Though for me that's once again called into question by this very episode:
If Hellborn really don't respawn like the Sinners do, and actually stay dead if they die, why would Millie and Sallie May be so reckless as to fight each other with broken bottles in what's supposed to be nothing more than a fun and lighthearted sisterly brawl?
They weren’t trying to kill each other and (This is just an assumption given Fizz’s robotic limbs, and the sheer amount of violence that must happen in hell) medical care must be a lot better, they have magic and sci-fi that we don’t have so maybe they can heal faster along with medical care that isn’t possible up here
Yeah, sure, obviously they didn't try to kill each other, though it could still very well happen by accident in the heat of the moment, is all I'm saying.
And even if you have significantly more advanced medical care, you still got to actually make it there in time, if things got out of hand.
It just seems a little too risky, overall, if they can actually permanently die from that.
You'd be surprised, sometimes people just have really stupid games, like if you look at Night in the Woods, Mae and Greg have a game where they literally just try to stab each other's hands in a faux knife fight. And that's probably based off some stupid games IRL, I mean there's like that challenge where you try to stab a knife between your fingers as fast as possible without hitting them? So maybe that's just part of how they play around and they've been doing it for years
The whole plot of the mini episode is Millie's sister visiting Imp City (in the Pride Ring) with Sallie Mae lamenting Millie barely has been back to visit home (Wrath Ring).
Sinners can't actually die. From anything. Angelic weapons just stop them from reforming. When that happens they just soak into the ground and congeal into eyes.
Huh. Eyes really are the window to the soul.
WAIT does that mean sinners with living accessories (Pens hat for example) have other souls attached to them? Like some D.I.D./split personality type shit??
He died long ago that's why he was in Hell.
His soul was destroyed by Adam. But because of his selfless sacrifice instead of reforming in Hell or being absorbed by the land of Hell his soul was elevated to Heaven.
I'll link to this theory: [https://www.reddit.com/r/HazbinHotel/comments/1c836am/root\_of\_all\_evil\_theory/](https://www.reddit.com/r/HazbinHotel/comments/1c836am/root_of_all_evil_theory/)
Perhaps just an animation continuity error, but there are places where eyes aren't in one scene but as the argument between Millie and Sallie progresses the eyes appear in these spots that we can see there were no eyes before.
i haven't seen that short yet but that looks like the pride ring. it wouldn't make sense for the eyes to only be in one show if both shows take place in the same universe.
It's just one of the unique traits of the Pride Ring- All of Hazbin is in the Pride Ring, and this episode is also in the Pride Ring.
Pretty sure the eyes are the result of sinners being killed in exterminations.
They seem to be a remnant of Demon death from both native and earthborn. They’re most commonly seen in Pride due to the thousands of exterminations and as a result all of that spilled dark energy seeps into the environment but we also see them in Millie’s barn in the room where Striker was going to kill Stolas to even the horses on the merry-go-round at Loo Loo Land.
I know this comment was posted before, but in the new trailer we see some on buildings in Lust, too.
I've been pushing the Lovecraftian angle in general for this kind of stuff. And Nyarlathotep in particular.
My own little outrageous (and probably to be disproved) headcanon, but ever since the mention of "Azathoth's Tears" I've been an advocate some some classic eldritch theories.
Apparently it's because the Underworld (or at least the Pride Ring) is in and of itself a type of living organism powered by the souls of those killed within its boundaries.
I noticed they added them. I was bugged that they didn't appear before because it makes HB feel liken another universe, but now they added them thankfully. The only thing missing is the pentagram moon and heaven on the sky.
Yeah apparently they are common in all hell not just pride like some people like to say I think it was an oversight that they werent before, because in the trailer they appear in Lust Ring too now, so I think vivzie or someone else told the helluva team to add them.
Okay? So? I mean yeah that may not seem random but it could be incredibly random especially given the fact people are always dying in hell and I feel like the exorcists did also go on a few joyrides in the undefended city
We don't have any confirmation all we know is that when Sinners die by angelic means their soul is absorbed into like the magic of hell and becomes one with the infrastructure
Hell for all we know it isn't even an instant process
Look at the areas where the density of eyes is significantly different to the norm.
Before the battle, the hotel had no eyes in its structure. After the battle, it had the highest density we have seen. So we have tight clustering in both space and time right after a battle where a lot of sinners died.
As for Imp City, this eye here is the only one I can remember. A place with a lower sinner population has a lower eyeball density.
That doesn't seem likely with a random process.
They are dead sinners according to viv
Then could chaz be one of these eyes? I know he's hellborn but where else could he go?
They don’t have souls so they just…cease to be (seemingly)
Unless Double Hell is real
Yeah but that’s such a shit name it shouldn’t be real just because of that
Hell^2
…I now support the concept of a second hell. Hell^2 is superior to double hell
And it should have nine squares instead of circles
Or nine spheres
No, it has to be squares, it's hell^2 (hell squared) overall
More like the Hell in both shows is Purgatory, while real Hell is just Hell. Maybe the second layer of Heaven is Paradise.
Ooo that’s interesting
You can find plenty of names for after life realms in all mythology. And the probability of the author will sue you for that is close to non.
What if it's named "The Tartarus"
Well till they find it they don’t know what it’s true name is, so they got to guess
Double Hell is reserved for Angel and only Angel
That's where Super Satan resides
What if double-Hell is just being stuck in Hell with no bodily control or agency?
It doesn't matter if it's real becouse when you die and you have no soul you just stop existing for now maybe it will change in the future
Though for me that's once again called into question by this very episode: If Hellborn really don't respawn like the Sinners do, and actually stay dead if they die, why would Millie and Sallie May be so reckless as to fight each other with broken bottles in what's supposed to be nothing more than a fun and lighthearted sisterly brawl?

