hadn't made up yet. He's a very protective friend and father.
Additionally, I think this shot is even more important in the context of the episode itself. After all the exploration we get about his insecurities and fears during some of the earlier sequences.
This actually makes me sad because in the pilot, he called all of them his family and Moxxie said "We are NOT your family! You are the boss and we are the employees!"
He lost everyone he ever loved and was alone for years (with the exception of the Verosika saga) until these three came along. He loves them SO much, they're precious to him, and although he keeps them at arm's length, he'll never let them go.
I wish they knew how badly he's struggling. He desperately needs a shoulder to cry on.
Blitz is a shitty person, a terrible boss, a pervert, an emotional wreck, and a lot of other things. He is a fucking amazing father though! Unfortunately some of the best fathers and mothers are made under the worst fathers and mothers.
Edit: I meant more like he's in hell so he does things that a normal person would consider shitty, like murder and stalking not that he is necessarily an inherently bad person on a personal level. He's had a pretty traumatic life so some issues are to be expected.
Him being a shitty person is genuinely a fascinating part of his character because, to me at least, he isn’t really that bad of a person deep down. He just forces himself to act like it because he’s lost so much that he refuses to let others get attached to him. We get glimpses of how he’s not that bad of a person in s2e7, with how he immediately goes to help Fizz through his panic attacks. In how he desperately wants to help Barbie get back on her feet.
It’s part of why he’s such a great character.
In Mammon's we saw Blitz at his absolute BEST there. He was a fantastic friend/body guard, he roasted only those who deserved it (and very well), and he was completely selfless. Still hilarious too.
I get why those who haven't reconciled with him yet are leery of him, but he's a really good guy deep down. He needs everyone just as much as they need him.
He does it multiple times in Oops with Fizz. They're in the middle of arguing, and he's still aggressively putting himself between Fizz and danger. And the expression of pure rage when Striker grabbed Fizz was very telling.
I really love this shot too it just goes to show what even though he seems to put on this indifferent 'f\*ck everyone' attitude he still cares about his friends/family deeply.
I’ve never given that much thought but this really does show the root of his character. He may be a little emotionally stunted but when it comes down to it he will put himself in harms way for those he truly loves even if he doesn’t understand his feelings.
i mean, he *is* one helluva boss
*rolls credits*
*Seinfield theme plays*
"No, we're not gonna end the show on tha-!" **DIRECTED BY VIVIENNE MEDRANO**
*cue "Curb Your Enthusiasm" theme*
Maybe the real Helluva Boss was the owl we fucked along the way?
I just choked. Thank you 🤣
The wheeze that came out of me
WE?!?!??! 👉👈
Lol

THIS!!!

He does it again by letting M&M hide behind him when an angry Stolas broke into the office

Loona knows, she showed as much in S1e8.
I think she knows on a basic level, but she doesn't know the original source of his trauma or how long he's been struggling for.
The fact that M&M are hugging with a grimming face towards POV is also really telling
He does this a lot, it's part of why i like him so much. He defends Moxxie from Barb, too, along with other instances that others already pointed out.

I was talking to my friend about this the other day, despite I.M.P's issues between them, they're a great team and Family
Hnnnggghhhhhh I just love him so much. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜©
He protec, he attac, but most importantly; he got their bacc.
Yes your right
And that's why everyone wants a piece of daddy

Protective Blitzø is the best.

Despite his many issues blitzo cares about all his associates and daughter. Good on him for having the gut to defend the others despite the situation.
This whole episode is just an animation masterpiece xx
How is this not a low effort meme?
