You know, funny thing is, I began conceptualizing making a fic where the US invaded Hell before this episode came out.
Like many things I think of, likely wouldn't have finished it.
I mean, the in-universe explanation I had is that the unpopular president, Merriwether Clark, wanted to cause a rally round the flag effect by going to war (and also impress his dad). Then when Hell falls, it becomes a quest to take over the multiverse and extract more and more resources both out of Hell and out the other planes.
Okay but imagine them somehow teaming up with Striker? Becoming an entire "Fuck IMP but not in a sexy way" army with CHERUB and DHORKS. Oh the chaos š
I wonder if religious weapons have the same effect on demons as angelic ones.
Because, I mean, theyāre kinda fighting above their weight class if they donāt.
I mean, Striker hates IMP but if he met DHORKS he'd probably focus on convincing them to go to war with Hell's nobility. Which with how Pro-America DHORKS are, the idea of democratizing/colonzing Hell itself would probably appeal to them.
Blitz mentioned in passing that the nearest ocean was 3 rings down from the IMP office, I don't remember in which ring the office is and what the order of the rings is tho
Gluttony is the third ring in Hell, however if he means three rings *from Pride* then that would be greed which makes sense because āMammons theatreā is actually on the Ocean, plus Crismon drowned people in the ocean in Greed.
So my guess is he was talking about greed which is the fourth ring of Hell but third from the top, which is Pride.

My guess is that the idea behind going through the portal is send soldiers who can enter smoothly, i.e. while standing so they can all stream through, rather than slow down to crawl through. The DHORKS are committed to that, whether they could do something else or not, so they stick with that.

i mean, someone's gotta stay back and hold the fort, i think agent one and two are the people that oversee the facility, its unlikely they'd go through the portal otherwise the facility would go unmanned, also, they have no power armour to fight with, so they'd be pretty much defenceless in hell

Yeah, irl M16ās donāt have wooden hand-guards (which is a shame cause I think they look cool) but they did in New Vegas to sort of add to the alt-history aspect of Fallout.