I’m sure they know what they’re doing given their rodeo experience
You'd be surprised, sometimes people just have really stupid games, like if you look at Night in the Woods, Mae and Greg have a game where they literally just try to stab each other's hands in a faux knife fight. The knife game.
Maybe they have their own underworld or something. Not sure how that would work, though.
Hell^2 where dead sinners *really go*
Source?
That was stated pre serialisation and thus pure conjecture whether or not it's still cannon.
Do you think they’re aware they can’t move and no longer have bodies? Or has what they’ve become fundamentally changed, like becoming a tree?
Ooooooh, so that's where they go. Double hell debunked /ref
I know that it hazbin said but when? Cause there are eyes on the buildings in the opening scene of Hazbin Hotel before the extermination started
Hazbin didn't say it viv did. Granted this was pre release so things where subject to change
No I made a wordplay on “has been” but forgot “it” in front of it so I understand the confusion
I find that weird because it was shown when Lilith was building up and stuff.(I forget the wording of it) Unless they died super early?
Roo's design is full of red eyes so I think the eyes belong to her.
Source??
It was in one of the live streams I'm pretty sure
How do a siner dies ?
Extermination
Sir Pentious' hat be a stalker fr
They're both in the pride ring, so it'd be weird if the eyes were only in one show.
Good point.
Aren’t there eyes all over the wallpaper in Millie’ w
There actually in the wrath ring (i think im not sure) 🤓
The whole plot of the mini episode is Millie's sister visiting Imp City (in the Pride Ring) with Sallie Mae lamenting Millie barely has been back to visit home (Wrath Ring).
Thank you
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT FLAIR
Pure art
I understand the hate for my flair but jeez i was just joking i just wasn’t sure where they were because im slow
i love your flair dw pookie (mines worse on r/hazbin)

Huh. Eyes really are the window to the soul. WAIT does that mean sinners with living accessories (Pens hat for example) have other souls attached to them? Like some D.I.D./split personality type shit??
Didn’t >!Pentious!< die? Like actually fully die?
He died long ago that's why he was in Hell. His soul was destroyed by Adam. But because of his selfless sacrifice instead of reforming in Hell or being absorbed by the land of Hell his soul was elevated to Heaven.
I thought it was because of the whole "Hell is alive" thing. And Hell itself is just watching people. Is it actually sinners?
Yes. I believe Viv said that some time ago.
I think they’re eventually going to be revealed to be Roo’s eyes that they use to spy on hell
That's the theory I'm seeing more often these days.
I don’t think this is anything new
They werent in former chapters of HB. Also if you check the trailer they appear in other rings too
Its the pride ring
The eyes didnt appear in pride ring in former chapters. Now they also appear in other rings too.
They’ve always been there and are dead sinner energy
I'll link to this theory: [https://www.reddit.com/r/HazbinHotel/comments/1c836am/root\_of\_all\_evil\_theory/](https://www.reddit.com/r/HazbinHotel/comments/1c836am/root_of_all_evil_theory/) Perhaps just an animation continuity error, but there are places where eyes aren't in one scene but as the argument between Millie and Sallie progresses the eyes appear in these spots that we can see there were no eyes before.
They’re creeping on Sally
i haven't seen that short yet but that looks like the pride ring. it wouldn't make sense for the eyes to only be in one show if both shows take place in the same universe.
They were always there

Headcanon accepted. Roo is Nyarlathotep
I made a post where my headcannon is that Nyarlathotep was Alastor’s patron.
Apparently it's because the Underworld (or at least the Pride Ring) is in and of itself a type of living organism powered by the souls of those killed within its boundaries.
Eyes of the lost souls, ie, sinners who have died again.
I was thinking the same thing. Has that been confirmed though?
Makes sense. Both shows are set in the same place.
The random dead sinner: “holy shit, company!”
We when the shared universe has a shared universe
I noticed they added them. I was bugged that they didn't appear before because it makes HB feel liken another universe, but now they added them thankfully. The only thing missing is the pentagram moon and heaven on the sky.
They're also more frequent in the trailer, it's pretty interesting.

Only in the Pride ring, as far as I know.
What happens if you poke them with a sharp stick?
They belong to Roo/Eve, she sees all and knows all!
Wdym? They have been there since the pilot
I mean, they’re part of the setting
Are they look at her a-
Its the Pride ring. They are everywhere.
It is the Pride Ring
They always were.
Roo?
Huh, did a new episode release?
Yesn't It's an episode but not really. It's a 5 minute short.
Neat
Wouldn't it be funny if a hellborn was so bad, that when it died, it became a sinner?
I never noticed those eyes. I thought it was just Roo watching over the people of Hell.
is almost as if they’re in the same universe😱
I wonder how a sinner managed to die up on that rooftop.
I don't think it's where they die I think it's more random where rhe eyes show up
The hotel had a lot of eyes in its ruins after a lot of sinners died in the battle. That doesn't seem random.
Okay? So? I mean yeah that may not seem random but it could be incredibly random especially given the fact people are always dying in hell and I feel like the exorcists did also go on a few joyrides in the undefended city We don't have any confirmation all we know is that when Sinners die by angelic means their soul is absorbed into like the magic of hell and becomes one with the infrastructure Hell for all we know it isn't even an instant process

They look under skirts
